Yes that happened to me earlier too. Like can't keep up! Lol.
Please do, always willing to help if I can :) I just wish I'd found mods sooner but then I guess I wouldn't have a Sims 3 game that feels like a new game with all the awesome mods active! ;)
Mwuhahahaha corrupting one Simmer at a time with mods. I feel like I've created quite a few mod/CC addicts since joining forums. Sorry Simmers. XD Once you go modded, hard to go back.

Yes you and @KrayzieStryker were the main reason I learnt how. Still learning but basics are there :) thank you for giving me a sense of 'new' when the actual new game didn't cater to me! Lol.

@twinsister27 that is very funny :)

Found this on the internet. This is what we sound like to Non-Simmers and our Sims when they use the Browse Web interaction and find THIS SITE. THEY%20KNOW_zpsgqqxpvom.jpg

Another pack geared toward more socialising and entertaining.
    How very surprising!
    (not)

I see this more of a family pack than anything. It's essentially a home theater pack. I watch movies with my family more than anyone else. Did you see the cute cas for kids? They also have a couple of children friendly movies available.

I do believe they made this with family players in mind.

I hope you're right. I guess we'll get all the info next week. :)

Huh so another repeat theme pack again. Well I hope they reinvent it with some new things at least. I actually did make a movie theatre lot with the cinema mod already. I should post pictures of it. So I admit for me at least, the pack is pointless, but I hope others enjoy it.

Ok, not sure if it is because my dad used to work on TVs or just from being an old movie buff, but that movie screen really bothers my eyes. It looks like Sims are watching movies on a Rubix cube. It is so blocky. I do think the popcorn is cool. At least eating popcorn on threads can be more relevant now.

This movie screen I googled is awesome.
    920x920.jpg

Not as big as that, but I have something quite similar in my house. We have a large screen, a projector and a computer which we watch movies on :)

Any way back to Movie Stuff. I think it looks ok, but feel that really it would have been better if it had been a part of Get Together or another expansion pack :)

I also think maybe they could have added proper cinema venues instead of just popcorn and movie screens

The thing is, Sims 4 Sims can already watch a movie together with multitasking, but they can ALSO already have a big TV-the ability to SCALE ITEMS. However big you want. No, you are NOT paying ten bucks for a big TV, some movies, and popcorn. You're paying ten bucks for popcorn. Plus a Child movie, plus a Teen movie, plus a Young Adult+ Movie that Teens will wanna watch.
"Key to any screening is an awesome screen, and the new Movie Projector Screen fits the bill. This new object is much more than an oversized TV – it’s loaded with ten original films to watch, from action and comedy to romance and horror. There are even two family movies in case your Sim wants to catch a flick with their kids. Each tells a unique tale, and you’ll be captivated alongside your Sims as they gasp in shock, cry over tragedy, and share a good laugh at the perfect punchline.

But we didn’t just want to give you the tools to watch movies (and eat popcorn). The Sims 4 Movie Hangout Stuff also includes new furniture and decorative accents to add a touch of color to your awesome hangout. You can create a great indoor movie lounge, or take it outside and create a totally awesome bohemian atmosphere to watch movies in the breeze. "

Sounds like more than just an over-sized tv to me.
Wait a second? The movies will only be available on that one TV? That's dumb.

They said you could watch movies on any TV, but I think that comes with all 10? At least that's what I got from it.
Just some random Simmer you probably don't even follow on the gallery! Gallery name's the same as my username! Did I just rhyme there?

They did indeed clarify that the 10 movies and all the TV options will be available on all the TV/movie screens. I like the bit about how there are different animations for watching the different movies! And 2 of the 10 movies are kids' movies. Also for families: kids can eat the popcorn, teen+ can make it. (Not sure I'd have trusted my kids age 10-ish to measure the popcorn right etc., so that seems fair to me. As teens now, they are good kids who will make stovetop popcorn for their mommy.)

Also hi, all :) I've been playing lots of teens in my game, with stories mostly about siblings and peer groups. When I get time to play again, I'll try to remember to post here when it feels "familyish". And not sad familyish, like it was most recently when the two girls' mom pretty much abandoned them.

    Aloha all.

I have been away from TS4 for about 6 months and indulged in other games (GTA V, Witcher 3, etc) These are well spent 6 months

So today i decided to play back TS4 in my PC and voila~ i was greeted with disappearing household issue.

Sigh i am so sad with such a welcome back by TS4. Looks like i have to stay away from TS4 for awhile now until they resolve it...

I am sorry you had that experience to sadden you when you tried to come back to TS4. It does seem a bit of a slap in the face and considering that slaps are not PC in Sims4 that is even more sad. :(

I'm not making any comment on the new SP except to say 'no comment'. :)

I would like to know from my fellow cc addicts....where do I find the skin that I finally dl'd. It is the one for Sims3. It was a package file so I put it in my package folder, but not sure where to find it in game. I've never used any of the eyes, skin mouths etc, but thought that skin was awesome when y'all showed it so I dl'd it. Do I need to take my sim back to CAS? Sheesh, I will be looking for eyes and mouths next....lol.

