Okay so I need to go get groceries so I'll probably post the renovations to Johnny's place after I come back. In the meantime, Maria has been getting a bit chummy with Johnny and also Harlow so question came to my mind: Should Maria try to get with someone or stay single?
First we have Johnny Zest who she has been really good friends with, although could be because she was feeling a bit sad for him and was happy to renovate his trailer.
We have Harlow Vlorn, the single Dad whom she always tries to talk to when he passes by. And I mean autonomously, not by my doing. Maybe it's because they're neighbours at the moment, but even in Windenburg she wanted to chat him up at the coffee shop.
And then we have Don Lothario that always seems to show up running around her place and gave that creepy look in the coffee house.
And we also have Bob Pancakes, who is pretty much the opposite of Maria and is also married, but was sizing her up like a club sandwich. On the other hand, as Maria goes out a lot, he probably wouldn't mind. That and Maria just wants to gain money, not a fancy house.
Finally, we have Mr. Random. As in maybe we should wait and see who else shows up?
So what you guys think? Should Maria try for it between her projects? Or should she just stay single and continue on as usual.

Haha yes, he got lucky there I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly became pregnant again though. So I had Maria move back to Bitty Boho for now as it was late and I wanted her a place to sleep that wasn't someone else's house that we were building. In the case of our next customer though, it's just renovations.
Customer #4: Johnny Zest
For this story, Johnny saw Maria's work on Ava's place and asked her to see about some renovations to his trailer.
Looking for:
- Just renovations. No adding or subtracting from the building itself.
- Landscaping is allowed

Before we work on Johnny's place, we had to get rest for the night. Before that though, Maria decided she wanted to read a book.
And then decided that reading outside might be nicer.
The next morning we had the welcome wagon...right when Maria was showering. As there is only one neighbour in Newcrest, it was obviously Harlow. I may move her to the future business district so we can avoid future welcome wagons. If I keep moving her back and forth, I don't need Harlow coming over each time.
No need to try and call her, she'll be out in a bit. Do you seriously want to see her naked?....Uh...Don't answer that.

They eventually moved over to the living room to chat, the welcome wagon visit still going on. Oddly enough, neither Johnny or Harlow brought fruit cake. Then again, I still got Sakura over in Main Save with that bug so maybe it's not a bad thing.
I gave Maria the "Always Welcome" trait as she had accumulated a lot of points from our building contracts. I guess it affects her reaction to other people too as Harlow just went into our fridge and grabbed the last grilled cheese.
I know the visit is over, Harlow, but you should know better than to leave it on the floor. There's a free table over there in the kitchen.
After the visit, we went to see Johnny and his trailer.
He was actually outside on his tablet reading something. He was really focused.
Aw! This Johnny Zest actually became an entertainer!! If you read his backstory, he actually wanted to become a comedian, Johnny Zest being a stage name after the Landgraabs kicked him out. Poor guy.
Maria steps in and ooohhh....I think we know why he needs a renovation. I know it's a trailer, but good mighty it needs a unicorn to fart some rainbows on it. Or at least colors other than storm grey and sick sea blue. We can work something with this red and gold though.

Now then, time to make the Johnny Zest's trailer from Drab Flab into Dab Fab! First things to go! The mod pod sleeper bed and the...ugh...level 1 appliances. With $15,000. We can do so much better.
I will say now that I did this a bit different. I didn't have Maria and Johnny move around, as I didn't want Johnny to lose his job if he ended up being played. Instead I just built, manually calculating the funds on my phone.
Sprinklers are a must. Actually found out they're supposed to go on the outside wall, not inside.
Even if the colors are brown and yellow or gold, they can add so much to a room!
With the extra money from the renovations, we added a pool! When living in the desert, you need some means of cooling off, and sometimes other than air conditioning.
I know it doesn't look like much, but this is a lot more pop than before. That and Johnny even has more sitting space for guests. I tried four chairs to a table, but it made everything look crowded.
I sent Maria home to get some food. She made excellent mac & cheese and this is only her second time cooking!
Well can't say that your folks aren't making you work, Malcolm. But man I wanna slap that snooty look off your face!
Figured Maria should try this movie thing. We watched that "Diamonds Are Forever" or something one. She chose it, not me.
She was crying in this shot, although at what part I have no idea. I didn't declare it her fav. I may watch others and see her reactions. Would be nice if they could kinda do this autonomously.
And while she watched her movie, I got distracted by Twiggy fishing in the pond across the road.

