Sorry for the delay in responding to all your wonderful comments everyone! It has been a busy time with uni.
@rosemow thank you as always! It took some time but I did manage to fix all the pathing haha.
@blueshreve thank you I hadn't intended to put it there but I figured it managed the space better than putting a plant there and putting it against the wall. I always have difficulty with those areas because it always feels odd to me to just put the shower, bath and toilet all next to each other, even though that's how they usually are haha.
Also your pet barn looks very authentic! Very cleverly built
@siresamson Thanks for the advice! I likely won't alter it now as it has already been put in the gallery, but it is good to keep in mind in future. I did want to use two story pillars in the front but of course there aren't any haha. As for the tympanums, I had to keep a symmetrical look to them to match the French Baroque Style, which is usually quite decadent haha. For British tympanums though they definitely are more along the less is more style you mentioned. Nice mansion as well btw!
@lonnykins Thank you for the triple adjective haha I saw your comment as well and it was very sweet!
@kilra0 Thank you Very clever use of the circle rug to imitate snow btw! Do you mind if I borrow that for my next holiday build? Your cottage looks extremely cozy as well!
@liel88 very cool how the entire look and feel alter with some minor adjustments haha!
@Nicksims thank you! Your hamptons estate is very well done! I especially like the entrance hall as well as the walkway in the front. The landscaping is spot on! I'm actually planning on my next build in this style
@faithofkaela awesome looking modern home! It has just enough of a subtle holiday feel to it as well I adore the yellow kitchen and dining area. You captured the modern vibe so well! Decor throughout looks awesome. Thanks also for your lovely words If you don't mind I'm going to nominate this build
My latest build moves to the Mediterranean style, in keeping with my new self-challenge of trying new styles every time haha. I built it as a request for @Rumpelstiltskin It was quite difficult to build my first starter and budget when I'm so used to never paying any attention to that haha (A biiiiiiiiiig thank you to everyone who offered advice and tips along the way!!!!!!!).
I called it Desert Toddlers Family Starter. Note, you must delete the chandelier, cars and toddler toys to get it to a starter price of 24k for a family of three It fits well into the style of Oasis Springs and I built it on the empty lot in the starter zone that costs 1500 (the desert sands lot not the grass one).
Desert Toddler Family Starter is a very nice home! @Nore Very nice exterior design and layout of the build! I have posted about your starter home on your showcase thread.
@NickSims : oooh, wonderful house! Absolutely love the architecture and the interiors are so elegant ans beautiful, love it!
@Kalino : that is some gorgeous CC! Btw, loving all the animals you have in your Gallery!
Oasis Grove looks gorgeous @DopieDopeSim ! I love the beautiful architecture and landscaping!
Absolutely in love with the stunning interior design in your mid century remodel @FaithofKaela !
Wow, Myshuno Square looks fantastic, loving all the detail you put in the decorating of the exterior! Will be looking forward to the finished build!
Beautiful job on your Desert Toddlers starter house @Nore ! Love the exterior, it looks like such a cute Spanish villa, and the landscaping turned out so well, amazing you did all this on a starter budget!
I'm honoured @Nore Also - Desert Toddlers Family Starter is adorable, you have completely nailed that Mediterranean style, it's got so many cute little features, love the swans on the pond
Thank you @Nore! Your new home looks so amazing! I absolutely love it, so unique and so much detail. I can see you really put a lot of thought and a lot of work in it, great job!
Light the fireplace, warm up the cocoa, Christmas Cabin is ready for a quiet night of watching the snowfall or calling all your friends over to party. However you celebrate the season, May you find peace and warmth.

