So sorry to hear about your hubby's government job. I sure hope the shut down ends soonl I went back to work too a few years ago when my hubby retired. It's tuff at first. Hang in there and take care of your feet. Hugz!
Apologies for not being around for a while I have some health issues affecting me very badly right now but dropped by to see how the forum is going for 5 mins and am sorry to hear the government shutdown has a negative effect on you and yours (and many others I assume as well) congrats on a new job I hope that is working well for you and you enjoy it enough to want to stick with it and hope everything comes back together as you want it as soon as possible. Of course I will be pleased when you feel able to get into creating again and look forward to that as well just as I look forward to being up and around to play my games again and being around the forum..
Aw man, Rflong. I'm so sorry to hear about all the troubles. : ( It truly hurts my heart that you're going through that. Please take your time. I truly hope things turn around soon. This shutdown is just... well, I'm not actually allowed to say what I think about it here. Not appropriate. Anyways, lots of virtual hugs for you and the hubby.
Update: I know your world isn’t at the top of your list right now, but the tomb is almost ready. Well, it basically is, just doing some more testing rounds to iron any flaws or errors or improve the experience (also thanks to my kids who were so sweet to test it for me with fresh and unprepared eyes and gave tips and came up with some ideas; they hadn’t played Sims 3 for years so it was fun for all parties to see them play, and the very different way they handled the game ).
Anyway, what do I do? Post the tomb here, or send it to you through PM?

Hi
How cool to have your kids help with testing and ideas.
Are you uploading it? You can share it here for everyone- even if they don't have the world. Whichever way you want.
Yes, they can be angels if they choose to haha I’ll upload it to MediaFire and share it here then (with some pictures, like the others have shared houses). Hope to see it in your world one day, even when it indeed can be played everywhere. Had the location in mind you sent me, high up in the sand hills.
My tomb is ready!! (trumpets) Tested tested tested, everything works the way it's supposed to. It is called Desert Palace and it's built on a 30x30 lot, it's meant to be placed in this spot if you download Rflong's world:
Everything in it is from the basegame and World Adventures, except for the tulips (they're from the Store). Not sure if they'll be replaced when you don't have them in your game, but the place looks quite nice with just grass as well
So, is your sim up for the experience...?
If you like to take a peek inside, feel welcome to open the spoiler frame. The link is in there as well.
Open doors...
Find the treasures...
Read the signs...
Solve the mysteries...
Face the danger...
If you....
... dare.
Link to the tomb
In case you decide to download and play it, I hope you'll have fun exploring!

I didn't open the spoiler tag so that way I can explore it for myself once I boot up sims 3, I'm excited!
I don't have rflongs world though, as awesome as their worlds are.
I forgot, if I place the lot on a regular residential lot on my home world will it still function? Or does it need to be a destination world?
Like Rflong says, you can place it in any world you like and play it (this particular world isn’t ready yet by the way). I tried not to give away too much when posting the pictures by the way.

Oh, one more thing I forgot: if the building appears with little trains attached to the eaves or something like that, that might be a replacement for the ornaments I used They aren’t basegame or WA either, don’t recall what expansion they came with though.
Omg @Rflong7 this looks amazing! It reminds me of the TS2 world from PS2. If you ever feel like creating me a small replica so that I can populate it... wink nudge!
Update on what's going on... which is nothing in CAW this month.
I've been fretting and worrying about our government shut down (my husband does work for the government) and I don't create well when I'm stressed. With money short, I got a job and am now working. Since I haven't worked in what feels like Ages, I'm a little tired from standing on my feet for so long. I've not been in a good mood to create in CAW.
I'm also not going to quit when he goes back to work (if I work out there) but I will get used to working and then can get back to CAW.
Thanks for understanding. :HUGZ:
I wish all the best for you guys, though I'm sorry to read about the stress that has caused you. I hope you really enjoy your new job

It's been fascinating watching this develop from the bottom up. I love the look of this world, the idea is so original. All those different climates on one map is a wonderful idea. Imagine the stories you can tell! Wonderful job, it's incredible!
I did finish the karaoke bar (inside) and decided to work on a big lot, the Desert Hotel and Casino. Yes, that's the inspiring name.
I've finished most of the inside and only plan on having 3 rooms. I'll have to test out the set up because I haven't played or built a resort in a long while.
Wow, that looks awesome ! Is it a resort?
(if you place the tomb I’d like to see a picture of that too, see what it looks like in your world since I’ve only seen it in Al Simhara on some random lot myself)

Makes me really sad there's no create a world for Sims 4
@JoAnne65 Oh, My Goodness- thank you so much. It looks so detailed and colorful. I can't wait to play it and see everything. Love it.
@Zeldaboy180 Thank you.
The lot should function in the regular hood when placed on a Community lot.

Hi
Thanks!
I don't know where to go with this now... I guess I have to just build community lots.
Thanks so much, @MissyHissy
I finished the Library/Community center (the one with the red/blue dots)
And then built a gas station/karaoke bar in the desert area.
