Can this be fixed? EA Maxis Libraries Do Not Spawn Skill Books

Suggestion: Make the library specific bookcase available for all libraries.
Even if the DeBug or bb.showhiddenobjects code needs to be used.
The only Library that spawns all the books including skill books is the one in Willow Creek.
All the EA / Maxis libraries only have the basic few books available in the residential bookcases.
The specific library bookcase is not available unless you happen to know the code to use to spawn one.
There is a workaround which I have shared elsewhere.
But why don't the game libraries in the added EPs automatically have all the books?

I made the mistake of having my Sim on the sidewalk. The Library Bookcase spawned there and could not be moved or deleted.

Does anyone else have this issue? I was hopeful that because it is part of an EP the Windenburg Library would have the same books as the Willow Springs library. I checked all the different bookcases but none had anything other than the few basic books of a residential one. Very frustrating if you take your Sims to the library or want to build one of your own.

Hello.
It would be great to have the bookcase that has the skill books, in each of the libraries in the worlds.
It may perhaps be good to move your thread to the Sims 4 Feedback section of the forums?
On the other hand, it is a game issue that the bookcase is not in each library.

I debated on where to put this thread. It is an annoyance to have to use a special code to get the right books.

I started a new game, opened the Library lot, and moved all the bookcases into a room that I uploaded to my library. Now I just use that instead of the cheat. I just wish they could be recolored.

So when you do that I assume you used the Willow Creek Library to get the books? Does it work in a different save? When placing the room in ... for example ... the Windenburg Library ... do all bookcases on that lot work properly / generate skill books?

Yes, I took the bookcases from the Willow Creek library. It works in other saves. I would not know if it works in Windenburg, as I didn't buy GT.

They work in Windenburg. IIRC I uploaded a mini-room with a library bookcase to the Gallery. There are probably others there too.

It is great that you were able to save the Willow Creek bookcases to use in another Library. Thank you both for the replies. I will give your ideas a try.

I took @RealPollyMogs idea and it works a treat on all bookshelves in all venues from residential to library to general to Zerbu's Highschool lots: any bookshelf and any lot. All you need to do is put a single bookshelf from the Original Willow Creek library somewhere on your lot. You don't even need access to the bookshelf you can just dump it hidden away in a lower level. All the books that spawn in the Willow Creek library will then spawn on all bookshelves on your chosen lot. Easy peasy!

Just to make life super simple, I uploaded a room with bookshelves to the gallery. Now, whenever I edit a lot I download the bookshelf sized room and chuck it into the lower level all tucked away neatly.

Just in case you want to grab my room instead of making your own it is called "Bookshelves - Skill Books" or it can be found with my Origin ID.

I'm sure others have uploaded the same bookshelves to the gallery but when I found them I was never sure what books they actually contained or would make spawn.

It seems the code to generate the special library bookcase has been deactivated.
An alternative method is to save one of the bookcases from the original Willow Creek library to a room. This one bookcase can be placed on any lot designated as a library.
This will spawn all the current level one skill books in any bookcase on the lot.