So after the cafe I figured sending Maria over to Johnny's place to see what he thought of it. To our surprise, he was already at the cafe! So we found him and chatted. "Yeah it ain't bad. Thanksa bunch!"

And then the two hug. Aw. what an ending.
Next time, we give Maria a break and send her out to the bar. Will the business lady get lucky or will she find that maybe success is only for a party of one.

Cool I'll have to check them out. Yeah it get addictive going CC shopping. I've wiped my mod folder so many times to give my Sims a fresh start sometimes with hairs. I don't know why I'm having a harder time with finding clothing CC I like this time though. It is hard finding the right color, pattern, or style I'm interested in for my Sims. I was very happy with the CAS that came with GT especially the ombre hair color. Yeah I don't drive much myself either.

I just got that one. It is really nice. You can set the hour in which a Sim wakes up. I guess if you have two Sims, you might need two alarm clocks, one drawback of it, but it wakes up the Sims really well. It has improved my experience quite a bit since getting it. So I'd recommend it.

Now it's time for more from the Northwest Family.
When I loaded the play session this happened! Pacifica Mable was asleep but I rushed to get her up to run out and meet her mom but Pacifica turned and left right away even though it was only midnight in game. I have a sneaking suspicion that the ghosts might be bugged for some reason all they do when they spawn is stand in this spot. I do have their urns in a basement but before I renovated the house I had that too and Mitchell spawned just fine. The only differences this time is that I don't have the fenced area around the upper part of the memorial house and have the door locked on that directly rather then having a gate locked like I previously did. I'm not sure that would mess with their ability to spawn properly or not. I guess next time I play I'll put up a fence around the memorial area and lock that to see if it fixes the problem. If not I guess I can try putting the their tombstones above ground.
The next morning it's Steven's birthday! I have Mable do a bit more bonding with him before we aged him up.
And this is what the game chose to age him up into. Ugh...my eyes...why game? Why must you hate me so?
Steven post makeover. The game aged him up in purple (and orange and green and yellow) but I decided just this once that I would choose a favorite color myself and decided it would be red in honor of he shirt his namesake always wear.
Steven is a very interesting mix of genetics. He's got dark hair but it's lighter then his father's hair (which I did not change when I gave his human disguise a makeover) and also lighter than Mitchell's was so he's not pulling it from there his facial features are much more sharply alien in nature then his sister's. Next time I'm in CAS I'll have to remove Jace's human disguise and compare him to his son just to see how much Steven pulls from him.
Jace now needs to perform 50 romantic interactions with his soulmate for his aspiration so we get started on that. Such a hardship for these two I'm sure lol.
I just really like how this one turned out.

I suppose I could always use the CAS cheat to reset his age but...eh...)
Tormenting Mal actually doesn't go very well for Steven. He does make Mal mad but he embarrasses himself in the process. Steven's needs are tanking at this point so I have him leave Mal alone to go inside to take care of them.
After he's done taking care of his needs he goes and pesters his mother (who is trying to write) to work on his social some more.
Then his sister gets home and he goes to pester meet her instead.

I guess we know who is going to take over the role of making the best facial expressions now that Grenda is gone.
They become BFF's. I think Partners in Crime would be more fitting but I have to keep that one open just in case Pearl ends up in the criminal career since you need that for that and I don't know if you can switch it like you can BFFs or if it will count if it was made with someone when she was a child.
Homework done these two watch some Kids TV together. Mostly I just posted this to show off the complete portrait set up of the living room. It will probably stay like this from now until I redo the room (or move the family gain whichever comes first) just update the pictures as time goes by.

