Wow! @chips46@emere both of your rooms are absolutely stunning! I haven't had a look in game, but from the pictures they are beautiful! @chips46 I love all the nooks you created in the space and the fish on the wavy walls, it really does look like it's under water. And @emere I love the way you divided the room up, and all the plant life you put in, it looks like coral and seaweed and stuff.
I also really like your room @RivendellStar, it looks like a bohemian yet formal mermaid room, very cool style The water feature in the middle is a really nice effect.
Everyone's entries for this challenge have been so creative and so different, it's been an awesome first challenge to be part of and to see what everyone came up with Great job people!
Hello @undressyourbones if you don't have the pack you can certainly use your creativity to make one. Just mention in your entry form you don't have the spa pack so things like yoga mat or meditation stools etc are made by you and not useable in the traditional sense. Hope that helps
hi everyone just wanted to let you know results will be up this weekend havind hectic week and i dont want to rush through the judging sorry for the delay but i feel its fairer if i judge them properly
Hi @Cbear13 I usually take more time to do my rooms, but this time I really wanted to do this entry so I finish something more simple. Next week I will have a dental surgery so I will take advantage of that to send my simming PC to service, I'm having some issues and the PC is still new I hope both, me and my PC, will be fixed soon I will try to say hello from a weak laptop lol (still good to do some work, but no for sims). It is a simple garden but I hope it is relaxing enought for you (well, ice cream is kind of relaxing, yay):
Hello @emere I hope that your dental surgery goes as smoothly as possible. I send hugs to you I hope that pain that you may have from it will ease very quckly.
I hope that the issues with your simming computer will also be resolved.
Relaxing garden is such a very pretty and restful build! The design and furnishing of the various areas of it looks very nice! The water fountain is a very nice feature in the middle of the build! The frog fountains and the turtle prints on the water there look great! The greenery covered pergola looks very nice! Sims will enjoy sitting resting there in the armchairs having an icecream and a drink from the drinks tray in the outdoors air. The candles and flowers are pretty on the coffee table . The floor patterning looks very nice. Sims will enjoy watching the birds coming to the bird feeder. Very nice yoga and meditation area! Sims will enjoy quietly doing yoga on the mat or meditating on the meditation stool, under the shade of the pretty lantern lights tree. The bunny is cute! Very nice seat bench sitting area for sims to rest there and have a drink. Very nice hot tub nook! Sims will enjoy relaxing in the tub. The flowers in the build look very pretty!
It is a calming place to enjoy spending time
I really appreciate your good wishes @rosemow I'm a little nervous but I was able to plan everything (even my sims building lol). In a few weeks I will have a more relaxing time (like the garden yay). Thanks!
for this challenge, i didn't have a yoga mat or meditation stool that you can interact
with because i don't have certain packs...so i've put items to represent those things.
hopefully i've done well. the mats i put in the room look a lot like tatami mats, so i have
them representing yoga mats.
the small 'stool' in front of the center fountain is meant to be the meditation stool. (it's a shelf)
i wanted my garden to transport you to dense, thick bamboo forest, cut off from the world.
looking up , only seeing the sky with nothing blocking the view.
tried using terrain paints, but it doesn't upload with the room so it may not be technically
correct in that aspect.
thanks for looking at my entry! (:

s'Eralc Garden looks so very pretty! The name of the room is very great! The flowers through the garden looks very lovely and colouful! The water fountain feature in the middle of the room looks very nice! The lantern lights tree looks pretty in the garden It looks great how the wall dividers that have the circles in them are used in the room. Very nice nook area for sims to enjoy relaxing in the massage chair having a restful massage under the shade of the umbrella. The heater lamp light will keep sims warm there. The bunny is cute! Sims will enjoy looking at the birds coming to the bird feeder. The zen decor items are restful touches in the build. Very nice meditation area for sims to enjoy quietly meditating on the stool in a very nice floral setting! The pedestal of flowers and the spinning flower look very nice.
It is such a very nice and pretty floral garden!
Zen Hide-Away is very nice! @undressyourbones The flowers bordering the edges of the room looks very pretty! Very nice nook area for sims to enjoy quietly doing yoga on the mats or mediating on the stool , in a very nice calming floral setting! It is nice that you have placed substitute items. Nice corner nook area for sims to sit on the mat and have a drink of tea. The teaset is a nice touch there and the low table looks great! The round water fountain and flowers in it looks very pretty! The other roof topped water fountains are very nice also. Nice seat bench sitting areas for sims to sit and relax in the outdoors area.
