I went to give toddlers & vampires a try and spent more time trying to fix all the bugs than playing. I managed to make a vampire and get her pregnant, then the bugs just came one after another. So I still don't have any toddlers, and my vampire is unplayable.

We're having a problem with our house. The pump on our well broke yesterday and we have no running water! Someone's coming out today to take a look. This is really going to cost us. We live in the hills outside city limits, and I love the woods, but Alaskan winters can be tough at times. At least we have electricity.
I've been spending some time writing past updates for my blog, filling in the gaps in the Al Medina story. I'm ready to get a new chapter written now.
I did add a little more backstory to one of the past posts. The narrative is new and so are a few of the pics. This actually happened before the night Krisalyn met Rome at the Americana Club though. It's part of 01-03. Enter the Cast for Act One
The story begins ...
Back home, Krisalyn read through the local newspaper, looking for any information she might find about Amazigh. But Leif was right. It was as if the dig site didn't even exist.
She took a trip down to Port Medina to check out where Rome Montez moored his houseboat, the Dulce Vida. This was the man Leif said should be the guide for her expedition.
Krisalyn made a quick trip to Leif Ericson's penthouse before her planned evening at the Americana Club. He was a busy man, but she was lucky to find him as he arrived home.
Krisalyn: Leif, I'm glad you'll be around this evening. But please, try not to look like you're spying. I'm nervous enough as it is.
Leif: You have no need to worry. I'm paying for this project, and I'm not about to see it fail.
Reassured, Krisalyn left. But she ran into Adrian just as he was parking his car. He lived on one of the lower floors of the condominium and worked for Leif. He had also promised Krisalyn that he'd be at the club that night.

Meanwhile, Rome was finishing up a light dinner alone. He had plans for the evening though.
First a short nap before heading out to the Americana. He usually spent his nights there, either looking for tourists needing a sightseeing guide or--hopefully--finding a lady whose company he could enjoy.
The club was busy as usual, but Rome noticed a woman in a red hat across the room. She kept glancing his way when she thought he wasn't watching. He casually made his way over to her.
Rome joined the lady's table and introduced himself. She smiled and offered her name without hesitation. Rome sensed an invitation. ... So, he asked her to dance.
@lanlyn Yeah I wanted to try out the toddlers and vamps in TS4, but couldn't get it to work long enough to have the vamp baby, bugs so bad they're game breaking. I hadn't planned on going back to 4 for long, love 3 much more. Just felt like trying out the new stuff because it looked interesting, and I like what they did with toddlers.

@Maera I am sorry that you have had so much trouble trying to play toddlers and vampires I want to try TS4 one day but it will have to wait for a bit. I will probably play in the distant future when the game has settled down and is easy to play. For now, I am happy to try new EPs in TS3 which I own but have never installed.
@Junceda I really should try TS2 again. It's been years since I played it! I still have many discs stashed away so I can stay away from Origin for a bit longer

@lanlyn Thank you I believe the pattern I used was one of CravenLestat's For me, the best part of the game is family and extended family, so seeing them around town and keeping up with what they are doing makes me very happy Josh makes a great looking elder and I am always surprised when he dies in my saves. He left some good looking descendants, though, so he is not truly gone
I am so sorry about your water situation! I hope it can be fixed quickly and that the expense is not too great. I have lots that needs to be done on my old house - I have the money but I am dropping the ball a little with organizing it because I shut down a little when I am stressed and my son has issues with anxiety and depression that drain the life out of me.

@Mikezumi I got TS2 UC on 2014 and out of downloading it you can play off-origin-line as with the real discs. I hadn´t all TS2 content by its time so for me it was great getting the UC and having every thing, it´s a great game, IMO TS3 is better (graphics, CASt, Open World, CAW and so on...) but it has great features and details and it is great being able to play it from time to time...
I can play at last TS2 TS3 and TS4 So great that toddlers are here!!!
This update took two days and about 200 screenshots to get what I needed. I most likely will not post anything tomorrow as I'm getting 2 wisdom teeth and one back tooth that a Wintergreen lifesaver killed (crown popped off) pulled tomorrow, they will be putting me under and I'm very paranoid about that.... I've been seriously stressing about it for about a month!

