Today I started building the wedding place I mentioned before. I'm using the items from both wedding sets from the store and Generations! The building itself looks a bit weird if you ask me, but it took so long to make it, I decided to work on its inside and it's actually starting to look pretty good! It is good that the Brunch is now CYS enabled, you would think EA would post the news so that more people could take advantage of it ... or maybe not!

You're so welcome. I just start from where I left off (basically) on certain gifting threads and even if you don't say something like "Hey can anyone help me with [insert set/compilation here]?" I'll just search out your wishlist and just give some presents. I'm fortunate enough to be one of us who's able to generate lots of bonus points. Roughly 2/3 of my purchase history is of gifts I've given out. Don't ever hesitate to ask me for anything you want from the store, even worlds or venues that you might otherwise think "Oh, that's too expensive. I couldn't possibly ask for that much..." It would make me nothing but vomit-inducing happy to bring a little bit of sunshine into your day.
As for the expansion packs I'm quite the opposite from your game. I have Showtimeand I LOVE it. When Supernatural was announced I said "Meh, I'll pass. This doesn't really look like something I'm quite into." But after seeing so many other players having such great experiences (I like to look at the My Page custom memories; some folks take amazing photos and write really good stories) I think I may be changing my attitude towards Supernatural. Especially with some of the store content looking like it would really compliment that sort of fantasy theme. I guess because I pretty much try to live vicariously through my Sims (I have a pretty rough life that I sometimes just need escape from) I try to make their lives realistic and super-duper happy so I feel like at least someone is doing great. I'd highly recommend Showtime if you can find a used copy cheap enough. I can also vouch for GreenManGaming.com as a legit source for digital downloads or game keys. Sometimes they put on sales that discount games so steeply I'm not quite sure how they're even able to turn a profit. Anyway, enough of my half-coherent rambling. Let me know if there's something in particular you need help with from the store and it shall be done...just like that. ::snaps fingers::

There are other vanues I'd like but I feel bad for putting them on my wish list. I'm already set on two venues I'm going to get for myself on the DD because they're very good deals and just the venues I want. First is the Lucky Simoleon Casino and the other is The Duke of Bows Renaissans Faire Regency Arcade and Stones Throw Greenhouse I'm going to get by completing Compilations
So 4 venues I'm going to get by myself for sure(with the help of generous simmers for the compilations, already helped me a lot ).
There are other venues I'd like... Especially the World of Wonder. It reminds me of Sims 1, Makin' Magic and Vacation.
Worlds aren't a problem for now. The two worlds that interest me the most are Dragon Valley and Hidden Springs, but because Hidden Springs comes in a World Bundle, I might buy the world bundle, but I'm not sure.

Is it new that the Brunch at the Old Mill is in the complete your set? If it is, maybe we should let more people know. They can use this discount and then get the set on the DD for less.
Don't know if it's still on, but Amazon had SHOWTIME on sale, less than half price ... might be worth a look. There were other Sims3 games also.

Problem is my computer is quite old, so I'm trying to be selective with what expansion packs I get. I already have 3 expansion packs, so I hope another one won't slow my game. It's already slow... however, it runs the same as it did when I only had the base game. The only difference is that now I disabled the mirrors' reflection, which doesn't bother me so much.
Another thing is... When I buy expansion packs they have to be on disk because I like to display the boxes on my shelf. It just feels nice this way, I don't know So... all this explanation to say that I have to get Supernatural first in order to see if my game can survive another expansion pack. But you're right that the carnival theme suites Show Time, there's also a premium set -I forgot its name- that fits Show Time.

I read that Cletic Lands comes with the disk version of Dragon Valley/or that from origin, so maybe I should wait for it to go on sale there Last year they did a huge sale so maybe they'll do it again.
If Amazon still have their offer on, Supernatural on DVD was about half price. I had to get a new PC to play Seasons, my old one just couldn't manage it ... all that snow I expect!