It is a very nice restful hide away
@undressyourbones so sorry for the late reply as lisa said just be creative if you dont have the packs. Your garden looks beautiful now if only I could get to it in real life haha
@emere gorgeous garden and I hope your dentist visit goes well, and hopefully your pc is all fixed soon goodluck for the dentist
@cbear13 Does the rule regarding objects intersecting apply to landscaping plants- well, I assume it applies to some extent, lol but is there any leeway at all. I'm worried about this one leaf- no really.
@JasonAnthonySterling there is no strict line when it comes to plants against plants and its a bit of a tough one to explain but I will try my best haha
Generally we wont critique plants sticking into plants unless it looks very obvious for example a large broad leaf and then flowers sticking through it but mixing up things like grass and putting wild flowers mixed with it is fine.
Another example would be dont clump big plants to closely such as ferns and bigger flowers so that it looks like they are sticking through the fern leaves.
We are more interested in plants not sticking through solid objects like rocks, fences, walls etc..... than plants into plants. We are pretty lenient on them but if your not sure just take a screenshot and post or message me and I will tell you if we would critique or not
@Cbear13 It does help- it's a really minor matter and I'm not sure it would be noticed- NO, I'm sure it would be cause the judges have Eagle eyes LOL! In general I think i have everything space out and a Zen garden lends itself to doing that as opposed to say an English garden but I did see one very small flaw when zoomed all the way in on TAB view. I think it'll be okay. Thanks!
Haha @JasonAnthonySterling we have been working on not being overly picky while still being picky hahaha some of these girls though do have eagle eyes they amaze me with things they spot that even I miss lol
We try not to get the microscope out while judging though that might be going a bit to far
A private space for relaxation. There is a small grouping for guests should they stop by- NEAR THE DOOR, lol- Do yoga, meditate or have a luxurious massage- ALL BY YOURSELF (well, expect for the massage guy of course... or girl, unless you really wanted a guy and then that's what the cas.fulleditmode cheat is for). Not much to explain here. I think everything is pretty easy to understand (my famous last thoughts). I have placed candles within the sand in the little "sand garden box thing" to appear as though the flame is coming up from the sand. A bit like pebble fireplaces. It works pretty well but when you zoom in on extreme close up you can see the tops of the candle bowls as the graphics shift for some reason on extreme close up and the depth of the sand in the box drops (yeah, I don't know why either). I think it still looks good and I'm usually not in that close but there it is. I placed the little Fu Dog in the sand as well... he needed a litter box, just try not to dig around in it too much. If you get bored being bored you can fish and look for frogs in the pond!
Edit: I also intended for the extra panel on the ground shelf to right side of the meditation stool to appear to be built in, that's why it's colored the same as the other pieces around it. Part of Zen gardening is a tenet about balance through asymmetry and creating a slightly different look to the shelf opposite the other one I felt helped achieve that. There's other examples through the build of placement being somewhat off center as compared to what's opposite it.
Edit: I'll add again cause I'm just not sure I'm clear enough in my design sometimes- lol. Another tenet of Zen is the incomplete circle, like the wall design from the Spa Day pack. I've tried to allude to that by placing the pond off center and blocking the ability to walk a complete circle around it helping fulfill that idea. Just in case it doesn't quite make sense when viewing it from above or play testing. The circular nature of the pond alone is pushing it and I tried to add some stones along it at one point to break it further- ha!
Contemplation Square looks very peaceful and calming! @JasonAnthonySterling The lilypads and water fountains look nice in the pond. Very nice meditation nook! It looks nice that sims are facing the pond whilst sitting on the meditation stool, and the vases and candles are nice touches in the area. The scent of the incense would be nice for sims to smell when sitting there. The flowers look so very pretty in the garden! . Very nice stools sitting nook. Sims will enjoy sitting resting there under the shade of the nice lantern lights tree. Nice massage nook area. The bamboo plants are nice touches in the vase near the table. Sims will like having a restful massage there.
It looks a very nice and restful place for sims to enjoy spending time in

Thanks for presenting these challenges!
I don't have the Spa Pack so I don't have an actual yoga mat you can interact with...
can I put a mat down to represent one? same with the stool ?
Thank you!