Connor, Jared their parents and their cousins Brandon and Nate were settling in on their rented houseboat where they were vacationing on Isla Paradiso for a month.
Napping and drinking in the hot tub were prime activities...
Connor took to skinny dipping...
Nate being the biggest geek went right to the computer..
Down the road Julia was staying in a little cottage with her overbearing mother, she spied 4 guys in the water splashing around like kids.
She decided to go down to the water and check them out...one or two looked promising..one of the cute redheads came over and started chatting with her. he said his name was Connor.
He seemed nice enough and they had a lot on common..
He asked her out on a date for the next night, she said she would be happy to go.
Date night went very well...
They decided on a walk over to the Cemetery as Julia told Connor she loved Cemeteries, she loved reading the headstones.
He asked Julia if she would like to meet his family, she said she would love to..
Jared was the only one home he had a nice chat with her. Actually it looks like Nate was home too he must have been busy.
Connor had disappeared and Julia was getting tired so she took off.
More dates followed, Connor and Julia were inseparable the whole month..
Connor asked her to be his girlfriend a few days before they all went home.
The group decided to go down to the beach for one last sunny day of fun as they were going home the next day. Everyone played in the sand..
Julia got a horrible sunburn as did Brandon and Jared.
Everyone got ready to leave the next morning, Julia lived in Sunset too with her mother, and Connor was excited to find out she was going to be applying at the same building he worked at for Journalism, they might get to work together.
Connor started acting funny about a month after they all got back, Julia had indeed gotten a job in Journalism and due to her genius trait wound up being Connor's boss. This didn't seem to sit well with Connor as he was in his mid 30's and his 21 year old fresh out of college girlfriend was his boss.
They found a private spot to discuss the issues...
Julia told Connor he was being silly, he really didn't want to hear that...
The matter was pretty much swept under the rug. Things went back to semi normal.
Julia was working long hours, she and Connor started drifting apart...Connor was becoming better friends with Emma, who he had met at the diner one day.
Emma was a very forward girl....
Connor was so starved for attention he didn't resist...
They started seeing each other on the sly, and went everywhere together as long as Connor knew Julia was at work.
One day about a month into the affair Connor forgot Julia said she would be home early and would meet him at the diner...He met Emma there by mistake.
She wasn't surprised as Connor had been acting strange, but she wasn't happy about it either...
Emma felt her wrath too!
I have Never ever seen this before when Julia was leaving Connor started crying on Emma's shoulder! guess he will miss her..a little.
Julia headed right over to the nearest bar and ordered a round...the bartender has a warped sense of humor as they are Romantic drinks!
The last person she wanted to see was any relative of Connors but Jared saw she was sad and tried his best to cheer her up, he dragged her onto the dance floor.
She told him everything...
They went down to the beach for a few more drinks.
They to her surprise were getting along great! She had remembered Jared as kind of a j*erk.
Connor was a major pain the next day at work.
Gonna leave it here or it will be WAY too long, will try to post the rest tomorrow, after my teeth yanking.
Just a note about Emma and Connor smooching in the back of the diner and Julia catching them. That really happened in my game when I had only been playing a few weeks, Connor was my favorite and I had just made a Simself who was of course dating him. She went in back of the diner by herself and I saw it said accuse of cheating. I had never seen that before but Connor had been smooching with Emma (of all Sims!!), I was peeved beyond words and for 3 seconds I seriously thought about deleting Connor. My SS dumped him and stayed single for a long time.
I adore Julia, she is one of my oldest Sims and is named after my favorite grandmother, who I think would have gotten a kick out of my Sims, if she were still alive.
@Maera That's terrible! You finally get toddlers in Sims 4, then can't play them. Oh well, you still have Sims 3.
@king_of_simcity7 It's still early days for Ashley and Amber. Maybe they can give each other some "loving" support! Hope so. Or maybe they'll find other romantic interests.
@Mikezumi We moved into this house in 2001, but the home was built in 1981. So yah, time for things to start breaking down! Dishwasher, stove top, furnace, roof, gutters, a new driveway. And so it goes, every year something new and exciting! The joy of home ownership. But at least we do own the place now, no mortgage payments. So when these expenses come up, we're prepared. It's a huge house though, especially for just two people. Sometimes cleaning and maintenance really wears us out!

...Bunter cried on a girl's shoulder a couple of times when Ruth broke up with him. Both sympathy cries were his own idea. And one of the girls was the vampire Christine Meaney, who Bunter was supposed to be fighting against at the time.
Well I was bored the other day and I killed my dad sim (I didn't save it I just did for fun.. wow that sounds demonic XD) he drowned at the local pool and the family weren't affected by it, they just went on with their lives like nothing happened XD

That's really how Donna felt.
And honestly, if the situation had been with me and my husband, I might have done the same. I couldn't bear having him go on with life never remembering me...even though knowing would be painful for him. It's just an awful situation and I had to hold back the tears once again while writing that dialogue.

