According to Origin 3770 hours. I know that is wrong because I checked my hours yesterday with the hours from the day before and it said I had played 11 hours yesterday and I know for sure I only played 4 hours. I guess it considers you are playing if the game is loaded.
I've played 1,124 hours and counting (I'm on it right now). It was added to my library on Sept. 2, 2014, day of launch and also my birthday! It was a present, obviously
I've resisted for 46 hours hoping GTW could make the game slightly interesting. Disinstalled in May. Reinstalled the sims 3, that I never tied to Origin before. I had to tye it to download Generations and Isla Paradise. I have played something like 219 hours in two months.
I'm not sure. I got an in game notice the last time that I played that I'd just finished 100 hours. But the counter said 160 hours. So something wasn't right.

There was a bug (of course) when the game was released (maybe still is) where saved games would be lost if you used "saved as" or the other save option, I don't remember. I thought that it might have to do with this bug coming into play where I lost many hours of gameplay.
It says 1,065 hours... I'm honestly surprised it's not more? I spend my school breaks doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and playing the sims, because I am a responsible, well rounded person. I think it may be inaccurate.

24 I just reinstalled the game and started playing, even though I've had it for 1.5 years. So... yeah. 24 hours. Hoping i can get up to 2000 like some of you awesome simmers in here!
