@Ainsleyf six got picked? I missed two. Grats to all!
@Laebeth same thing happened to me. I literally got so freaked I logged off. AAAAH! SPOTLIGHT. *looks for a place to hide* It was awesome though. Quite a rush.
@Carolynrosser your rooms is gorgeous. I saw it and the colors popped off the page. What a great place for a family to chill. Love it.
Also please tell your 11-year old daughter that her room is excellent. I love how it's sectioned off with a "just-for-kids" area with all the big teddy's in the far end. Kids will love that. Nice job. Tell your daughter she's inspired me. Here's why.

#oneroomoneweekonetheme #waitingroom for #rosemow's #buildingchallenge #nocc #simtested - A room for families to rest while their loved ones are being healed. The children's alcove was inspired by a build for this challenge by an 11-yr old creator's daughter. She included space exactly right for kids. My youngest son & I spent a lot of time in hospitals for the first ten years of his life. We always took Clark (his teddy bear). Clark loved to listen and entertain my son/other kids. ♥ #zevath

I am sorry to hear that your son had health issues when young. It would have been a very concerning time for you, seeing your loved son unwell. It was very special that Clark the teddy helped him endure through the hospital visits

Yay, such a good way to start the day when I get to work, sit down and see the first entries have come in!
(I do actually work as well guys, I'm not a total slob.. )
@carolynrosser I love the strong purple/pink colors against the softer pink/white. It looks beautiful! The room has plenty of fun activities for kids, and for adults to! That would make the time pass faster for those waiting
How special that your daughter wanted to make an entry as well! I would love for my kids to take an interest in building one day and maybe do that to, but they haven't so far though. My oldest is 3 and sometimes sits with me when I play and dictate what I should put in and where... it ends up being a bunch of cars, trains and pandas all over the place and no rhyme or reason
Your daughter's room looks beautiful! I really love how the main area is kept quite simple in a white color, but the sectioned off kids area has plenty of colors! Such a cool contrast The room also has plenty of fun activities for adults and kids to keep them entertained, which is so great! Your daughter is a creative mind, just like her mom
@amyybugg92 Welcome to the challenge, and how exciting to have made your first entry! I love you you have used the half walls to separate areas, and I love the use of all the strong colors. So colorful! The kitchen nook is large and has everything you need, and I love the added reception counter, that is a great touch! It's a gorgeous and creative room
@Jazztizz I'm starting to think you were just tricking me all a long, saying you might not enter and then.. BAM! Entry sent. haha. (I joke though, just jokes!) I'm really happy that you managed find inspiration and will to do this, although it is so close to you personally and bringing back maybe not the best of memories. It takes a strong person to do that
Your room is wonderfully serene, and has a relaxing feel to it. I love how the areas are sectioned off, and that fireplace with the grass is a cool detail! The pond is awesome, and really fitting this particular look and feel! Beautiful room Jazz, glad you were able to channel your creativity and make an entry
@coolsim9999999 What a colorful room! The green and blue colors and the choice of windows makes me think of a boat There's plenty of seating available, and there's more than enough activities to keep busy for those waiting! I like those machines you added, that's a nice detail And maybe a bit weird, but I love those double doors you chose, as they really remind me of hospital doors. It's a lovely room!
I am still pondering this theme, so not sure what to do yet. I have been very lucky in life so far and the only two times I've been omitted to the hospital was when my two sons were born. So I don't really have any personal experiences to draw from, but that doesn't mean I can't think of something.. it just means I have to think a little harder

I will look forward to seeing your room! @Laebeth I am sure that you will have inspiration very soon about the type of waiting room that you would like to create. Happy designing and simming!
@Rosemow I really appreciate your detailed reviews. As I read what you have written, I feel like you can magically also become a Sim to spend time in my room enjoying it. You notice everything. It's such a lovely gift. Thank you.
@Laebeth *hugs* The time in hospitals with my son was challenging for both of us, but I never felt that it was a bad time. Only necessary. I really appreciate your kind comment though, thank you. The hours and hours we spent just talking with Clark, making up stories, making other little kids who in the waiting room laugh -- those are priceless. A lot of time was spent at CHOP (awful acronym for a kids' hospital -- Children's Hospital of Philadelphia -- but their health-care specialists are among the best in the world.) I have a particularly beautiful memory of a little girl in that waiting room. The room had huge high walls and windows, very lovely area, lots of light, but noisy. She was tiny, and shy, but little by little she moved closer to us as until she was giggling along with Joe while Clark said his normal "bear of very little brain" type stuff.
Now fast forward to today and me with hospitals, and that's a different story. I try to be a good patient because I'm so grateful for modern technology and the healing staff. I'm also prone to anxiety. Maybe I need to take Clark with me too.

