This game and Paralives are beautiful but sadly they didn't show the gameplay yet.
It looks like Second Life, I mean beautiful stuff but nothing fun to do.
It's important that they begin to talk about the gameplay as soon as possible because the game will be released in about 15 months.
The Sims Studio had much more to show 1 year before the release date.
Has anybody heard anything about Paradox Techtonic Studio lately. They don't seem to be offering any jobs from what I can see but if anyone is interested in one there, there's a page for that.

Looks interesting. The graphics really remind me of Hitman
Also interesting to see that this game seems to be taking a different approach rather than just being a sims copycat like another game which will not be named
Like for Paralives, I'm cautiously optimistic and just waiting for more gameplay elements that matter to me: rotational play, relationships, personalities, occults, characters A.I, aging, life stages (will it be a well-balanced gameplay and not just focus on one?), how organized Buy/Build mod is etc. Most importantly, what new elements will they bring to the table (not just a copy of the Sims). It seems like the world will be "bigger" if we can already visit other places, then maybe add more places to live in with free updates. $7 DLC seems reasonable.
Of course, that doesn't mean I'll suddenly stop playing the Sims because I still have fun with all of them. If I also like those other games as well, I don't have to choose one over the others, I'll play all of them and I'll have lots of fun.
The game was developed in 4 months during the lockdown, they probably recycle existing resources from the Unreal Engine marketplace like all the studios do.
I don't think it matters at this point.Let them focus on making a game first .Than worry about repersentation. I think we focus too much on repersentation.Which sometimes can hurt the games progress.
I'd love to try out any Sims type competitors but it depends how much they cost for the base game. I'll leave it to early buyers to show what they are all about before I buy this time. They are wise game developers, with a new game, about not allowing mods as it might take all their capital to sort out problems that come with them.
I'll still play and build in Sims 4 though, unless the others get so compelling I gradually move over!
Thanks for the Tectonic news about 2th August. It'll have to be good as I've given up on "Skylines" series.
How will the characters react to events around them?
How many interactions with the world around them? Could we create other animals than dogs or are they just decoration?
Will there be some kind of memory/attraction/reputation systems?
What kind of details? (will the characters sweat after doing exercise for a long time?)
Will there be rabbit holes (career buildings, school, some lots) or will they be open?
Can we go to the grocery store?
We can have our own business: can we have home businesses? for other careers, can we work from home?
Lots: cinema/theater, sport, apartments, restaurants, multi-purpose lots ect.?
Animations: cooking, cars (no teleporting?), social interactions (good, bad and neutral) etc.
What are the social events?
Will off-the grid be a possibility?
Education: homeschooling? Private schools? University?
Since there's a world map, can we do social events in other countries? Can we study abroad?
How will romance work? Will there be intimacy between them?
How many traits to begin with?
Can we change how long life stages last?
How many sims can we create in a same family?
Could we create teen-only households? Could teens whoohoo?
Will the social worker automatically take away kids who are neglected/doing bad at school?
There's not much known about this game at all. I bet most of these questions the developers can't even answer themselves yet, let alone us. If you want to know anything, the best idea would be to join their Discord and ask the developers themselves.
I woke up to a huge influx of new members in the Discord channel. Simmer Erin made a video so a ton of people have joined.
There are a lot of questions people have.
Here's the ones that I asked last night that he answered
YooToday at 3:48 AM
Just wondering if you can do RL things like find your soul mate/life partner, get married, have kids, find jobs, etc. Also I know someone on the Sims 4 Forum was wondering if the game would be LGBT friendly @Chicklet Hi, in the game you can meet any character and start a relationship with them, I will try to make this process more fun. You can get married and have children. So far, I can't say anything about LGBT people. I will refrain from answering.
[3:51 AM]
Sorry for so many questions, people on Sims 4 Forum are wondering how many lifestages will there be? (babies, toddlers, child, teen, young adult, adult, elder?) @Chicklet The game will have 10 stages of life, starting from the child and ending with the eldest. All these stages will differ depending on the wishes and needs of the character. For example, at 16, your character will fall in love with girls more often and girls at 16 will want to buy new clothes more often.
[3:53 AM]
Also they are wondering if there will be height slider @Chicklet Height growth? It is already in the game! You can make a family of little people))))
[3:59 AM]
Another question they asked was if there would be rotational play, where you could play different families and will there be story progression? @Chicklet I want to make interesting progress in developing a game for each character.
For example, your character wants to learn how to cook. It will have from 1 to 10 levels of culinary skill.
1 level, it can cook simple dishes, sandwiches, noodles and so on
Level 10, it can cook food like in a restaurant and save a lot of money. He will also get a unique chef costume.
Progress in the game will be like in MMO, where you will have to study each case for a very long time.

Not that much, in 1 year they didn't nothing yet. I'm not sure they already recruit all the members of the team.
COVID-19 + Work from Home don't help them.

Of course, I never told to do it right now, an update can come in 1 year or 3.
Just be planned.
The Sims 4 got more colors 4 years later.

The Sims 4 General DiscussionYeah, I'm not sure he understood what I mean either.
There will be seasons, he's currently working on snow.
Right now it is just him, he's been working on it for 7 months, this is not the first game he's worked on.
He will have beta testing by the end of the year.
Controls will be a combination of keyboard (WSAD) for the camera and mouse.
Thanks for asking such good questions over there for us!!!
Wow! 10 stages.of the life cycle!
