A few from the top of my head:
    • Musical instruments, specifically a drum set and an upright piano; the grand piano takes up way too much space especially in smaller homes. I grew up with an upright piano in my house (and took piano lessons for 3 years).
    • Cupcake machine recipes available on regular stoves/ovens: I think it's ridiculous to have to have a separate room for a giant machine to just make baked goods, especially now with the group cooking/baking being patched in this month. I use a mod to add that functionality but it's pretty old (though it still works).
    • Pool tables; I liked the ones in Sims 3 with the different tricks you could do.
    • Pool slide/pool toys
    • Volleyball; both land and water varieties (could be basically 1 on 1 or 2 on 2)
    • Not really an object, but I'd really like options for homeschooling or "study from home" so kids/teens wouldn't have to disappear for X hours a day. I think I'd like this better than an actual active school career (I've found the GTW active careers to be extremely unwieldy especially if your Sim has a family)

Yes to all of these! I want homeschooling as well. And I also liked in Sims 3 (i believe it came in generations) where you could choose to send your child off to boarding school or enrol them in a specialized school (ex. arts). While that wouldnt be an activity it would be nice for gameplay and storytelling

I believe theres a couple in City Living - I think it's tied to the politician career and I'm unsure if theres other interactions with it at the top of my head. But it would be nice for Sims to be able to make a speech at events or smth!

I'll list my top choices that I can think of right now:

    - Functional group tea set; I see a lot of requests and I am one of these
    - Horses; counting these as objects
    - Safari gameplay; not an object but it is gameplay with objects that would go along with it
    - Smaller telescope
    - New community lots; since I see these requested, yes, I would also like more of these
    - More hobby objects in general
    - Art gallery events in the museum and possibly events in the library and gym; give us reasons to go there; If they come up with an art thief mystery or similar, I would be interested; new forms of art would also interest me
    - Magician set; that would be family friendly
    - Slot machine and new card games at which sims can make or lose money; I want some of my wealthy sims to go broke and some sims to get a nice surprise. Maybe they could add prizes to the lottery. Roulette, etc.
    - Drum set with bands; yes, I am in the bands crowd.
    - Italian pizza oven and Italian themed world with more recipes; I know we have a lot of recipes but Italian hasn't been fully done.
    - Kites? These could be used anywhere and be family-friendly. Maybe you could get kits to make your own. As I think about it, activity kits may be a good way to go.
    - Tennis racquet and gameplay.
    - More elaborate hot cocoa set. I am surprised that this wasn't with Snowy Escape.
    - Wedding veils, more wedding objects for customized weddings
    - Shaving and shaving kits for any sims who need that; body hair could come with this
    - Boats; I know TS3 did that well
    - More experiences; I know those aren't objects but go along with gameplay
    - If they want to do a barbecue kit with more features or something, I would be interested. This could be a global theme with different styles from around the world.
    - If they want to give us more objects related to some of the themes we have such as more blankets to knit, I would be interested.
    - I'd be interested in more fortune teller-related stuff that I see requested.
    - If they want to come out with more children's playground equipment, parties and social events, I would use those with the kids in my game. They could also add more active school gameplay.
    - Croquet and working pool table; Croquet would go well in the new world; alternatively bocce
    - More games and gameplay for the swimming pool
    - Casket; I nearly forgot this but yes, I do want a casket and funeral-related gameplay. I'd be willing to take this in a haunted pack. Improved funeral events would be basic for me.

I might be able to think of more but all of this is among my interests for this game.

These are all so great!! And I love the idea of being able to hold an art gala of some kind at the museum/gallery - thatd be great for celebrity sims. And I really would want to make hot chocolate. Hopefully with chocoberries and the ability to make chocolate milk is a sign of us being able to make that in game! And I really like all the outdoor activities you listed as well!

Thanks, I am glad to know that other players want similar activities. Honestly, I think that even when someone wants something that isn't exactly what I've thought of, it probably improves the game.

I just want all the building and clothing items to offer all the color options so I can more easily stick with a theme. I really like some doors, windows, shoes, etc. but don't use them because It won't match the other things I've already picked out.

Also, being able to add butterflies, dragonflies, squirrels, birds, frogs and other pleasant wildlife to your garden is something I'd LOVE to see!

-A blender would be nice. This could make smoothies, milkshakes, and maybe even slot onto bars to add more drink types to the menu.
Other than that, I'd love to see:
    -Multi-monitor computers
-Futons that act as both couches and fold-out beds (There's a basegame couch that looks just like one I have).
-RV parts? For building, I mean. It might be a pipe dream, but if we got cars, I'd love a "Mobile Home" lot type that can transport you to any lot, and you can transport back into it by using your key fob, rather than using "return home".
Check out my 'Simming Tips' for detailed tips and tricks (TS4).

