The Japanese men previously wore beautiful robes - kimonos. As far as I know the robes are still worn, as kimono means something along the lines of "item you wear." I'm not a native Japanese speaker and I haven't extensively studied Japanese history (or clothing styles for that matter) so if anyone here is, forgive me if I get something wrong. It's my understanding the Japanese began shifting out of their style to a more Western style during the Meiji Period, and the Westernization of their military. Interestingly enough, women didn't adopt Western dress as quickly as men, if at all until much, much later as far as I can remember. I find the kimono styles, colors, and patterns beautiful.

Just another Boredom Cutie before I duck off to bed, I made a beautiful Maori woman this time. Her name is Atarangi and she loves the outdoors, playing her guitar and seafood, lots and lots of seafood!
I'm curious, how many people here start legacies using the same gender they identify as (or as close to as possible), and why?
(I know I'm really late to this topic, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents )
Although I play (and write about) female characters overwhelmingly, I find my male characters to be more interesting. They tend to be goofier and get into more trouble, like little puppy dogs.

I sort of expected the skew to be higher female since there seems to be more female players/writers. However, since I've seen a fair chunk of stories written from the male perspective, I was curious! Thanks for your input
