Briar: "Betcha I didn't cry when I was a baby! Nuh-uh!" *Sage can vouch she cried just as much as any other baby *
Julia: No? *Giggles* I'm sure i did.
Sage: *overhearing conversation, has just walked into lounge* "You cried as a baby, Briar."
Briar: "Hey!"
Sage: *starts counting reasons on her fingers* "You cried when you were tired, hungry, needed a diaper change, or needed attention. Trust me, I know."
Briar: "Hmpf."
Sage: "You couldn't talk yet, so if you didn't cry, Papa an' I wouldn't have known what you needed!" *looks to Julia* "You'll figure out Freddy's different cries eventually. It's like a little, high-pitched language that tells you what they want."
Julia: *Giggles* I hope so. *Looking at Freddy, who's watching everyone*
Sage: "I promise. As Freddy gets older, his facial expressions will help too."
*Freddy looks at Sage*
Sage: *smiles and waves at Freddy* "Why hello there!"
*Freddy smiles*
Sage: *to Julia* "He's a sweet baby, y'know?"
Julia: He is. I hope he will keep being that way when he grows up.
Sage: "I'm sure he will be, with you an' Fred as parents!"
Julia: Thank you. I will do my best. I'm sure Fred will do too.
*She smiles at Sage, them and Freddy and gives him a kiss in the forehead*
Briar: *gets up from couch* "Was I a good baby?"
Sage: "You were." *smiles at Briar*
*Fred comes downstairs and walks into the lounge*
Fred: Julia, can we talk? It won't take long, i promise.
Julia: Hmm... Sure, but... How about Freddy? I have to watch over him.
Sage: "I can take care of him for awhile, if you'd like."
Julia: That would be great, Sage. Thank you *She hands him little Freddy*