We start off the day with a morning cult meeting, Grim wanted Brenda to start it as crazy as he is wishing for a new world order he is sane enough to really care about her. He's out of his element but he wants her to help him run it and hopefully she will fall for him and give him a son to take over. Brenda arrives first and starts cooking for everyone.
Grim calls it a relaxed day so he dresses like his minions and gives them to act how they please, Brenda decides to give him her number.
The other minions are working on paintings to honor their leader, Brenda wants to do a paining but first she does a little cleaning as the others don't know how. lol
As the meeting comes to an end Brenda makes her way out last, though she spent a lot of time with Grim and she doesn't really want to leave.
Grim finished the dishes that she missed, she was all over his mind he has a bit of obsession really.
I moved the camera and saw that she chose not to leave, and as I was controlling Grim this amuses me even more the others were ready to leave knowing that this was the last night they would have with their families. Grim was packing up to take the Goth house and he had it nearly prepared for all of them.
This is the part of the house they should use the most.
While everyone was asleep I saw that Alice was hungry and sent her to the fridge but she didn't get anything, I went looking and found the nut job hiding behind the book case. I don't know how she clipped through the wall to get stuck but she was in the bathroom before ah well, unfortunately for her should Brenda become Grim's love things will be tough before they hate one another.
Only a bathroom separates them...hehe

I will say now that I did this a bit different. I didn't have Maria and Johnny move around, as I didn't want Johnny to lose his job if he ended up being played. Instead I just built, manually calculating the funds on my phone.
Sprinklers are a must. Actually found out they're supposed to go on the outside wall, not inside.
Even if the colors are brown and yellow or gold, they can add so much to a room!
With the extra money from the renovations, we added a pool! When living in the desert, you need some means of cooling off, and sometimes other than air conditioning.
I know it doesn't look like much, but this is a lot more pop than before. That and Johnny even has more sitting space for guests. I tried four chairs to a table, but it made everything look crowded.
I sent Maria home to get some food. She made excellent mac & cheese and this is only her second time cooking!
Well can't say that your folks aren't making you work, Malcolm. But man I wanna slap that snooty look off your face!
Figured Maria should try this movie thing. We watched that "Diamonds Are Forever" or something one. She chose it, not me.
She was crying in this shot, although at what part I have no idea. I didn't declare it her fav. I may watch others and see her reactions. Would be nice if they could kinda do this autonomously.
And while she watched her movie, I got distracted by Twiggy fishing in the pond across the road.
Then we went to the cafe as usual. The glasses are just for show, Mr. Landgraab?
Maria was talking to Harlow when this happened. Whoops!
So after the cafe I figured sending Maria over to Johnny's place to see what he thought of it. To our surprise, he was already at the cafe! So we found him and chatted. "Yeah it ain't bad. Thanksa bunch!"
Awkward...
"Yeah, yeah. Don't mind her. If she wants her place done up, she can pay for it."
And then the two hug. Aw. what an ending.
Next time, we give Maria a break and send her out to the bar. Will the business lady get lucky or will she find that maybe success is only for a party of one.

I don't know why no matter what iteration there is, I become obsessed with hair CC the most. Makeup too. It is just amazing all the creations the Sims community can do. They are really talented.
That's nice you have snow, but I could see how it could making grocery shopping harder. I just went to Costco myself today. It snowed here once but it didn't stay for too long. I want it to snow again. I hope chores and errands go well for you.

Oh the snow wasn't too much trouble. The fact that no one was on to run the grocery van was though. I don't drive, much like our SIms...lol...so I usually ask if they have the van on standby. No one was on so major groceries will have to wait til Monday. XP
I knows all about CC hair obsession. If you go back a bit, my main elder Emma took forever to make in CAS because I was trying to find hair close to her style from TS2. Same with my sim Sakura, although I still never did find anything close, but the short neat look fits him well. He's back there somewhere too.

