An option to turn off the various reactions (like the weather ones or the sniff food and bad smell) and idle animations they always do.

Farming and education, not only university but school and extracurricular activities, too.

Many things actually. I think for now I crave for university and more hobbies/free time activities along with more realistic traits and jobs to individualize sims.

I'd like to see hybrids. I know we can have human/alien hybrids currently, but I'd like to be able to mix occults without it messing up the game.

Hobbies, more child play interactions like cops and robbers or marco polo return along with dressing up boxes and tree houses....a return of some of the old NPC's, burglar, police (as in Sims 1) Fireman, smoke detectors are just lazy. Social workers rather than the green lantern magically zapping them away. I miss the quirks. I'm one of the few people who loved the gnomes in Sims 3 and I'd love to see gnomes able to draw ghosts ect again, it'd be great. The grabber machine from Sims 3. I really miss the sims 3 seasons activities set up on a public lot like face painting . More occults naturally and everything I've ever mentioned before for elder sims who have just been left to sit and die in this current game. Don't get me wrong I love the Sims 4, but elders really do need some more elder specific interactions and hobbies....stamp collecting, reminiscing about the good old days....anything! A few more clothes that suit that generation would be great too and not to sound like a broken record....terrain tools....

I've really been missing the extended interactions with the Teenagers in Sims 3 (after the Teen Style and University packs). I like that City Living offered some cross-over elements like the Protesters and such, but I miss the depth it used to give my family stories, to have young adulthood begin with leaving home and going off to college. I also miss being able to drive around the neighborhood in a car instead of joking that my Sims are calling an Uber.

Another thing that I'd like to see added that would be phenomenal: the Family Legacy, and Family Legends. I often play my people for a while, get bored, spend a ton of time overhauling them and their world with cheats, fill entire neighborhoods with original Sims, lose interest for a while, then come back and pick one of the various families. I'm not getting a story, I think. Or writing one. But that's what it feels like to me.

(I disable autonomy for complete control once the base game loads for the first time and leave it that way. First setting that changes, only one that never does again.)

I'm playing with virtual dolls, and I want to tell their stories, maybe share their legacy with others. I think Legacies would begin with a single Parent couple and their children at the beginning of a new game. The children move out, get married etc, but these stories are so complex and yet... almost entirely in the moment. Unless I make my Sims into shutterbugs (and I don't have much enthusiasm for taking pics in real life) there's nothing else. Just an endless linear story-line, boring as a soap opera. That's where Legends could come in. It would be the significant milestones and achievements that personalize the Sims even more, like standing up to a vampire, dating a ghost, or catching super-rare fish, ad infinitum. It would be a record of a specific family - so much more depth, like Stories, only far more expanded. Also, kids+ would be able to boast about the achievements of their family members.

    Just a few ideas.

For the Doctor career, a patient list showing urgency and order of service would be nice, patients would be treated more timely and with less drama. No way to tell who was there first or who is most severe right now.

Casinos would be cool! Sims should be able to gamble and win or lose. It could also open up additional games within the game.

The sewing machine and pottery wheel from Sims 2. I especially enjoyed the way you could make the custom outfits on the machine. Also, a colour spectrum tool so we can make clothes and furniture match.

Witches, Werewolves (also include Moon cycles), Fairies, and Genies; They can be done in their own packs so as to give them as good as the vampires.
University or some other form of higher education, and not where they disappear off in some rabbit hole.
Ability to have a funeral event in the party section.
Firemen, I know this one probably won't happen, but still, I'd love to see those guys make a return.
Seeing toddlers come (to certain types of lots, would require a toddler-friendly lot trait) with their family members who are not currently being played by the player.
    Some new traits, and aspirations

And most important, fixing a whole lot of glitches and bugs.

There are many features I'd love to have in game; some of them are:

    - Futuristic /alien style for furniture, like the Sci Fi Shuttle in Sims Freeplay. I heard some ideas about a distopyan world and reptilian aliens, and all that could fit together with martial and sword art (hobbies/skills from child to elder), military career, rabbit hole random battles, old broken furniture fixed to work, like a broken tv used as radio, or a broken chair used as coffee table, etc...

    - A "Throught the Ages" expansion pack. We need more medieval, ancient, and nomad options in order to use less cc. Also a pack about travelling to East Asia and Orient with modern/ old furniture would be great. Something related to time travel and have adventures, like in Sims 2.

    - Modern/old japanese style./ spooky like the houses on Sims Freeplay. I miss the blood bathtub.

    - Full-time plant sims, that can use any hairstyle (as well some "flowered" ones that any sim could use would be welcome). I liked them so much in Sims 2...

    - Different height sims: spots for orcs/gegants, elves, hobbits, dwarves, gobblins...

    - Detailed ears in CAS, so that you can make them pointed, rounded (Shreck ears), etc.

    - On/off attraction system like in Sims 2.

    - Terrain tools like the ones in Sims 2. Spiral, L-shaped staircases, ladders, no-just-decor elevators for all houses, where sims could also woohoo.

    - Fame system and new careers: model, photograph, dancer, acting... New and different musical instruments. Ballet hobbie/skill from child to elder.

    - New sports and new different sport machines and dumbells. New athletic aspirations and careers.

    - A farming expansion pack. Features related by @BooV7227 are amazing.

    - Not fan of university, but playable grade and highschools where children and teenagers could develope skills could be great.

    Thank you.

And a colourwheel, I don't mind texture, as I like the cartoonish style, but I need it for hair, skin tones, eyes, walls and furniture matching.

    houseboats (live in and build)
    islands
    scuba diving
    canning station

fashion designer with shop and sell-able clothes
    farmers with farm animals
    Victorian era items and hair
driving (but with cars very limited in game so it will not lag like TS3)
    spiral stairways
    baby and toddler strollers
    toddlers in groups options
Dr. appointments to go with doctor career
animals not listed as part of 8 in household like in TS3 because we cannot control them
sim vitals visible with control panel more compact (it gets in the way of seeing the game)
better picture option (better zooming pose etc)
    photography career
control over our own sims story-lines without the game changing it
    neighborhood gathering options
    teenager character development
    pet breeding career
    rural neighborhood part of map
and of course babies that are not objects

I would love to be able to have more interaction with common and decorative objects like cabinets and side table drawers (hide stuff, go through, etc) and also would like to be able to read the journal entries my Sim writes (I like what you guys come up with for the book descriptions, I'm sure the journal entry generator would be a riot).

An awesome interaction for angry Sims would be Break A Glass or Smash A Plate in the kitchen. More dramatic interactions instead of this placid/passive basis. Even the wackier traits have become stale; new traits and more interactive careers would be fabulous.

And I'm going to repeatedly add that I eagerly await the expansion of the Teen life phase and the addition of University to each of my posts. Because annoyance, I find, is a great motivator. And Teens should get out of school earlier in the day than Children. I mean even a Teen with the Genius and Active traits equipped still has a hard time keeping up with chores, needs, developing relationships, maintaining good grades and having a part-time job. Give 'em a break. Have a heart.

I posted yesterday about being able to keep some kind of record for a Sim family, and the Journal thing could be a solution if it's too much to generate the entries. I want to be able to look back on, interact with and reminisce with others on the journeys my Sims go through. Again, there's just not enough depth to the game play as it is.
