Hello! I couldn't find a discussion about this so forgive me if I missed it, but I wanted to ask what new gameplay-related objects would you want to see added to the Sims 4? These could be from previous titles or completely new ideas, whatever comes to mind!

I just remembered that the Sims 3 had a tablet that let sims listen to podcasts based on skills and they would automatically boost said skill while they do other things - I think this would be even more relevant now with audiobooks becoming more popular.

Another one is the changing table that we've had in the Sims 2 and 3 - I love family gameplay and would use this so often!

Smaller/normal sized telescopes - I have no clue why that hasn't been added yet...

So what are some that you want added to the game?

I miss the telescopes! Some more cars, or maybe base game bikes would be nice. There are so many things missing that we've had in past games I can't even remember everything.

yess i agree - i honestly wouldnt use cars very much since its not like we would be able to really drive them But i would like if they add cars that we get the ability to work on a broken down car like in the sims 2

    • Ouija board
    • Tarot cards
    • Tea set
    • Picnic blanket, so our sims can have an actual picnic on the ground and not on a table, Cottage Living. A picnic basket is just a glorified cooler and our sims don't even need it to eat out
    • More musical instruments
    • Board games that can be played on any table, even on the go
    • Strollers, so we can travel easily with babies and toddlers
    • Anything that lets us make and store nectar
    • Zen garden
    • Sculpting set, so we can make life-sized sculptures of sims

The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017

    Besides small microscopes and telescopes

    I’d like to see:

Volleyball for 2-8 people, children through elder.

Playing catch with a ball and mitt, children through elder. Also, a clutter mitt and clutter baseball to put on a shelf, dresser, end table of coffee table.

A clutter football, and for children through elder be able to throw it back and forth.

A large ball for toddlers to roll back and forth to each other or to children through elders.

    4 square fir children

    More park equipment for children.

Handball for ages children through elder.

    Skateboards for children and teens

    Razors or scooters for children.

Ride on’s and push toys for toddlers.

Bikes for children, trikes for toddlers.

Rags dolls and baby dolls for children and toddlers to play with and also clutter rag dolls and baby dolls for any one to place on shelves, dressers, and any type of table or sideboard.

A Barbie doll box that children can interact with to play Barbies, 2 or 3 children should be able to play together. Or just one child.

Cars, trucks and motorcycles. A Mechanic career and hobby. A gas station/‘minimart/car wash you can own, or just go to and buy stuff at.

    A pool table.

Romance interactions, slow dancing, and fast dancing together. Also a romantic bear rug.

    More active careers with workplaces.

Also, the things Gordy mentioned, especially the board games that can be played on a table. I think it would be neat if you had different looking game boxes, and could choose from a half dozen games. They could be like books, put in a cube, on a dresser, table, end, table, or in a open slot in a bookcase for storage.

A costume category that you can use for costume parties, halloween parties, trick or treating, and cosplay. I want it to be where you can make up your own costume.

I also want children to be able to play together without toys, things like tag, cops and robbers, London bridge, ring around the rosy. Also, I would like them to be able to play with small things like marbles, jacks, and army men. With little clutter bags of marbles, jacks and army men, to put on shelves, desks, bookcases, dressers, and all kinds of tables.

Strollers, walkers, bouncers, blankets, cribs and play pens for babies when they free them.

I would even take many of these things in kits or stuff packs for toddlers, teens, and children especially if they brought them out.

More instruments would be great! And if we get a music/band based pack then there could be a music club/lessons as an extracurricular for children and teens!

Volleyball for 2-20 people, children through elder.

Playing catch with a ball and mitt, children through elder. Also, a clutter mitt and clutter baseball to put on a shelf, dresser, end table of coffee table.

    Skateboards for children and teens

I love all of these! I want more family-based gameplay in the Sims 4 - Im happy we're getting group cooking and gardening in the new pack but brand new activities that are made to be for groups is something I hope for!

Yes, I love it when they add things for children, toddlers, and teens. Like you, I like them being able to cook together and garden too.

I really like your idea of a typewriter, or note pad and pen for people writing off the grid! And pool slide, diving board and games for the pool.

definitely more instruments! or any objects related to music/ bands. i miss when you could create a band with your teens, i think that would be a really cool feature if they added a drum set or something. also i want more plants lol, i know there's already heaps but i overload my houses with plants so some new ones would be lovely :)

    Toddler stollers.

Art stuff- A simple drawing pad or sketch book. Not everyone is a digital artist so I think having the traditionally pen and paper stuff would be cool. Also clutter like paints, pencils, makers and stacks of papers or drawing books.

Kitchen appliances-Blender and an easy bake oven for kids. I'm glad kids can finally cook and it's been long over do. I want a blender so we make smoothies and milkshakes.

Miscellaneous things that sims can do together- Build train set, legos, play on hand held consoles

I would like some live pink flamingoes. They could add them like the pond animals effects.
A picnic blanket sims could sit, sleep, and eat on
A deodorant bottle that would make sims hygiene decay more slowly
    Jewelry making table

Sewing machine and stuff to make an amusement park: a carousel and roller coaster would be a good start.