@emorrill That was an intense update! So hard for Donna not to try to make Sam remember her but it would almost have been a blessing for Sam not to remember
I hope Al survives! Now that Sam remembers and once he gets over his emotional distress, he will need Al to fill more gaps in his memory or he won't be able to move forward with his own life

Wowza! You guys move quick. I've peeked through and seen some lovely pictures and updates which I absolutely love seeing.
Fabulous updates all around.
I've ordered my new gaming rig (still need to order my monitor, keyboard, mouse, desk, and monitor arm). And I've decided to try my hand at YouTube once the new rig comes, so I've been looking into all things YouTube and trying to figure out what I can do on there. With YouTube comes a whole other host of equipment- recording and editing software, microphone, another monitor, another desk and a desk chair.
Why I've decided to delve into this, I don't know? I must be crazy in love with the Sims. I sure do have an expensive hobby!
@MorticiaBlack7 Strange, but funny phone call. Ah, once you said spice festival realized you were talking Sims4 game. I don't play it. We can have any kind of festival in Sims3 that our imaginations make up and in any world too. Love it.

And then... bonded the only way they knew how, separately but in the same room.
The next day, he went over to the Ursines. He desperately wanted to see his niece Shara. After moving to Appaloosa Plains, he hadn't seen her in years.
Later, he decided to make Shara some dinner. Mac and cheese!
Wanting some time along without her mother around, he invited Shara out to the bistro the next evening.
Right after dinner, Shara immediately ran home. Connor was not ready to turn in for the night, so he followed her home.
Where they promptly spent time together but alone. Just like a Frio!
The last day before he had to leave, Connor went over to see Shara again. He had visited with Jared once more, but he was always working, it seemed. Plus Shara is more interesting. They decided on some chess, which occupied his niece for a little while until she ran off to play with one of her friends.

@Mikezumi I got TS2 UC on 2014 and out of downloading it you can play off-origin-line as with the real discs. I hadn´t all TS2 content by its time so for me it was great getting the UC and having every thing, it´s a great game, IMO TS3 is better (graphics, CASt, Open World, CAW and so on...) but it has great features and details and it is great being able to play it from time to time...
I can play at last TS2 TS3 and TS4 So great that toddlers are here!!!
Also I wouldn't feel to sorry for Anna as she will always find a new guy

This update took two days and about 200 screenshots to get what I needed. I most likely will not post anything tomorrow as I'm getting 2 wisdom teeth and one back tooth that a Wintergreen lifesaver killed (crown popped off) pulled tomorrow, they will be putting me under and I'm very paranoid about that....
Recap of what happened a few days ago...
Jared saw her from a distance...*was it really her, it had been almost 3 years*
Yes, it was her, it was Julia!
He asked why she was back in town, she said her mother had died so she could come back without any trouble.
It was almost as if no time had passed....

