Hey Simmers!

How are your Sims doing? My Sims had a creepy and strange week! Anyone else laughing out loud in front of their computer?

Today's Friday Highlight will be specially dedicated to StrangerVille discussions. This post will be spoiler free -you can fully open your eyes now. I'll make it clear when I'm linking any spoilers, don't worry if you haven't played the story yet!

Threads with spoilers

• This week, let me start the list with a classic - what's a new pack without a screenshots sharing space? Started by @catloverplayer and full of pictures of Sims in trouble, you can find lots of amazing images in 'StrangerVille picture thread'. Don't forget to share yours!
• Continuing with more screenshots - @Simanite has captured in a great story their Sim's StrangerVille experiences. 'Spoilers/Picture-Heavy: StrangerVille is the first time I've been surprised by the Sims in 10 years'. From the beginning of the investigation to you-know-what - if you don't mind spoilers, a very recommended read!
• Moving on to polls! @Simtown15 is wondering 'How long did it take you to complete the StrangerVille mystery?'. There's many ways of playing The Sims, and your playing style will make a difference on how quickly you play through the mystery - it's not the same playing with a single Sim than a family of 8, for example! If you have completed the mystery already - how many Sims days did it take? Leave your vote!

Hi. So disappointed, spent 3 hours of my Friday evening trying to buy the new Strangerville extension but keep getting error codes thrown at me. Never had a problem with other purchases. Anybody else had this issue? Thanks.

Hello @bluebutterfly73
Try shutting down your computer completely. Then restart the computer, log into origin, go to Games Library and click on the Sims 4 icon. A new screen will appear. Click on the Games pack label that is half way down the page, and try to buy Strangerville that way.

I got so excited to see my pic of Velma reposted, I just ran downstairs to share the news with hubby, squealing all the way Yes, I'm quite an excitable person.

of course, I was already in an excitable mood, having just fought the Mother and got my butt kicked lol

After I bought Strangerville, I have been having so many problems, wish I never bought it. The game is freezing and nothing works . how do I uninstall o fix the problem. I have start the game, reset the computer and I still cant get the game to launch. I thought that it could be my laptop but everything else works but the Sims 4 and I am so said.

I am sorry that you are having game issues
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop.
Delete the cache files
https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-cache-files
Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
If the issues remain , it would be best to post about your issues on the AHQ EA site
