So for my existing pure aliens can they even be turned into a vampire? And if so than are they no longer aliens and lose those powers and features forever?
IIRC Aliens can't become Vampires, unless they've changed it.

Meh, yeah no. 5 little lots is barely even a start. Midnight Hollow was one of my favorites from TS3 and it had plenty of character and charm. 5 lots would make a nice neighborhood inside the spooky town. All that character and charm you want you lose as soon as you want to do something other than hang out at home.
I disagree, since you can just go between towns in the same time you go between neighborhoods in TS4. Forgotten Hollow is, well, a hollow, most likely hidden someplace near that grassy world

You could also use the blank world and build a bunch of victorian supernatural-oriented neighborhoods
Well except you can't. I mean you can build a bunch of supernatural Victorian houses in that eternally bright and sunny paradise, but you lose the spooky charm.
If you had a whole spooky town you could add spooky gyms and spooky restaurants and spooky nightclubs and everything else and maintain that same vibe that Forgotten Hollow already has. With it being just a little 5 lot hood as soon as you leave home you leave that all behind.

Agree. I would have loved to see either a much larger neighborhood or a full world with 5 neighborhoods. I know... "it's a Game Pack" .. that fact doesn't stop me wanting more.

It's an understandable want, though I suspect (and hope, for the sake of folks like you) that modders will help with that want.

I know the neighborhood is only 5 lots but its much bigger than i thought it would be and plus there is only 2 houses that are being used.

Hmm *nods* only natural to want more of what you're really in to and less of what you are not! lol

The more new worlds come out with new attributes, like longer darkness, fog etc. the more I see the possibility to some day change that manually for each new world. Or maybe new packs with other, larger worlds with the same attributes for vampires will be released? Which would be great. But for now I really love the look of Forgotten Hollow! It's cute, compact and has actually everything someone needs. 2 already made houses 2 more left to build on. So one could either add more houses or a couple of lots like a graveyard, or club etc. Whatever wants to play with.
Think about The Vampire Diaries. Everything always played in the town called Mystic Falls. It's kind of like this. Everybody knows everyone and then there are vampires!

Yeah, I watched the stream. I liked the fact that the little tiny starter house was on a large enough lot that as your vamp accrues simoleons you can build and extend w.e. rather than have to move.

I doubt there is much mod'ers can do without a CaW tool. I haven't seen any mods changing basic styles or backdrops of the existing worlds.
Now, don't get me wrong, I think the rest of the pack looks great. Its the first pack they have released since the base game I am actually really looking forward to. Just disappointing how small Forgotten Hollow is. After Magnolia Promenade I thought they would have learned not to release such small little hoods.
I would have even preferred an empty but larger Forgotten Hollow done the way Newcrest was than a small one with pre-mades on it.

I was a little worried that all of the houses were going to be used and tbh I didn't want to get rid of any of the npc. So that does make me happy that I have a few more lots to do whatever i want with.

I guess I'm thinking more long term. For example If a were-pack was ever released; do we get yet another tiny neighborhood for that? What about the Fae? Or witches? lol how many 'specialist neighborhoods' are we going to end up with?
It just comes back to my personal preference for an open world I guess. Can't really change that so neighborhoods it is.

I don't know if it's still being worked on though, or just how extensive of a change it was. I think it was released a while back.
The "longer night hours" effect should, in theory, be fairly easy to apply to other neighborhoods once it's understood how the code works. Re-texturing a whole neighborhood would, I imagine, be busywork more than anything.

The whole Vampire pack is really just an elaborate ruse to see how difficult I can make Luth's life. I am going to win this bet!!!!

If you belly crawl across the floor you'll be less visible.
Can I just throw something out there for the Gurus? If you make werewolves look like the statues in this pack, then they will automatically be the best werewolves in the series. Even if we have multiple forms, ones like Sims 3, ones like the statues, or a full on wolf form, having a form that looks like those statues would be amazing.

OK, say you have a kid
say you become a vampire but your kid doesn't
your kid has a girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband
under some circumstances, their bf/gf/wife/husband becomes a Vampire
your kid still doesn't
You and them will inevitably outlive the kid
and you could actually take your kid's mate for yourself
I just realised!
I'm so slow.