✿I think that you already know what I'm going to say, that you're a generous person, that you're super nice, and that you helped me. All of these things are true, but I'd also like to say something new. Something beyond expressing my appreciation. Being a part of this community taught me something very valuable that I am still learning. I always try to count on myself, this is usually my prefered choice. I feel uncomfortable asking others for favors. It's because I like to think of myself as indenpendent, but truth is, that sometimes it's hard to trust others, it's hard to be gifted. But I wouldn't be able to have these many items from the store without the community, without people like you. Being gifted made me more open. It makes me feel more deserved. If the store closes, and there will be no gifts, I'll be still using the gifts you've given me. The gifts have a meaning and it's about caring, and this caring is never ending and it's because it's about giving a part of yourself to other people. It's making us all think positive. @FoxyLovesKitty - Thank you for your lovely comments. We live in a world that is sometimes harsh and cruel, uncaring and unsympathetic. The Sims 3 Store, with the potential for gifting others, opens up one opportunity to show others that they are important, that someone cares. Even if we no longer need to buy SimPoints, it does take hours to rack those sponsored points up and hours upon hours is what make up the sum total of one life. When we give to others here, we are giving from our own life. When the store is long gone, I likewise will still be enjoying my Sims 3 game with all the oodles of store content and the precious memories of those who generously gave of themselves to me.
P.S. I do understand about how you feel about being independent. I had a bit of a struggle making any sort of wish list and thank God, I have not needed to do that for a few years.
I went to the Daily Deal page. Al Fresco Street Market was on there for 494sp. I knew it was the lowest price for it, so if I don't get it I would have to wait 3 and a half months to get it. But I said to myself that there's no need in it. It has nice items, but I don't necessarily want it. I want other things. So I clicked on Make Me an Offer. I never got deals I wanted in Make Me an Offer, it always offers me things I'm going to get anyway, things that are too expensive for me and so on. So I went through offer no.1,2,3,4. They were all actually pretty good. 40%+ off. That was nice. I didn't get any of them though.

Actually, the little harvest stands that come with (or separate from) the venue are first rate. They can be placed in any world and they give you a head start on produce because they offer better quality produce than you get from the local grocery. Also, they offer everything you have from different expansion packs, etc... Don't want to go to France for some special grapes? Go to the produce stand.
I didn't know that either @Reachsims, and I haven't used the stands before (but I will now!)

I love this thread, too. @mothersuperior2 - Cool! Glad to be the bearer of good news. Also, @FoxyLovesKitty - all of my Sims garden, because I like doing so but some of them eventually get around to becoming masters at producing some pretty good stuff from the vineyard. I take some of my best nectar to parties and serve it up there. Also, it's just pretty darn authentic to open up a bottle or two of wine for family and guests at home.

✿I of course... didn't expect this. I couldn't believe this. And it was so amazing, I didn't want to write a thank-you-note like I usually do... I wanted it to be special. I decided that the thank-you pictures this time would be screenshots from my game. This is why I disappeared all day I wanted to show you my game~
✿With this game session, I wanted to thank you for all you've done for me by showing you my sims enjoying your gifts. You can imagine how long it took to write all this, it's long, and the pictures are heavy. I tried to make it short, but you don't have to read everything, you may only look at the pictures if you like
✿I first went to Midnight Hollow. The world looked very grey, but it wasn't as dark as I thought it's going to be. I made my sim and picked a house. First thing I saw was those column fences, I didn't know they even existed, I looked for column fences like this for my Victorian houses but couldn't find anything but CC. Imagine my surprise! I'm so going to use them. Yesssss I took my sim to town, made her sit on a bench.
✿First thing she did? I forgot to make her neat... So it's my fault.
✿I gave her the green thumb trait so she could do some gardening. I wanted to try out the new market stands. I bought a tomato, an eggplant and renoit grapes so she could start her own garden. Sooo after going back home and taking a shower, some interesting neighbours came to visit. The blond one complimented her, but then I found out he was married
✿A lot of sims in this town look like ghosts too, they also have strange outfits. They look like they're the relatives of the Adams family.
I really love the way the houses look, they're so gothic and Victorian The Gothique Library looks very good in this world there too.
✿After I placed all of the venues in the world, I went to the toy shop. The toy shop is very cool. It comes with a lot of new toys and those large dolls are so creepy and cute at the same time I need my sims to collect them ahaha. I had to come back the next day so that I could go in, it was past closing time. The way the toys are displayed through the display windows is cool. I really like it~ I also got to see a ghost. It's rare isn't it? I don't know where he came from, it wasn't next to a graveyard.
✿The day after, my sim got to make some toys with the toy machine. She really enjoyed it! She got to make a cute baby mat. I wonder if it's playable? Even if it's only decor, it's very cute!

