So, I've been absent because I was working on my lot for the Summer Submission thread. Well, I've finished the house and thought I'd share it with you guys here. I'm proud of how this one turned out. No CC or CAP and only two store items were used! So, here's the Glass House - Ocean View.
I thought that I would post my newest upload, as for this particular one I was very happy with my attention to detail. I hope you peeps enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
"A few days ago I really fancied trying to recreate a British Wartime home. Complete with old fashioned 1940's styled furniture. It was really fun trying to create things such as the old fashioned radio I made out of a regular counter and a dukebox. I wanted things to have a realistic 40's Homefront feel. I have even attempted to add an Anderson shelter right at the back. A perfect house for any Simmer wanting to do a 1940's roleplay game! I really enjoyed making it! I hope you enjoy playing it."
Good evening everyone. I just wanted to post my latest creation with the community.
Cobblestone Cottage. A 2 bedroom, 1 bath lot fit for a witch. Fully furnished totaling at §102,049. ** Store Content Only**
Hi there! My latest is a Big Park with lots to do. There's a wedding arch and buffet, greenhouse, lake for fishing, playground, barbecue area, stage for performers, pool, and indoor/outdoor gym. All of this is surrounded by really lush landscaping and of course lots of Faux Ardahkt trees. No CC, No CAP.
Great creations! Here's my contribution for the Summer Showcase.
Since Sims 4 is around the corner, this might be one of the last showcases for Sims 3 and I didn't want to miss it! I didn't have time to construct something from scratch. (It's birthdays and weddings month, lemme tell you!)
So I made a V 2.0 if you will. It's an older, tropical build, this time enhanced with Island Paradise.
It's a fun day out for Sims of all ages! I'm proudest of the mini-golf course! Link:
I have a modern beach house named White Sands to share. The style is sleek and ultra modern that focuses on comfort and serenity in the landscaping and interior design.
Features:
3 bedrooms and 3 baths
Detached art studio
Gym and dojo
Entertainment room
Lofted office
That 70's House is a 3 bed, 1 bath home that sits on a 30 x 30 lot on 73 Rachelle Lane in Appaloosa Plains. The lot has a retro 70's feel throughout, and is fully furnished. It totals to §139,124.
I finished my brand new Lighthouse Island Resort just in time for the summer showcase!
**Fingers Crossed**
This large waterfront resort has everything visitors need to get away and relax, and everything owners need for a 5-Star rating!
The Lighthouse Island Resort is your #1 destination for summer fun in the sun!
Includes: 4 VIP rooms with private bathrooms, a large pool with 2 bars, seating, and 2 hot tubs; an indoor bar, a large buffet setup, a gym, a lounge, and 2 resort towers.
I shared a seaside cottage today named 'Pelican's Place'. It has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, 2 balconies, swimming pool and an outside barbecue area. Hope you guys like my build. All comments, downloads and recommendations are very much appreciated. Here are some pics:
Pack your bags and take a trip to my brand new Uncharted Island Village!!
This was once "Plumbob Island" but was demolished, rebuilt, and regrown with gorgeous buildings and landscaping.
Escape your busy day-to-day life and spend your summer off the grid with this tropical island getaway!
The Keystone's curving roofline brings a playful, decorative element to its otherwise vernacular design. It is rooted in New England architectural traditions, and constructed from local materials, but has been furnished to reflect the owners' eclectic tastes and love of travel.
The house is dog- and child-friendly, great for parties, and can easily meet the work space needs of a painter, artisan, or inventor. It includes a large open plan family room, three double bedrooms, a spacious nursery, and a two-story art studio. None of the bedrooms are en suite, but they are all very close to one of the house's two bathrooms. The back garden features an outdoor fireplace, a treehouse, a vegetable patch, and a special fence designed to provide privacy from neighbours whilst not blocking the sea view.
You may notice in my pictures the sliding on the house looks a variety of different colours. This isn't anything to do with how I've edited them. It's just that the texture I've chosen seems to be particularly responsive to light, so this is what happens as the time of day changes. It's actually one of the things I really love about the house.
Please note that due to the cfe work I've done, new room divisions cannot be added to the area that is currently occupied by the master bedroom, upstairs bathroom, and nursery. They can be added to a limited to extent to the large family room, and without restriction to all other areas of the house.
The house comes fully upgraded and play-tested. No CC, no CAP - checked in Custard.
Lot Size: 40x30
Thanks To:
- Joolster for her complete paintings collection.
- Aminovas for her CC-Free artwork tutorial.
- Ethan Allen, from whose website real life versions of most of the artwork can be purchased.
- Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects, whose House On Salt Pond inspired the roofline.
- Sawdust for the name of the house.

