Sage: *sees Fred go upstairs* "Has Fred had much time with Freddy? Does he want to hold him or anything?"
Julia: I don't think that's what's in his mind at the moment. *Feeling guilty. Am i distracting him from his own son?*
Sage: "I was just asking because y'don't always fall in love with your kid right away. It takes time. Fred hasn't been around Freddy much. A baby's a big change. Having him spend more time with your son might make communication between you better."
Julia: You're right... Hmm, Sage?
Sage: "Yes? You probably want your baby back, eh? Sorry 'bout that. He's very snuggly." *chuckles*
Julia: *giggles* It's okay. But, do you think Fred would have the chance to spend more time with Freddy if we were... *She doesn't finish the sentence*
Sage: "If you were what? A couple? Married?"
Julia: Yeah... Or at least together... *Feeling guilty *
*Freddy lets out another sigh*
Sage: "The most important thing is that Freddy is loved and that his parents are happy, whether that means they're together or not. My brother-in-law Santiago adopted a little girl by himself. He's a single parent, and that girl's as happy as a clam. She's a happy, healthy girl. Briar's best friend, actually."

*Julia walks over to them, looking down*

Sage: "He's sleeping again." *smiles, then frowns when she seems Julia* "What's going on?"
*Julia sighs*
Julia: I don't know anymore, Sage... Why do things have to change?

Sage: "Because if they didn't, life wouldn't happen."
Julia: You're right... *looks down again, thoughtful*

Sage: "If there wasn't change, then there'd be no death. Death results in birth. Freddy here is a big change, but he's a good one, right?" *still holding Freddy*
*Julia lights up just from hearing Freddy's name*