So many good ideas here. I'LL add teddy bears that children that carry and hug as well as sleep with.

A bed that let's up to 3 sims sleep in it.

    Hoolahoop!

Picnic but for the floor 😭

    Drawing chalk for the ground

    Hopscotch

    Kids treehouse

    Blender

I really wanted a toddler walker before they learn how to walk.

Someone mentioned it but I REALLY want strollers. Hard to keep up with toddlers when I go out and I hate when they wander.

Forts that kids can actually build out of boxes or one made of like a blanket thrown over chairs for them to play in.

Skates that allows sims to skate anywhere not stuck in a rink

Ball to throw back and forth. The football and regular ball

    Seesaw

    Spring horse

    Paintball guns

    Board games for the floor

Paint brushes and buckets of paint for sims to paint their house

    Vollyball

I would love to have functional little hygiene objects like hair brush, shaving razor etc with actual animations

Bike for two sims. Where they can either ride on those two seater bikes or one sim can sit on the front of the bike

Boats for more than 1 sim

    Bathtubs for 2 sims

    Weight lifting objects

Pacifiers for toddlers that actually keeps them quiet and happy.

One thing I always wanted were baby carriers😭😭 so sims can cook or do whatever with the bab or toddler on them.
I know toddlers are little big for carriers but babies are objects so I use my toddler as a baby lol

Arcade stuff. Especially those arcade motorcycles for sims to compete against eachother

Face masks for polluted world that actually stops sims from coughing (i wrote coffing before google corrected me😅) or being negativity affected by the pollution. But an added uncomfortable mask boost after extended wear would be nice

    Jumping rope

    Pizza maker

    Bigger more complex jungle gym

Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

More diverse community lots. I get a little tired of which bar/lounge, which museum, which fitness center etc. More family friendly lots like a water park or petting zoo or orchards or ranches. I literally never go to a park to play chess irl. My sims don't stay home a lot and the community lots being more diverse and family friendly would be amazing.
Maybe sports teams you can watch (create sim rivalry) for the athletic career track perhaps. So yeah, better community lots would be great

Now that it’s been mentioned, a regular old backyard telescope would be fun to have back. Things I’d also like are:

    - A game table based on tabletop RPGs would be cool, maybe with the players getting a different moodlet depending on the outcome of the game. Maybe they could all get a Confident one from beating a boss or something. Maybe a GM with the Evil or Mean trait might get a Confident moodlet from a total party kill. : p
    - I know I’ve said this a lot in other threads but the baby play mat, swing and stroller from TS3 I would like to have back
    - Someone mentioned tarot, I feel like that would have been cool in the Paranormal pack
    - More instruments as well, maybe something different than the usual sims guitars and piano- possibly brass or woodwind would be fun.
    they/them or she/her

I'll list my top choices that I can think of right now:

    - Functional group tea set; I see a lot of requests and I am one of these
    - Horses; counting these as objects
    - Safari gameplay; not an object but it is gameplay with objects that would go along with it
    - Smaller telescope
    - New community lots; since I see these requested, yes, I would also like more of these
    - More hobby objects in general
    - Art gallery events in the museum and possibly events in the library and gym; give us reasons to go there; If they come up with an art thief mystery or similar, I would be interested; new forms of art would also interest me
    - Magician set; that would be family friendly
    - Slot machine and new card games at which sims can make or lose money; I want some of my wealthy sims to go broke and some sims to get a nice surprise. Maybe they could add prizes to the lottery. Roulette, etc.
    - Drum set with bands; yes, I am in the bands crowd.
    - Italian pizza oven and Italian themed world with more recipes; I know we have a lot of recipes but Italian hasn't been fully done.
    - Kites? These could be used anywhere and be family-friendly. Maybe you could get kits to make your own. As I think about it, activity kits may be a good way to go.
    - Tennis racquet and gameplay.
    - More elaborate hot cocoa set. I am surprised that this wasn't with Snowy Escape.
    - Wedding veils, more wedding objects for customized weddings
    - Shaving and shaving kits for any sims who need that; body hair could come with this
    - Boats; I know TS3 did that well
    - More experiences; I know those aren't objects but go along with gameplay
    - If they want to do a barbecue kit with more features or something, I would be interested. This could be a global theme with different styles from around the world.
    - If they want to give us more objects related to some of the themes we have such as more blankets to knit, I would be interested.
    - I'd be interested in more fortune teller-related stuff that I see requested.
    - If they want to come out with more children's playground equipment, parties and social events, I would use those with the kids in my game. They could also add more active school gameplay.
    - Croquet and working pool table; Croquet would go well in the new world; alternatively bocce
    - More games and gameplay for the swimming pool
    - Casket; I nearly forgot this but yes, I do want a casket and funeral-related gameplay. I'd be willing to take this in a haunted pack. Improved funeral events would be basic for me.

I might be able to think of more but all of this is among my interests for this game.

These are all so great!! And I love the idea of being able to hold an art gala of some kind at the museum/gallery - thatd be great for celebrity sims. And I really would want to make hot chocolate. Hopefully with chocoberries and the ability to make chocolate milk is a sign of us being able to make that in game! And I really like all the outdoor activities you listed as well!