✿I should make a toy maker sim at some point. This machine has so many options!! I think my kid sims should be quite satisfied with this~

✿At Hidden Springs, I made a new male sim. I made him both natural cook and also virtuoso and neat. I picked him a nice pre-made house. I then added a second floor to the house, so now it doesn't look so nice anymore [it's unfinished]. I need him to make money so that I can finish it.
✿While exploring the new world, I noticed I couldn't see the waterfalls in the world. I figured it was because of my low settings. I made some adjustments to the settings, so now I can see trees from distance and see reflections. I can also see the waterfalls! They're very pretty. I hope my game would run better with these adjustments.
✿I also took my new sim to Business as Usual Bistro and he enjoyed eating there. It's a very modern and colourful building and it fits Hidden Springs because of its bright colours and overall feeling~ The lots in this world are very nice. They're hang-out places for sims to enjoy. It's like all of the sims are on a big vacation.
✿The sims in Hidden Springs are very friendly. But I noticed something strange, there are green sims in there too.
✿I didn't try the fountain of youth yet, I found it in buy mode though. It costs nearly half million simoleons! I should really place it at some park or build a chinese garden and put it in there. I want my adventurer sim to use it too. It would help a lot, while I'm trying to delay his aging. I did try to take a picture of my sim with a waterfall. It didn't work out so well so I apologize in advance
✿I just want to say that because the worlds look very different from each other, they do expand my game. Hidden Springs is bright and feels to me like a place that could attract tourists, it's just very tranquil, it got nice surroundings, beautiful waterfalls and so on It comes with very nicely designed items and clothing. I really like the clothing~ Midnight Hollow is very gothic-Victorian. It's very grey, but it's not actually dark. I think it looks dark because of the colour scheme. When I get Supernatural, it would be a good place for fantasy creatures to live in. Stories with monsters would fit it too. Also, a lot of Victorian houses that I'm going to make. I already made yesterday a starter Victorian house. I'm still working on a big one for a contest. Those fences from Midnight Hollow are going to help me a lot with this~ It comes with lots of additional items, build and buy, and also CAS. It's pretty great!
✿And finally, I didn't notice this, but I made my Midnight Hollow sim wear Hidden Springs outfit, and my Hidden Springs sim to have Midnight Hollow hairstyle

@Reachsims Thank you! Most of my sims don't garden, because I don't like gardening so much in game. It just takes too long and I'm impatient. I do end up having gardens though. I made a new sim [above] with the green thumb trait, so she's going to have a big garden and then I'll use the stand to sell her produce. It did have the grapes from France as you said I also noticed that the Street Market added a new dish, it's eggplant and lemon lasagna.

I just had to go back to Aurora skies to replace the fences in my Victorian house. The new settings make my game run much faster, but I did lose the grass texture. It turns out there are waterfalls in Aurora Skies as well! I couldn't see them with my old settings so I didn't know and I can also see the trees now so everything looks better except the grass. So I'll keep it this way for now. The worlds look so nice this way!

Problem is my computer is quite old, so I'm trying to be selective with what expansion packs I get. I already have 3 expansion packs, so I hope another one won't slow my game. It's already slow... however, it runs the same as it did when I only had the base game. The only difference is that now I disabled the mirrors' reflection, which doesn't bother me so much.
Another thing is... When I buy expansion packs they have to be on disk because I like to display the boxes on my shelf. It just feels nice this way, I don't know

✿I think that you already know what I'm going to say, that you're a generous person, that you're super nice, and that you helped me. All of these things are true, but I'd also like to say something new. Something beyond expressing my appreciation. Being a part of this community taught me something very valuable that I am still learning. I always try to count on myself, this is usually my prefered choice. I feel uncomfortable asking others for favors. It's because I like to think of myself as indenpendent, but truth is, that sometimes it's hard to trust others, it's hard to be gifted. But I wouldn't be able to have these many items from the store without the community, without people like you. Being gifted made me more open. It makes me feel more deserved. If the store closes, and there will be no gifts, I'll be still using the gifts you've given me. The gifts have a meaning and it's about caring, and this caring is never ending and it's because it's about giving a part of yourself to other people. It's making us all think positive. That's why it's so important.

