Your Andalucia House is very nice! @DippyDesigns I have already posted about it on your showcase thread.
Southern Start is a great home! @celdys0n Very nice exterior of it! Simmers will enjoy furnishing it to their sims needs and tastes whilst they are living there.
Your two starter homes are very nice! @MrHotter It is great that you made a simversion of the Big Bang Theory home! It is a very nice simform version of it! It looks great how you have placed the seats for sims to enjoy sitting on and having a chat or a read of a book, and the way you have placed the kitchen counters looks great. The Van Gogh home is very nice! Great layout of the interior of the home. The roofing and the texture of the exterior looks very nice. The sunflowers outside the front of the home are nice sunny touches there. It is great that you have an easel in the home for sims to enjoy painting on.
They are great starter homes!
What great starters added! I am in the process of re-making my foster home family from TS3 with their oprhanage home, so if I manage to get the home done under the required price I will post it here.
@asphyxiateddoll - I've now added your med starter and the 2br desert starter to my Oasis Springs hood, they look great. @KraftySim - great little homes, I especially like the Crick Cabana Remodel - the fence partition for the bedroom is a nice idea. @Ro0oAr5 - you have a lot of nice homes in your studio, and some great room uploads too! @DippyDesigns - I love the Andalucia, it's very cute and unusual with its angled patios. You have some great room uploads too! @celdysOn - for some reason, I can't find you or your starter in the gallery, but it looks great from the pics. @MrHotter - great homes! I especially love the Van Gogh starter, the way you did the front with the fenced-in trash bin, and the brickwork living/kitchen area looks fab.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their lovely starters
I've got another one for you, I tried to see how big I could go on the 20k budget...this one is 20k on the nose lol!
Eastleigh Family Sized Starter - $20,000 (Yes, they'll be broke...but happy!)
I decided to do another starter as I am trying to work out how to reduce the build costs. This time I challenged myself to do a real family sized starter so this one has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with room to expand and landscape the garden.
Oh, that is awesome, Dippy! I am always on the lookout for family starters as I like to add lots of families to my hoods. I think probably about 90% of starters I have seen only have one bedroom sadly.
When I made my orphanage family today, I discovered that 1 adult and 7 kids get $34,000 starting fund. So that gave me a little extra to work with when I built their home. It's not brilliant, but it's got 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms!

There are 5 girls and 2 boys in my orphanage, hence the large girls room. I made the nicest room for the adult, she is a mean sim who sees the little orphans as her personal slaves. So she has all the best stuff and the tv. But the kids haven't done too badly.

I did not know that a larger family gave more starting funds. That's good to know. I start all the families I want to play with a single person in a <$20k house and then start marrying them off when they've earned some money so they can start having kids.
I think most people consider a home a 'starter' if it's under $20k.
Eastleight Family Sized starter is a very nice home! @DippyDesigns I have posted about it on your builds showcase thread. It is great that you have designed it for a family to enjoy living there, and have three bedrooms in the home.
Your starter home for your Orphanage family household is very nice ! @elanorbreton Very nice exterior design of the home! It looks great how you have done the roofing, and the placement of the windows looks great! Great textures that you have used for the exterior. It loks nice how you have done the middle section of the exterior of the home. The flowers look pretty on the front edges of the home. Very nice layout and furnishing of the interior of the home! It looks great how you have placed the beds in the bedrooms. It is great how you have designed a starter home where eight people can live! Very nice kitchen and dining room. It is a nice how you have set up the dining table with many sests there so as all the sims can eat their meal together at the same time. The clothes shelf is a nice home touch in the adult bedroom. She will enjoy watching tv whilst laying in bed. She doesn't sound a very caring person though!
It is a very nice home
So many great starters, amazing how so much can be done with such a tight budget. Here is my latest starter, Modernesque Studio. It is a 1 bed /1 bath with an open concept layout, including an outdoor living area.

Wow, I love the way you placed those counters in the corner of the kitchen! That's something I'd never be able to come up with :D
Your Modernesque Starter home is great! @Chris2fer03 The exterior design shape of it is great! Very nice layout of the interior and it looks very nice how you have the living room area outdoors. I have posted about your nice starter home on your showcase thread.
I'm really bad at making smaller houses, but this one turned out okay. It costs exactly $19,999 when placed on the lot Pebble Burrow. It's completely unfurnished and I'm using it for my $1 challenge, but it's available on the gallery.

I tried to make the place look kind of worn out by making the floorboards look ripped up and replaced.
Your Stone Wall Ave home is great @Datkid The stone wall texture of the exterior and the roofing looks great! The design of the exterior looks great. The plants and rocks feature at the front of the build gives a great look to the build. It looks great how you have done the back deck with the pool of water. Sims will enjoy moving in to the home and starting their sims lives there.
It is a great starter home