The next morning it's Steven's birthday! I have Mable do a bit more bonding with him before we aged him up.
And this is what the game chose to age him up into. Ugh...my eyes...why game? Why must you hate me so?
Steven post makeover. The game aged him up in purple (and orange and green and yellow) but I decided just this once that I would choose a favorite color myself and decided it would be red in honor of he shirt his namesake always wear.
Steven is a very interesting mix of genetics. He's got dark hair but it's lighter then his father's hair (which I did not change when I gave his human disguise a makeover) and also lighter than Mitchell's was so he's not pulling it from there his facial features are much more sharply alien in nature then his sister's. Next time I'm in CAS I'll have to remove Jace's human disguise and compare him to his son just to see how much Steven pulls from him.
Jace now needs to perform 50 romantic interactions with his soulmate for his aspiration so we get started on that. Such a hardship for these two I'm sure lol.

Steven aged up too late to go to school today so I have one of his parents snap this picture of him and then send him out to harass passerbys for his aspiration.

(I'm seriously going to miss Mal when he's gone he is hands down my favorite Sim to torment and soon he's not going to be with us anymore. I'm half tempted to keep him Forever alive via Youth Potions but...that's too much work for someone who's not actually in my household. I really wish Sims 4 had an Age Freeze potion like 3 did. I suppose I could always use the CAS cheat to reset his age but...eh...)
Tormenting Mal actually doesn't go very well for Steven. He does make Mal mad but he embarrasses himself in the process. Steven's needs are tanking at this point so I have him leave Mal alone to go inside to take care of them.
After he's done taking care of his needs he goes and pesters his mother (who is trying to write) to work on his social some more.
Then his sister gets home and he goes to pester meet her instead.
Ugh so cute. I can't handle the cute.
I guess we know who is going to take over the role of making the best facial expressions now that Grenda is gone.
They become BFF's. I think Partners in Crime would be more fitting but I have to keep that one open just in case Pearl ends up in the criminal career since you need that for that and I don't know if you can switch it like you can BFFs or if it will count if it was made with someone when she was a child.
Homework done these two watch some Kids TV together. Mostly I just posted this to show off the complete portrait set up of the living room. It will probably stay like this from now until I redo the room (or move the family gain whichever comes first) just update the pictures as time goes by.
Since I spent the day working on Steven's aspiration I have Pearl work a little on her's before she heads to bed.

Jace spams the romantic interactions over a late dinner together before they both head to bed themselves.

We start off the day with a morning cult meeting, Grim wanted Brenda to start it as crazy as he is wishing for a new world order he is sane enough to really care about her. He's out of his element but he wants her to help him run it and hopefully she will fall for him and give him a son to take over. Brenda arrives first and starts cooking for everyone.
Grim calls it a relaxed day so he dresses like his minions and gives them to act how they please, Brenda decides to give him her number.
The other minions are working on paintings to honor their leader, Brenda wants to do a paining but first she does a little cleaning as the others don't know how. lol
As the meeting comes to an end Brenda makes her way out last, though she spent a lot of time with Grim and she doesn't really want to leave.
Grim finished the dishes that she missed, she was all over his mind he has a bit of obsession really.
I moved the camera and saw that she chose not to leave, and as I was controlling Grim this amuses me even more the others were ready to leave knowing that this was the last night they would have with their families. Grim was packing up to take the Goth house and he had it nearly prepared for all of them.
This is the part of the house they should use the most.
While everyone was asleep I saw that Alice was hungry and sent her to the fridge but she didn't get anything, I went looking and found the nut job hiding behind the book case. I don't know how she clipped through the wall to get stuck but she was in the bathroom before ah well, unfortunately for her should Brenda become Grim's love things will be tough before they hate one another.
Only a bathroom separates them...hehe
