@orkhid22 A farming pack would be cool! And it's likely too, if they are heading in the direction of something new, since it's a theme we have never had in the series before.

If it's well-done and can stand on its own, I wouldn't mind. There are lots of things they can explore with a musician pack, like bands, solo singers, drums, bass guitars, live concerts, studio recording sessions, music video shoots, etc.
My only issue is that without GF, you can be a rock or pop star but you won't have the fame system, which kind of diminishes the experience. I would've liked it if a music career were included in GF in the first place to round it out, but what's done is done.

Am I the only one who seriously doubt Tropical Vacation? Don't yiu think the developers feel like they have covered travels with Outdoor Retreat and Jungle Adventures?
Uh, no? There are no swimmable beaches or islands in Jungle Adventures, no?

Personally, I want the island to be a place for my sims to live in, not a temporary vacation location. So, I wouldn’t want it as a vacation pack, but as a liveable location, just like Sims 3 Island Paradise. I just loved the theme of Island Paradise.
I'd rather have a residential beach world to live in than a small vacation world to visit. I'd still like all the stuff to do on a beach vacation like shell collecting, treasure hunting, sand castle building, etc. I'd also like lots on the beach to build more relaxed type beach houses. And, if Mermaids made the cut, I wouldn't be unhappy to get them before witches. Ocean swimming is a must either way, but I'd prefer snorkeling to deep diving. Seeing all the natural reefs and coral and running into an electric eel or two or baby shark or getting ink blasted by a squid.
I have a feeling university is coming as well in 2019, and hopefully a magic/supernatural GP. Although, I am really hoping for an original EP for sims 4 comes out soon, and not something that we've had in previous games. I think a full fleshed out farming pack would be nice (comes with new world, active farming career, more animals, etc.) Or maybe even a super hero vs super villain pack!

2019 should be dedicated to all life stages other than adults. 2018 was the year of neglecting anyone who wasn't an adult. Only Seasons gave kids and toddlers a slightly decent amount of CAS and Elders still haven't gotten anything special. Teens only benefit because for some reason they share their clothes with the adults. Toddlers better get lots of new hair next year since they desperately need it along with new clothes. Also, they need to update babies and make them an actual life stage and not objects.
But of course, I don't expect any of this actually happen and they'll actually probably neglect all non-adults even worse than this year.
Honestly I hate university so my hope is not that. I feel it's a waste anyways as the best careers now are not tied to actual careers. I want witches or any fantasy related stuff. Hobbies would be cool too.
@fullspiral@fadingaudio finally others who aren't in love with university! I thought I was alone lol. I don't understand the attraction, or why people want interactive school with kids. Like, I just finished school. Rather not do it again right now. Never tried university in 3, but it was so boring in 2. I never thought I'd dislike a part of sims 2, and then I played university.
Nonetheless, I also fully expect university to be next. Tons of people love it, so I'm happy for you guys, because idk what the sims team is doing if it isn't next after seasons
I feel like cars will be patched in rather than be a pack, just because so many other missing things from other games came in patches. Del Sol Valley has all those driveways too. But personally, I would like to see more occults and hobbies. They're my top priorities. My sims need something to do, because I find it way too easy to master skills considering the emotion and lot trait boosts. They're running out of pastimes, especially the elders. And I just know more occults have the potential to be sooo amazing. Just imagine having a bunch of supernaturals interacting with each other! And the rivalries you could have if you have clubs from Get Together. So exciting!
Also it'd be cool to just get more traits, as well as the ability to have more than 3, and actual behavior changes from traits, not just emotions and interests that are there on paper but I feel like don't actually affect anything. I haven't played Get Famous myself, but from what I've seen in videos, the quirks in that pack have more impact on sims than their actual traits do.
@Dannydanbo I would love that! And it doesn't have to be bigger than a stuff pack either, so it's totally realistic to hope for.
I am not trying to be a pessimist here, but I am afraid some of the hopes and dreams for 2019 is a bit too ambitious... Even my wishes for EPs and new content. Oh well, as long as I get my Uni I'll be eternally grateful.
We all have wants and expectations for sims 4 2019 and even for the future. Here are my main wants and tbh my needs lol. Do you agree? Anything else that you're dying to see come to sims 4?
This list is in no particular order ;)
More stairs; L-shaped, Spiral, Curved, stars that can rotate on the angle!!, Double L-shaped, And even pool stairs. (more or less what everyone wants to see)
Farming; livestock, agriculture/ gardening like crops, and even different energy sources like windmills or solar panels.
Horses; Riding, competitions, breeding, all the works. (especially with the new pets personality stuff)
Having 8 sims in a household is max and we understand, but it would be an issue with horses, pets AND livestock. The livestock would obviously be completely separate and may not even have a max, but there isn't a way to have a family of 4, 2 dogs, a cat and a horse ranch for the sims 3. The horses would need to have their own separate "household" limit.
More supernaturals; werewolves, witches, mermaids maybe like island paradise, zombie aspects, ect.
Curved Pools and fountains
CURVED WALLS!
Better babies; really just anything more than the limited interactive object that they are now.
Sloped/ incline ceilings(not talking about roofs lol)
Re-worked personalities; get famous and parenthood quirks/ character values brought into adults and social aspect gaming.
More careers and aspirations; In my opinion there should at least be one new career with every E.P and the occasional one with a gp. Even if they aren't that extensive like get to work or the pets vet career.
More ages; preteens, around retirement age, and maybe even a gap between the toddlers to the child, like the 5-9 years. Follow the stages of life. There's baby, terrible two's. the little bit older toddler years, like pre-K, elementary age (child), middle school(preteen), highschool(teen), college(college kid), ages 22-like 30 (young adult), ages 30-50(are adult), retirement ages like 55-70 would be something else and then elder would be 75 and up. IK it would be a lot of work, but think about it, teens-retirement age would all share the same clothing for the most part. It's literally just a matter of birthdays, u-i changes and one or two other technical things.
Along with that, more schools; daycare, pre-k, elementary, middle school, high school, college!!!!!!!!!. UNIVERSITY PLEASE!
Into the future or something like that; even just a tec. pack with better computers and more gaming stuff.

We all have kinda dealt with the idea that open wold is pretty much not happening. but cars? just an idea.; cars would be expensive to buy and you may have to pay a bills for it, public transportation; you'd pay for a bus pass or subway pass in the case of the city living world. Bikes; biking or walking would cost less but take more time to get somewhere, not like loading screen, but in-game time. and then if horses are a thing, there'd be riding.
Better build classification and stuff; custom apartments, the ability to make apartments with tenets each having to pay their own rent as in you having 4 sims to play with but all of them living in their own space and own lives. You could even maybe make "landlord" a career track. If you've ever tried to build four separate living spaces on one lot, you know there are issues. They try and all go to the same fridge even if they each have their own and the mailboxes/ bills are very limited.
Multiple elevators on 1 lot and the ability to lock them.; IRL there are floors that you cant get to without a key in elevators, like the basement of a hospital or whatever. So we should be able to lock elevator floors like we do with doors. That way we can have residential on top and a business down below.
Residential AND business lot; the two combined. So instead of just buying a junk lot, pooling all your money into a restaurant or store, and then living there anyways, allow us to have an all in 1.
These are just the ones that come off the top of my head! Opinions?

I agree we need beaches first before we get universities.