Hello @Jazztizz It was very special reading about the times that you spent with your son at the hospital It was so nice that Clark the teddy could help to make the time that the kids needed to spend there happier and a little easier to cope with. Teddies are so helpful, and bring comfort to people of all ages.
@Jazztizz I love how zen your room is! I've also been noticing how you and many others screenshot with sims in your rooms. That adds a nice touch. It's like "magazine" photos lol
It was very nice that you posted the extra screenshots of your room @coolsim9999999 I have posted about your room in an earlier post so I won't post again, but am enjoying looking at the new pictures
I'm so much behind with this thread! I'll try to catch up when I have more time.

Thank you for the congrats, @Rosemow! I'm surprised they added a room I uploaded a while ago. I thought they only added new rooms. It's great though that they faved it! Yay!

Thank you @Rosemow. Clark's going to be starring in some Evie videos when time allows. Our family teddy-bear club goes back almost 50 years and spans generations. So can't take credit. Lots of fun over the years.

Thanks @amyybugg92 I have been learning a lot since joining this thread including including the Sims. I agree it makes the shots much better.
The design and layout of Hospital Waiting Room is so very nice! @lsnishi The furnishing of each of the areas of the room looks so very nice! It is very special that famed architect Dora Exploradora has designed this very special room ! Very nice waiting area of the room! The blue colour scheme looks very calming and comforting. It looks very nice how the armchairs have been placed in a semi circle there, for sims to sit, rest and watch tv. Very nice sofa seats sitting nook, where the sides are facing each other. Sims will enjoy sitting there talking face to face, reading a book, or enjoy reading magazines from the magazine stands. The wall pictures and patterned floor rugs look very nice in the room. The heart medical sign is a nice touch on the wall, and the plants are nice touches of nature either sides of it. Nice windows sofa seat nook. The flowers either sides of the sofa ends are pretty for sims to see as they sit there, with sunlight coming in onto them through the windows. The sunlight will help to make them feel a little calmer. The clock is a nice touch on the walll. It is a nice touch that there is a passageway with arrows and coffee signs leading to the cafe.
Very nice coffe shop cafe! The red and white colour scheme looks very nice. It looks very nice how the tables and chairs have been set up there. The condiments look great on the table tops, Sims will enjoy sitting at the tables eating and drinking food and drinks they have ordered from the espresso bar, whilst they are waiting for news. The fruit, vegetable , coffee cup, menu board and pastry pictures are very nice touches on the walls and the teabags, mugs rack ,cake display item and fruit bowl look great on the counters.
The kids will have playing in their playroom area! The posters, cute animal pictures, prints, tree and hot air balloon look very nice on the walls! The colourful round floor rugs and flower prints look pretty. Kids will enjoy doing experiments on the science table, playing with the doll house or have fun with the puppet theatre. They will like sitting on the cute animal seat reading a book or doing artwork on the activity tables. There is a wide variety of fun things to do!
It is such a very nicely designed room, with the very nice furnishing of each area! Thankyou very much for entering this week's challenge!
Thank you @amyybugg92. I really enjoyed making it and enjoyed this challenge tremendously. I was really trying to make somewhere pleasant and welcoming since most of us do not enjoy spending time in a hospital waiting room. I think all the rooms so far have shown so much variety in decor and design and creativity. I love looking at everyone's builds!
@lsnishi Okay.. you pretty much nailed it! The level of detail in your room is just stunning! My favorite must be those signs indicating the coffee area and kids area. So clever! Love the colors, love the coffee area.. love everything!
Looking at all the rooms posted, and now yours, I might actually sit out this week Not because I'm discouraged, more because I just haven't gotten any inspiration yet, and I don't want to post something just for the sake of posting.. I want to be 100% happy with any room I do chose to post
So we'll see, if I get inspired over the weekend then maybe, if not I'm gonna wait for next weeks theme! I have a Tudor house I'm building at the moment so I'm keeping busy in any case