Sorry you got the culling @klch87 and welcome back to the thread @luthienrising.

So from the patch notes since a couple other ones are probably deviant related. This one is more family related fix, "Sims can now chat with children playing on a jungle gym without route failing."

It does seem to be a big concern that due to culling, a lot more players are disappointed again.

As I said before, there was a surge of popularity after GT came out but the new relationship culling has actually killed the game for some and is leaving some Simmers in doubt about future content as well :disappointed:

Hi everyone! I've been busy with school since mid-terms are next week and I'm literally crying inside. Taking Calculus was a bad idea. At least I can make my sim kids experts, lol.

I just read about the new stuff pack. I must have been really tired when I first read it yesterday, because at first it sounded nice. Then I pulled it together and was just like, "Plum!!! Why?!" This, as usual, feels unnecessary. We already have so much entertainment stuff! If I want to play a crazy, party-obsessed young adult, I know just what game to load. And that makes me so sad. Yes, there are people who do that and honestly, sometimes I'm like that too. And yes, the game is not that old, so I should keep waiting, etc. But that's my point. So many stuff packs, game packs and two expansions. Theme? Relaxing, partying, having a grand old time. And while that is an aspect of The Sims, I feel like EA has only scratched the surface and are not bothering to go any further. Sims 4 looks cool. It's bright, beautiful, and my family (even my kids) look fabulous...but that's it. I'm left wondering and worrying about my favorite video game series. But there's still hope. :)

Sorry for writing so much! I tend to do that a lot, plus I needed to rant, lol. Enjoy your Friday everybody!!! Woo!

My mom got diagnosed with diabetes today, so I've been sad. I hope everyone has a nice weekend. I haven't done too much Simming but I did remake my cinema lot since I don't know what happened with the old Stepford save that had it. With the patch, I'm going to have to put in those movie posters. Thank goodness for taking family pictures because I lose track of my builds for the Sims 4 very easily.

@Scobre - Sorry about your mom. I don't know much about diabetes, but I hope she'll be alright.

Don't be sad Scobre :) I'm a diabetic, it's not that bad. Just a bit of a lifestyle change and stuff.

Edit - It seems overwhelming in the beginning, but once you understand dietary and medication requirements, it's not bad at all. Your Mum will be okay.

My husband developed type 2 diabetes 20 years ago. It was a shock, but it shouldn't have been, since his Mom was one too. His Mom sort of ignored it and didn't get it under control. But, my hubby did pay attention and keeps it pretty well controlled. I'm sure your Mom will too, once the shock is gone. My thoughts are with you and your family!

So I bought GT, installed it. And turned off my PC.

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt??

Somehow I lost the interest in playing SIMS4.

I'm secretly waiting for an announcement on toddlers being in the game, only to read here that there's a movie stuff pack.

Oh well, back to watching TV and leaving my PC to rot.

Thank you everyone. It is rough news even though she has been pre diabetic for a bit. I got her to join the gym. Most of the time she skips meals, so just getting her to eat can be a challenge especially when I can't walk. Thankfully I have had two days in a row walking now. I admit that I am worried still. I am trying to cook healthy for her and sites like yummly help. The doctor said to watch the drink calories with sugars like juice. Drink tea instead and water.

@Scobre I'm sorry to hear that your mum was diagnosed with Diabetes :/ I can assure you though that it is nothing to worry about. Diabetes can be very dangerous if it isn't controlled but it is manageable. It just means that your mum is going to have to go more careful :)
I know this because last year my Dad was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and though it was a little rough at first, he's now on medication and his sugar levels are more under control than they have been in a very long time :)

I think your Mum will be fine. If she has any questions then make sure she asks the doctor, as there's a lot to know about Diabetes. In a way I'm glad she's found out as undetected Diabetes can be very dangerous so it's better she knows :)

I hope she will be ok and I hope you and your family are ok as well :)

    Matthew.

She mustn't skip meals. It's one of the worst things you can do, it will send her BSL haywire. For diabetics, small, frequent meals are better. My Doc had a go at me two days ago when I went for my yearly diabetic review. He scolded me for falling back into only eating two or three times a day and said I must eat six very little meals over the course of the day ( It's very hot summer here right now, and I have trouble finding an appetite in the heat, but I have to try )

No juice, the amount of sugar in most of it is outrageous. Water, tea and coffee are okay - with sweeteners if required, not sugar. No fizzy drink unless it's diet.
Diabetics are also supposed to watch their fat intake, because we are at higher risk of heart disease than others. Also, we heal slower, so take care that your Mum wears shoes when going outside. I've always been a notorious barefoot hippie but I'm not allowed to go barefoot outside now I'm getting older.

Don't be worried :) I know it's easy for me to say, and you'll probably continue to do so, but don't panic, she'll be just fine once she gets into a routine. It won't take long.
I wish you guys all the best.

Edit- It runs in my family too. My Dad is a diabetic, his mother was a diabetic and my sister and I am too. We've got tons of experience ! :D

@Scobre I'm sorry to hear about your Mother and my thoughts are with your family. Thankfully, there are so many options these days to control diabetes. I hope that she does well. And love to you.
