I really hate the in app purchase games. While some of them are decent and can be played without purchasing anything, many have really gotten out of hand. I don't mind in app purchases that enhance a game, but not ones that have to be bought in order to continue. And I don't mind trial games that you can upgrade to a full version by in app purchase. But I much rather pay up front than be nickeled and dimed!

At least in real games the DLC you spent money on is still there to use as often as you want it.

Good points. I never thought about restarting a Farmville farm when I played that. And while I might fault EA for a lot of things, at least their added content actually adds quite a bit to the game every time a player decides to buy some.

Did you buy your copy of the late night expansion on origin? If you did you got the casino free because of it, or it could just be a glitch in your favour. And as @me1620 said check the up the ante compilation, it should come up free now that you got the casino (if the casino went into your purchase history properly).
I did get LN from Origin, so I guess that's why I got casino for free. But it's not showing up in my purchase history and ante compilation isn't free. I remember having trouble a few months ago with another set I was supposed to get free. The code wouldn't work. I chatted with an EA rep for awhile and didn't get anywhere. He wanted me to uninstall and reinstall my expansion pack (I think it was IP?). I kept telling him it had nothing to do with uninstalling the game, it was a store item that I wanted to show on my purchases!

a few times yes.. 1 time it was BB (as it disapear when they added the complete BB... and I needed to reinstal) and do to a glich in the store they added the gothic sets atleast 3 times / given me the points to buy it again..... same thing have been done with a few items.... simply becouse I could aces them in my purcages history BUT that didn't work (not even for them) it keept closing down before I found the item, and the site demanded I buy it before I downloded it from it's page in the store.... glad they got that bug fixed for me.

here in Denmark the phone chat is the best..... the chat on computer is often outsorsed and they have no idea what they talking about (most of the time they also ask me to try and reinstal or start talking about spor... or say they don't give in game help.... when I needed help with the store)

This question is for those of you who use the Now and Then Century Manor. Do you ever place the "Now" manor, or do you always use "Then"?

I wanted to use the decayed manor as a fixer-upper project, restore it to its former glory. However, there are objects I can't move and holes in the roof and so on that were too fiddly. I think I would be better off to use the good condition manor and make it look messed up (aged) without some of the MOO cheats that they must have used on it.
One thing that I did was to use the sliding bookcases in two spots to make secret passages. One spot is in the dining room, where there's a closet with a ladder. The other is in the bedroom next to the second floor of the library. I put the bookcase facing the bedroom side. (I haven't played that one for awhile, so I'm vague on the details.)

So far I've updated about 60% of the house. I keep making tweaks to what the challenge rules should be so its harder to finish.

@Nonsequitorian I know six years. You can thank my brother for bringing the sims (1) home. As to your manor question, I recently realized I did not have it installed. It was quite disappointing as the roof pieces make squares look attractive. I do look forward to the rehab idea, and playing it as a community lot haunted house.

It was my intention, when visiting your wishlist, to gift you a world or a venue. When I didn't find either...well, you saw what happened.