Golden Fleece is a warm and cosy festive house in true traditional style ready for the Christmas celebrations to begin. There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in this family home, together with living and dining rooms, kitchen, games room, study and piano room. Various outdoor areas including swimming pool, bbq dining, lounge with bar and children's area
Christmas Cabin is a very nice Cabin home for Christmastime! @BlueShreve The wooden texture of the walls and the snowy white roofing looks great! The colourful string lights and wreaths on the wall, the white lit trees and the candles creating the front footpath look very pretty! The snowman is cute! Very nice layout of the interior. The fireplace sitting nook looks a nice warm place for Sims to enjoy sitting on the sofa or armchair near the fire, having a chat and enjoying seeing the Christmas tree with the presents and toys surrounding it. The nutcracker and candles are nice touches on the festive fireplace. The garlands are nice touches on the interior walls. Very nice green festive dining table for sims to enjoy eating meals at. The candles on the table top look pretty and the type of dining chairs used looks very nice. It looks very nice how the kitchen cabinets have been placed on the walls.
It is a warming Christmas Cabin!
Golden Fleece is such a very pretty and festive home! @masajo The golden lit trees, the white string lights, the strings of snowflakes on the exterior walls, and the lights on the edges of the pathways look so very pretty! Very nice furnishing of the interior of the home! The colour scheme is very nice. I have posted about your home on your showcase thread.
A very big thank you dear @rosemow for all your wonderful support and kindness, your words are always such a great pleasure to read and bring so much happiness
@Nore - you already know I adore your Desert Toddlers Family Starter, in fact, I nominated it for a Maxis fav
@BlueShreve - your Christmas cabin is really cute, you did a great job with the roofing.
@masajo - Golden Fleece is amazing sweetie, but then, I shouldn't be surprised, it's built by you The architecture is gorgeous, your rooflines are incredible, your landscaping, as usual, is beautiful! Your interiors strike just the right tone between modern and classic. Stupendous!!
@rosemow I saw your comments, they were wonderful as always
@Rumpelstiltskin Thank you, however, I cannot take full credit for it haha. I saw it somewhere before although I cannot recall exactly where, but full credit to them!
@Corwim Thank you The landscaping was my favourite part as well, I usually am not that amazing at making authentic looking landscaping so this was quite a difficult task to do so with free items haha. They key to my budgeting was definitely free items and creativity with those items lol !
@FaithofKaela Thank you! I always like putting tiny weird clutter in random places sometimes so there's always something for players to discover. And of course I'm glad to nominate amazing builds like yours! Thank you again as well for the nomination
@Blueshreve Thanks! Your cabin looks quite warm and cozy!
@liel88 Thank you I sometimes wonder if I put too much consideration and work in haha. Mostly because I had or rather still somewhat have moderate to severe OCD. Which makes it easy for me to spend too much time agonising over every detail. I try to use the Sims as a form of therapy by stopping myself from doing things like using Control-Z and Control-Y a hundred times back and forth to decide if I like one variation or another more haha. So far it has been somewhat but not entirely successful. I can say it would definitely be nice to make a build without any consideration at all but I feel I'm not quite there yet haha.
@masajo beautifully done house! The colour scheme works so well to create a feeling of warmth and the interior is so envious!
Finished the exterior of my latest build. It began as a starter for Brindleton, but then I figured I might as well make it my holiday project since I wanted to do something like that now haha. I'm glad I did
I must admit this is likely the most creative lot I have ever built. I spent wayyyyy too much time researching and then scrolling through ever item endlessly in an effort to create the stuff I had in mind. In the end, it was very enjoyable to do some holiday stuff that we don't otherwise try for the rest of the year haha. My goal was to stay true to the Cape Cod style of the expansion and create a house that was decorated for Christmas rather than being entirely Winter-themed. I also wanted to somehow create a partially melted snow effect, which was way more difficult now than in TS3 where we had terrain tools and snow haha.
Anyway, some of the features I tried to include were some snow effects on the ground, roof and trees, a wonderful Nativity scene that is likely my favourite part of the entire build followed in second by Santa's sleigh led by Rudolf on the roof (actually had to google how many reindeer there should be haha), a custom Christmas tree with toys that I built in front, and a Christmas-themed porch dining area (had to get very creative with outdoor enclosed areas so none of the many items I raised with 9/0 would fall when the lot was placed haha). Haven't begun on the interior furnishing yet, but I'm planning at least a cool trainset idea and some Holiday paintings!