3 Years ago, Summer Vacation

Connor, Jared their parents and their cousins Brandon and Nate were settling in on their rented houseboat where they were vacationing on Isla Paradiso for a month.
Napping and drinking in the hot tub were prime activities...
Connor took to skinny dipping...
Nate being the biggest geek went right to the computer..
Down the road Julia was staying in a little cottage with her overbearing mother, she spied 4 guys in the water splashing around like kids.
She decided to go down to the water and check them out...one or two looked promising..one of the cute redheads came over and started chatting with her. he said his name was Connor.
He seemed nice enough and they had a lot on common..
He asked her out on a date for the next night, she said she would be happy to go.
Date night went very well...
They decided on a walk over to the Cemetery as Julia told Connor she loved Cemeteries, she loved reading the headstones.
He asked Julia if she would like to meet his family, she said she would love to..
Jared was the only one home he had a nice chat with her. Actually it looks like Nate was home too he must have been busy.
Connor had disappeared and Julia was getting tired so she took off.
More dates followed, Connor and Julia were inseparable the whole month..
Connor asked her to be his girlfriend a few days before they all went home.
The group decided to go down to the beach for one last sunny day of fun as they were going home the next day. Everyone played in the sand..
Julia got a horrible sunburn as did Brandon and Jared.
Everyone got ready to leave the next morning, Julia lived in Sunset too with her mother, and Connor was excited to find out she was going to be applying at the same building he worked at for Journalism, they might get to work together.
Connor started acting funny about a month after they all got back, Julia had indeed gotten a job in Journalism and due to her genius trait wound up being Connor's boss. This didn't seem to sit well with Connor as he was in his mid 30's and his 21 year old fresh out of college girlfriend was his boss.
They found a private spot to discuss the issues...
Julia told Connor he was being silly, he really didn't want to hear that...
The matter was pretty much swept under the rug. Things went back to semi normal.
Julia was working long hours, she and Connor started drifting apart...Connor was becoming better friends with Emma, who he had met at the diner one day.
Emma was a very forward girl....
Connor was so starved for attention he didn't resist...
They started seeing each other on the sly, and went everywhere together as long as Connor knew Julia was at work.
One day about a month into the affair Connor forgot Julia said she would be home early and would meet him at the diner...He met Emma there by mistake.
She wasn't surprised as Connor had been acting strange, but she wasn't happy about it either...
Emma felt her wrath too!
I have Never ever seen this before when Julia was leaving Connor started crying on Emma's shoulder! guess he will miss her..a little.
Julia headed right over to the nearest bar and ordered a round...the bartender has a warped sense of humor as they are Romantic drinks!
The last person she wanted to see was any relative of Connors but Jared saw she was sad and tried his best to cheer her up, he dragged her onto the dance floor.
She told him everything...
They went down to the beach for a few more drinks.
They to her surprise were getting along great! She had remembered Jared as kind of a j*erk.
Connor was a major pain the next day at work.
Gonna leave it here or it will be WAY too long, will try to post the rest tomorrow, after my teeth yanking.
Just a note about Emma and Connor smooching in the back of the diner and Julia catching them. That really happened in my game when I had only been playing a few weeks, Connor was my favorite and I had just made a Simself who was of course dating him. She went in back of the diner by herself and I saw it said accuse of cheating. I had never seen that before but Connor had been smooching with Emma (of all Sims!!), I was peeved beyond words and for 3 seconds I seriously thought about deleting Connor. My SS dumped him and stayed single for a long time.
I adore Julia, she is one of my oldest Sims and is named after my favorite grandmother, who I think would have gotten a kick out of my Sims, if she were still alive.

@Mikezumi We moved into this house in 2001, but the home was built in 1981. So yah, time for things to start breaking down! Dishwasher, stove top, furnace, roof, gutters, a new driveway. And so it goes, every year something new and exciting! The joy of home ownership. But at least we do own the place now, no mortgage payments. So when these expenses come up, we're prepared. It's a huge house though, especially for just two people. Sometimes cleaning and maintenance really wears us out!

...Bunter cried on a girl's shoulder a couple of times when Ruth broke up with him. Both sympathy cries were his own idea. And one of the girls was the vampire Christine Meaney, who Bunter was supposed to be fighting against at the time.

That's really how Donna felt.
And honestly, if the situation had been with me and my husband, I might have done the same. I couldn't bear having him go on with life never remembering me...even though knowing would be painful for him. It's just an awful situation and I had to hold back the tears once again while writing that dialogue.

Fabulous updates all around.
I've ordered my new gaming rig (still need to order my monitor, keyboard, mouse, desk, and monitor arm). And I've decided to try my hand at YouTube once the new rig comes, so I've been looking into all things YouTube and trying to figure out what I can do on there. With YouTube comes a whole other host of equipment- recording and editing software, microphone, another monitor, another desk and a desk chair.
Why I've decided to delve into this, I don't know?

@Charlottesmom I enjoyed the update. Very good backstory with Conner, Julia and Jared. Very surprised that Conner was that insecure about his job and cheated on Julia!! I hope things go well at the dentists. Being knocked out is the only way to have dental work as far as I am concerned.
@SophieSims92 I presume this is Sims4 you are talking about? In my Sims3 saves even my sims mourn sims that die that they've met and were friends with.
The Cowboy and the Mermaid
After getting a good night's rest after his trip in, Connor stopped by to surprise his brother. They talked and caught up.
And then... bonded the only way they knew how, separately but in the same room.
The next day, he went over to the Ursines. He desperately wanted to see his niece Shara. After moving to Appaloosa Plains, he hadn't seen her in years.
Later, he decided to make Shara some dinner. Mac and cheese!
Wanting some time along without her mother around, he invited Shara out to the bistro the next evening.
Right after dinner, Shara immediately ran home. Connor was not ready to turn in for the night, so he followed her home.
Where they promptly spent time together but alone. Just like a Frio!
The last day before he had to leave, Connor went over to see Shara again. He had visited with Jared once more, but he was always working, it seemed. Plus Shara is more interesting. They decided on some chess, which occupied his niece for a little while until she ran off to play with one of her friends.
And of course, it's always good to be home again!
