Website and My page Updates thread. January Edition (1/14/14) - Read first page before posting
Hello there!
Happy new year! hope all of you had an excellent holiday!
Lots of things on the background, so nothing shiny that i can show you but i will tell you what i can.
On my side we have fixed the issue that plagued the in game my page, you should be able now to see the messages, simport and gifts. We did a lot of bug fixing and backend improvements so there is nothing really shiny for me to show and tell you.
Stuff I am working on:
1. Finding the cause of intermittent store gift emails.
2. Finding out the cause of intermittent friend request emails.
3. Offline things. Lots.
4. Performance things, backend things
5. stuff i can't talk about

A question: Is patch 1.66 necessary for the ingame fixes (simport, gifting, player wall) or was that purely server side ? Many are holding off with patching cause of the retirement of our favorite modder.
Please do not send me PMs/post on my wall if you're looking for help. I can't attend to those. You can find me at AnswerHQ.

first of all, I wish you a very happy new year, too.
I'm sorry to bother you with a Store website issue:
I have been waiting patiently for ages, to download the Premium Content "Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower". In the past that content was blocked for download, because it belonged to a venue called "Serenity Retreat". Now the "Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower" is available individually, but it is showing as "not owned" for me, although I have bought the Gold-Edition of "Sunlit Tides" including the venue "Serenity Retreat" with the Outdoor Shower. That's a big issue for me (besides struggling to earn the money to be a good customer of the Sims 3 Store ). I cannot put many downloads in my game because I am playing on an old system (XP 32bit), which I cannot upgrade anymore. The RAM (4GB) isn't sufficient enough to play the Sims 3 with all EP's and Stuff Packs and a heap of additional Store Content. So I have to pick and choose which downloads I want to see in my game. The "Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower" is one of my all time favorites and I really wish I could download it individually.
Simguru Russkii, you are my last hope, if you could pass it over to the Store Web Team, that the Premium Content "Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower" isn't free downloadable for people who have already bought the "Serenity Retreat" venue, from which the item is a part, that would be great. Thank you very much for being here and listening.
Cheers
Cherrysette
Like most of us who still play with Showtime features, I am having major issues with Simport (and I am not alone by a long shot!). Prior to the 1.66 patch (since late November 2013) I was not able to send or receive Sims on tour. Since updating I can now receive those that are sent out by others, but I am still having issues with my requests.
When I send out a Sim from my town, everything appears to work correctly (the Sim "leaves" on tour); the problem comes in that those on my friends list are not getting an update that I have a Sim on tour and can not accept my Sim. Likewise when I request a specific performer, those on my friends list are not seeing that request either.
I have only two people on my friends list right now that Simport is working correctly for; the rest of us sit in game wondering when it will work for us too!!! Do you have any updates or new information on this problem?

All I can say, is THANK YOU! So very much! I have missed the interactions and gifting and simports! I know that you have made so many SIM'ers very happy! Happy New Year!!!

This is one of the most aggrevating bugs on this site. It has been happening for about 2 months. Please communicate this to the people that fix the site issues.
Oh this is happening on this site. I haven't tried it when I'm in game yet this is out of game.
I bumped my old thread regarding the issue with over-sized images here.

any help/insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
We chatted briefly on twitter and you asked me to post on your thread, I hope this is the right place!
My simport has NEVER worked completely. I have not been able to use it at all for about 6 months. Occasionally I can host a sim, but I can never send my sim out. It always tells me that I have too many currently on tour. I have zero sims on tour. If I look on my simport page, no one is there for me to cancel. I had one (just one) sim that I could send out (simport didn't recognize my second performer) until the 'too many...' Message started to pop up. Is there anyway to fix/reset that? I don't know how that's tracked in the game.
I have all the expansions and stuff packs and have updated. I also have a sizable amount of store content. I use Nraas MODs - Story progression, Woohooer, and Overwatch. I have tried to simport with and with out them. I also tried playing with them but turn off certain settings that Crin recommended.
Do you need any more info?
Here is my dxdiag

The Going Solo Main Forum
Just wondering about the lost screenshots from Stories in peoples studios, last you said the problem was being addressed.
Still blank stories on anything over a few months ago.
Any word yet please? Even just a "We can't fix it sorry" so that we can stop making stories with Story Maker as they are pointless.
For starters you only get so many of your sims that you can use as an avie. Not all of your sims can any longer be used as an avie.
You can no longer delete these sims under your profile. You use to be able to.
Once a sim you like to use disappears from the profile they can no longer be used as an avie. You have to reupload a new version to the exchange. This happens with the more sims and pets you make. Everytime you make a sim or pet and upload to your studio one sim/pet or more is lost under your profile were you edit your avatar.
These issues need fixing.
Yes I'm having this issue to. I uploaded a resort and it said that it sucessfully uploaded but it's not in my studio.
ETA: Update 02/16/2014
At work today, thought I'd give it a shot on the wireless at work which is 144 Mbps which is way faster than at home. I run into the same issue.
Another thing is with the Search feature in the above navigation is also seeing more time outs on searches. I'm doing some specific searches (that were successful in the past), that now get Liam'd. I was able to find what I needed using the same specific search in Google but that's not the point. I just find it odd that if I search on a specific term "I know" no one else has used in post except me, I should get a response back.
Is there a limit set in the parms for searching either way?
DO NOT - PM me tech ?s/issues. ▬ DO create a thread in it's respective Technical Forum. Vacation goes by way too fast!

Thank you.
As for the site, almost half of the time it just redirects to the "oops"-page on any given day!
And the exchange... I won't even start to talk about all the problems of getting a sim uploaded here in the first Place ("system error" etc), but even when you manage to upload a sim (or some other creation), there's a good chance that the exchange is stuck showing the same old sims for hours on end. The "newest" sim there might be uploaded 10 or more hours ago on the worst days!