I had intended to enter this house into the QC Contest after I modified it to include the Tree and Reindeer farm on a bigger lot. However, I went wayyyyy over budget thanks for the Christmas lights. Ended up spending about 50k on just them. There doesn't seem to be any way to make them less expensive as I had to make them small to look authentic and nice. I wonder @Cbear13 if you might be doing a contest with no budget where I could enter this house?
Anyway, enough yapping. Should just link some pictures
Your Cape Cod Style home decorated for Christmas looks so very pretty ! @Nore Very nice design of the exterior! The roofing and upper balcony looks very nice! The reindeers pulling Santa and his sleigh are such a very special festive touch on the roof! The white string lights look very nice through the areas of the exterior! The wreath is a nice touch on the upper balcony door and the flower box windows are a nice touch. It looks so very lovely and very special how you have done the Nativity scene! It is so very creatively nice! Very nice Christmas tree area! The snow is a nice touch on the tree and the presents and toys are nice around the base of the tree . The snowman is cute there! Very nice curved porch outdoors dinng area! Sims will enjoy cooking meals on the bbq and sitting at the festive table, eating the meal and having a drink from the bar in the outdoors air, They will enjoy looking at the pretty silvery Christmas tree whilst dining. The white and yellow flowers look nice either sides of the front entrance. The snow in the trees, on the roof and on the ground in the build looks great! Very nice art nook area in the backyard. It is a nice touch that an umbrella is over the top of the easel . The white lit tree is pretty in the build.
It is such a very creatively designed Christmas holiday cottage!
@nore - your Christmas home is amazing, I just adore the Santa and his reindeer on the roof, so creative! And wow, you did a great job with the roofing as well.
Another new build for you today, this one was created for @Cbear13's Quality Control Competition "Christmas Trees." We were tasked with building a beautiful country cottage for Kristoff and Mrs Kringle, complete with, a small Christmas tree farm, a stable to breed and raise reindeers and a small vegetable garden with growing produce. This is what I came up with:
Christmas Tree Cottage
The Cottage
The Private Rear Garden
The Christmas Tree Farm
The Stables
The Stable Office
As usual, more pictures are available on my imgur thread.
Christmas Tree Cottage is a very nice home for the Kringles! @FaithofKaela Each area of the build is very creatively designed! I have posted about the cottage on your showcase thread but just wanted to say again, that it is very nice home! The stables and Christmas tree farm areas looks great!
@Nore That build is one of the most creative I've ever seen! I absolutely adore how you did Santa and the reindeer on the roof plus the nativity scene. Wow, just so beautifully done. Can't wait to see the inside! Thanks so much for sharing!
@FaithofKaela what a cozy home with great details! I love the outdoor kitchen and stables /barn. I was wondering how to create a driveway to a garage with a foundation - of course a roof!! thanks so much
Where there is Hope a very classy midcentury build and as well so many lovely details in here. You had enough money left for a pool wow! Maybe I should have tried that one too. Cool title btw
@Nore wow again such a cute cottage, love the roofing and round terrace. The crib is wonderful and the Santa on the round roof is a great idea, too, especially the red nose but I really hope that you have seen a reindeer in RL just kidding, your house is adorable
your spanish hut is also a tiny masterpiece. The garage door! very creative
@masajo I've seen your house on the gallery, congrats on the fav wonderful landscaping and lighting and very cozy interior
@BlueShreve a lovely rustic and spacious mountain hut with a cool front view. the corner with all the Christmas present is too cute
@Kalino I'm in love with the antlers is there anything you can't do with pets ???
@DopieDopeSim very nice modern shell and great landscaping, fits very well
@ysa88 wow! Cool and modern! what should I say ?! it's gorgeous!
@CaioSantos a very classy cottage, very calm and soft colour sheme, I like it.
@liel88 haha this is a dutch home, isn't it? That thin and long! Great hallway with the catwalk on the second level and lovely interiors too
@Corwim don't know if I already told to that your clinc ended up in a stunning build, I believe so but if not: it's adorable!
@NickSims Hampton Estate is so beautiful and let me think of pictures I saw of the American east coast. Well done!