I have a fun lot to share made for the summer showcase. I present Sim Sandcastle, a castle made entirely out of sand inside and out for your sims to live. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, study, formal dining, and basement.
This is a build I've worked on here and there in between DNA Request builds, because I utterly fell in love with DolphineQ's unicorn and SeriphinaFyie's children. I knew Fairy Taryn had to adopt them, but it took me some time to build them a home. I have had such fun playing this lot this summer!
This is a lot that I made for my own game, inspired by two talented friends' creations.
I had started a build for a unicorn farm, (now lost due to a severe "blonde moment" in which I had a moment of brilliance; a delusion of grandeur, thinking I would mass delete unused and partial builds to create more space for new builds. The unicorn farm WIP was a casualty of this "brilliance". But before this tragedy, I inquired about a unicorn to upload. You see, I've never played the game long enough to even see a unicorn, let alone befriend one, so my friend DolphineQ took pity on me and uploaded one for me. He is a beautiful unicorn! Pearly white and magical, he is exactly everything a unicorn should be:
Another friend, SeriphinaFyie uploaded these beautiful, beautiful children that she created...orphans...and I knew Fairy Taryn had to adopt them. They are so wonderful in my game and I love them dearly!
In my screenshots, you will see Ella, Samuel, Orion the unicorn, Fairy Taryn and the mischievous Scout (the latter two are in my own studio) living in their new home, Tower of the Tempest, that I just made for this blended family. Thank you Seriphina and Dolphine for your gorgeous creations. I am totally in love with them! Ella and Orion have become best friends, as have Scoutie and Samuel.
So my little family needed a home to call their own, and I wanted something fey, small, cute and fanciful. The living areas are small, but the lot is big.

The cottage dangles a bit precariously over the water, I'm afraid:

The tower connects to the house by a little swing bridge. Here, Fairy Taryn is walking across to her tower:

The barn is placed on this sloped lot, with a little laundry facility in the front and the stall down the hill on the lower level:

<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1965-Copy_zps95ac72ea.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1965-Copy_zps95ac72ea.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1965-Copy_zps95ac72ea.jpg"/></a>
The home is rather small, so many things are built right in. This is the entry, with a passage to the kitchen through the arch:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1926_zps0b9cb566.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1926_zps0b9cb566.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1926_zps0b9cb566.jpg"/></a>
The opposite side of the entry with the little library:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1929_zpseefcda23.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1929_zpseefcda23.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1929_zpseefcda23.jpg"/></a>
The cozy living room:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1919_zps872039d4.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1919_zps872039d4.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1919_zps872039d4.jpg"/></a>
The dining room is through these arches
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1917_zpsc5fc9114.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1917_zpsc5fc9114.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1917_zpsc5fc9114.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1918_zpsb28f9571.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1918_zpsb28f9571.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1918_zpsb28f9571.jpg"/></a>
The kitchen is open to the rest of the house:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1922_zpse8dd0067.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1922_zpse8dd0067.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1922_zpse8dd0067.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1924_zps5f701cd8.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1924_zps5f701cd8.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1924_zps5f701cd8.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1923_zps22806cf1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1923_zps22806cf1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1923_zps22806cf1.jpg"/></a>
A tiny powder room completes the first floor:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1925_zps871b6099.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1925_zps871b6099.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1925_zps871b6099.jpg"/></a>
Upstairs is a tiny piano nook for Ella and Samuel's music lessons:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1933-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps45b582eb.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1933-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps45b582eb.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1933-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps45b582eb.jpg"/></a>
The hall leads to the bedrooms:
Ella's room is tiny but cozy with built in storage and a built in bed:

<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1939-Copy-Copy_zps394a6205.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1939-Copy-Copy_zps394a6205.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1939-Copy-Copy_zps394a6205.jpg"/></a>
Samuel's room is small, but well appointed too:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1941-Copy-Copy_zpse40af067.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1941-Copy-Copy_zpse40af067.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1941-Copy-Copy_zpse40af067.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1940-Copy-Copy_zpsac02c5b6.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1940-Copy-Copy_zpsac02c5b6.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1940-Copy-Copy_zpsac02c5b6.jpg"/></a>
Samuel is studying to be a witch someday, so he took over the home's tower for a study loft, but Ella is welcome is come up and play too:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1943-Copy-Copy_zpscab47fce.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1943-Copy-Copy_zpscab47fce.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1943-Copy-Copy_zpscab47fce.jpg"/></a>
They share a little bathroom:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1944-Copy-Copy_zps58646657.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1944-Copy-Copy_zps58646657.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1944-Copy-Copy_zps58646657.jpg"/></a>
Fairy Taryn's bedroom:

<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1931-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps90bb381f.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1931-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps90bb381f.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1931-Copy-Copy-Copy_zps90bb381f.jpg"/></a>
Her en suite bathroom:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1967_zps287220f5.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1967_zps287220f5.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1967_zps287220f5.jpg"/></a>
Now let's go inside the tower:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1968_zpsa3a16818.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1968_zpsa3a16818.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1968_zpsa3a16818.jpg"/></a>
The first level is for study and alchemy:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1948-Copy_zps7bfe87b1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1948-Copy_zps7bfe87b1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1948-Copy_zps7bfe87b1.jpg"/></a>
The second level is for the storage of potions and ingredients, bugs, butterflies and gems and minerals. The cabinets are stocked full of goodies:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1949-Copy_zps567d77f5.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1949-Copy_zps567d77f5.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1949-Copy_zps567d77f5.jpg"/></a>
The third level of the tower is a little art studio, with a chess game always at the ready:
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1947-Copy-Copy_zps49c411ab.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1947-Copy-Copy_zps49c411ab.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1947-Copy-Copy_zps49c411ab.jpg"/></a>
The children have taken over the top of the tower for their own purposes. It is their little get-away!
<a href="http://s400.photobucket.com/user/taryntempestwind/media/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1946-Copy-Copy_zps9f2f8f13.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp84/taryntempestwind/taryntempestwind042/Screenshot-1946-Copy-Copy_zps9f2f8f13.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Screenshot-1946-Copy-Copy_zps9f2f8f13.jpg"/></a>
Everything has been upgraded on the lot.
I hope you enjoy my summery summer place! I will leave you with some screenshots of my little family in their country home.
