What I'd like to see Today is TheSims on twitter announce to tune in to their YouTube Channel on Tuesday. Also they have another guru garage coming up Today so maybe they could announce it at the end.
So I was on Iron Seagull's video and someone commented that they saw an expansion called "Tropical Paradise" on InstantGaming, and it's real! Here's the link:
If it's fake, I'm gonna be sad cause I love these features. 😂 I think it may be real though, university will probably come in October... After my plum witches gp. 🙄
Hate to break it to you, but the features list is just copied and pasted from another one of the discussions on the Sims Forums. They're a placeholder until the official announcement and then they'll change it to the official one. Same thing with the cover art.
Yeah, I read it. Well, I'm still sure that if the ep is real it'll have some cool features.
Regarding Resorts or Hotels. Island Paradise in TS3 had Resorts even though it was just a home world so I suspect regardless if this is a home world or a destination world it will have hotels aka resorts.
I honestly preferred the full-fledged hotel system from TS1 and TS2. The resorts in IP were more on the management side. I just want my sims to relax and explore the place
No, they weren't. You simply had the option to manage them, also. I place resorts in every TS3 world and vacation to them using the traveler mod. I also keep a seedy one, and a luxurious one in my homeworld. One for the streetwalkers and the other for weddings, honeymoons and escorts.
Yes they were. They gave you the option to stay in them, but by far the management aspect is much more fleshed out. Island Paradise was not about going on vacation, and the focus with resorts was not offering a bunch of gameplay as if it were a vacation spot.

I guess, if that's how you chose to play. The resorts, plus the remaining pack features, offered plenty of gameplay. Your own sims can do everything the NPCs can. Personally, I always thought the management part was lacking because nothing worked the way I expected it to.
What I'm saying is, just because they marketed the management features didn't make it any less usable as a vacation spot. My main issue with it was that it was a homeworld, so I needed a mod if I wanted to visit IP.

It’s not a matter of choosing to play that way. Not everything is a basis of opinion. The resorts were more about ownership and management than they were relaxing and staying, that’s obvious with how many different interfaces exist for management aspects. They provided the basic option for staying, but it’s not the main part of the content or the expansion pack.

I would rather have university. I wouldn't protest to a new holiday destination, but the very next EP after this should be university if this rumour is true.
Hopefully we get more info soon. I must say, though, if the theme of this new pack is tropical, I hope that people don't decide to be negative just because it's not university or school related. I've seen a lot of "I prefer university, I don't like it" and even a little "I'm going to be mad about whatever comes outs as long as it isn't University" - I've seen more people saying that last one than I expected or cared to see.

Well I for one would love to see a Tropical vacation pack, and I think it would be great if it could be a home world too, some sims could live there, and others could visit. I wouldn’t mind seeing rentals in home worlds. And I would love to see hotel/ motel lots. I already have a couple lots I use as a hotelvfor some of my sims, just bedrooms in a bar, nightclub, or lounge lot. But, I would love to see a real hotel lot.

There will be negative comments if this isn't universities. I've already seen them on Twitter posting to TheSims. This is to be expected. If it were universities people would be complaining cause it wasn't an island ep.
Basically I hope we get the teaser Monday and the Announcement and Trailer Tuesday. I'm ready for this Expansion Pack to get announced so I can put up my countdown thread. I'm really excited about this one.

me to @catloverplayer its always fun counting the days to the new pack
This is really exciting tho, I do hope it will be a Tropical Island place, I was never able to play the one in Sims 3, for some reason it would just freeze, even on this new computer I have now. I hope it is, I can't wait to find out, and see what they have with it.

Same here! I wasn't playing TS3 when Island Paradise released and I only have Pets and Seasons for TS3. I've wanted a pack like that in TS4 FOREVER and if it actually comes this time I'll collapse out of excitement.

I want university but will not complain if it turns out the next EP isn’t. I already see people saying “ugh they’re not listening to what we wantL” they don’t understand EP take a while to start, I’ve only recently seen the want for University become vocal, so it’s likely they were already working on another EP when the want became more vocal.

Why do a Carribean/Hawaii theme? Why not base an Island/beach style pack on Australia? So well known for our beaches here, and there are plenty of tropical type places here too, like Darwin or Queensland, could easily still be 'tropical' but more based in Aussie culture. Would have been the perfect opportunity. It really stinks seeing most of the inspiration be American. The only world that doesn't scream 'America' to me is Windenburg. All the others are so American.

LOL this was with Strangerville lmao
This is quiet hilarious and not far from the truth. However I wouldn't buy it. I've yet to get Strangerville, in which eventually I will but only bcuz I want the military career and build items that came with it. I think that's been most of the community when they buy the packs for Sims 4, don't care for the packs as a whole just pieces in them.

Race Against the Clock: Can your elder sim turn back the clock before their time runs out?

I doubt it. They said in the past that it would be really time consuming, but hey for all we know, they could surprise us!