I'd like to see more motorized and high tech things.
-Push a secret button and a bar or bed comes out of the wall.
-Another button make a wall(s) slide out, turning an open concept room into two or more rooms.
    -People-mover walkways.
-Nightclub lights (color, strobes, lasers) that synchronize with the music, even your mp3s. <--Might be asking for too much there.
-Scrolling LED marquee signs that display a short sentence that you type in to a box.
-Rotating platforms for sculptures, fountains, etc.
-Elevators that can be used in houses because I doubt the elite use the stairs when going from the fourth floor to the fourth basement level.

Pretty much cool things we have seen with lights or that move automatically but are not that common.

Also, If I'm building an elaborate fountain for a mansion or something, I'll switch back and forth between Build and Live mode as I add the dancing fountain heads, in order. It gives it that Vegas effect with the spray starting on one end and moves to the other. The problem is this timing won't stay that way if you upload the lot or even leave the lot.
I want an easy way to program this and it carry over when someone downloads it. The ability to program color changes too, why not?

I would like to see more moonlighting gigs. I'm a painter and only work two days a week. For example maxed out wellness needs portable massage tables, clients and get paid for your services.

Slight of hand would be an awesome addition to the playful sims. Kind of like comedy it is great for putting on a show at a social event. Wouldn't need much just a deck of cards and again a portable table to show off those high level skills.

Of course earn money for all these, but here is where it gets good.
When you receive a call from a client looking to get a fertility massage at home, when you show up treat it as if it were Go to Work with small objectives to get maximum pay out.

For Slight of hand you can stay small, tots, kids and teen birthday parties. Or go big with main stage corporate gigs all freelance.

Lastly for the moment where are the shrinks these sims have issues. I really like simlish it cracks me up, through dialog interactions the proud graduate of foxbury Institute can flex their psychology degree. Changing moodlets of depressed sim or say couples therapy with their marriage in the balance, an unruly teen send them to the doc to work on those anger issues. When the sim returns they are in what ever mood the doctor prescribed and it should hold for a few days.

    - a functional tea set with teapot and cups (not just decor)

    - more musical instruments: drumkit, bass guitar, cello, accordion, at least a wind instrument, harp (possibly a Celtic one)

    - a nectar making vat or machine, and barrels of various sizes with tap (functional so that Sims get get a drink from it)

    - decor/clutter shaped like food (cheese wheels, links of sausages, food cans, sacks, etc) to decorate pantries with.

    - metal scraps (and junkyards to look for them) that can be used to create metal sculptures (as in TS3)

    - a functional pottery wheel to make pottery (+ skill)

    - a functional sewing machine to make clothes

    - more collectable animals (lizards & turtles)

    - another set of natural collectables (small things like leaves/flowers/pines cones/abandoned bird nest/shed snake skin/etc)

    - more book covers for books written by Sims, with an option to choose which one to use

That's the sort of thing that was just begging to be a part of either the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack or the Country Kitchen Kit. An opportunity lost, IMHO.
There are sacks and produce piles as objects in the new Cottage Living pack, maybe they can be used via Debug mode. I don't have that pack yet so I can't really comment.

One of your other suggestions (nectar vat), I suppose it's similar to a juicer? That would be a pretty nice way to utilise the garden produce I'm lugging around. I don't know how keen I would be for a cool glass of onion juice though.
There's a juice fizzer thing in Eco Lifestyle though. I haven't messed around with it yet.

Hello! I couldn't find a discussion about this so forgive me if I missed it, but I wanted to ask what new gameplay-related objects would you want to see added to the Sims 4? These could be from previous titles or completely new ideas, whatever comes to mind!

I just remembered that the Sims 3 had a tablet that let sims listen to podcasts based on skills and they would automatically boost said skill while they do other things - I think this would be even more relevant now with audiobooks becoming more popular.

Another one is the changing table that we've had in the Sims 2 and 3 - I love family gameplay and would use this so often!

Smaller/normal sized telescopes - I have no clue why that hasn't been added yet...

So what are some that you want added to the game?

    More plumbots stuff

I would like to see more animals for the cottage life update. Pigs, goats, sheep, horses etc. It would also be great to be able to utilize watercrafts on all bodies of water, not just Sulani

Now that it’s been mentioned, a regular old backyard telescope would be fun to have back. Things I’d also like are:

    - A game table based on tabletop RPGs would be cool, maybe with the players getting a different moodlet depending on the outcome of the game. Maybe they could all get a Confident one from beating a boss or something. Maybe a GM with the Evil or Mean trait might get a Confident moodlet from a total party kill. : p

this plus blackjack, a dj table and a flyable UFO like alien sims and a certain Rick Sanchez.

A diffuser that you can alter the mood of different rooms with by adding oils from different plants. Perhaps mix and match potions to create new moods. It should work well with gardening and wellness skills, if you have Spa Day.