Actually, the little harvest stands that come with (or separate from) the venue are first rate. They can be placed in any world and they give you a head start on produce because they offer better quality produce than you get from the local grocery. Also, they offer everything you have from different expansion packs, etc... Don't want to go to France for some special grapes? Go to the produce stand.
I didn't know that! It's good for sims who want a nectary without going to France then
It's funny because only yesterday I found the little island in France with the special grapes.

✿Let me tell you something, I was here all along. When I woke up this morning, I saw 3 gift messages waiting for me. I was very tired and only woke up for the Daily Deal. I clicked on buy now and then fell asleep. When I woke up again, I went to the forums, and there I got one big surprise! Or shall I say two?

✿I of course... didn't expect this. I couldn't believe this. And it was so amazing, I didn't want to write a thank-you-note like I usually do... I wanted it to be special. I decided that the thank-you pictures this time would be screenshots from my game. This is why I disappeared all day
✿With this game session, I wanted to thank you for all you've done for me by showing you my sims enjoying your gifts. You can imagine how long it took to write all this, it's long, and the pictures are heavy. I tried to make it short, but you don't have to read everything, you may only look at the pictures if you like
✿I first went to Midnight Hollow. The world looked very grey, but it wasn't as dark as I thought it's going to be. I made my sim and picked a house. First thing I saw was those column fences, I didn't know they even existed, I looked for column fences like this for my Victorian houses but couldn't find anything but CC. Imagine my surprise! I'm so going to use them. Yesssss
✿First thing she did? I forgot to make her neat... So it's my fault.
✿I gave her the green thumb trait so she could do some gardening. I wanted to try out the new market stands. I bought a tomato, an eggplant and renoit grapes so she could start her own garden. Sooo after going back home and taking a shower, some interesting neighbours came to visit. The blond one complimented her, but then I found out he was married
✿A lot of sims in this town look like ghosts too, they also have strange outfits. They look like they're the relatives of the Adams family.
I really love the way the houses look, they're so gothic and Victorian
✿After I placed all of the venues in the world, I went to the toy shop. The toy shop is very cool. It comes with a lot of new toys and those large dolls are so creepy and cute at the same time
✿The day after, my sim got to make some toys with the toy machine. She really enjoyed it! She got to make a cute baby mat. I wonder if it's playable? Even if it's only decor, it's very cute!

✿I should make a toy maker sim at some point. This machine has so many options!! I think my kid sims should be quite satisfied with this~
✿While exploring the new world, I noticed I couldn't see the waterfalls in the world. I figured it was because of my low settings. I made some adjustments to the settings, so now I can see trees from distance and see reflections. I can also see the waterfalls! They're very pretty. I hope my game would run better with these adjustments.
✿I also took my new sim to Business as Usual Bistro and he enjoyed eating there. It's a very modern and colourful building and it fits Hidden Springs because of its bright colours and overall feeling~ The lots in this world are very nice. They're hang-out places for sims to enjoy. It's like all of the sims are on a big vacation.
✿The sims in Hidden Springs are very friendly. But I noticed something strange, there are green sims in there too.
✿I didn't try the fountain of youth yet, I found it in buy mode though. It costs nearly half million simoleons!
✿I just want to say that because the worlds look very different from each other, they do expand my game. Hidden Springs is bright and feels to me like a place that could attract tourists, it's just very tranquil, it got nice surroundings, beautiful waterfalls and so on
✿And finally, I didn't notice this, but I made my Midnight Hollow sim wear Hidden Springs outfit, and my Hidden Springs sim to have Midnight Hollow hairstyle

@Reachsims Thank you! Most of my sims don't garden, because I don't like gardening so much in game. It just takes too long and I'm impatient. I do end up having gardens though. I made a new sim [above] with the green thumb trait, so she's going to have a big garden and then I'll use the stand to sell her produce. It did have the grapes from France as you said

I love your pictures and hope you will like exploring the new worlds! When she gifted me the Midnight Hollow world, @NagyGina suggested that I try downloading the burnt waffles mod Midnight Dream to help lighten up the world a bit. Not sure if you've used any mods before, but this one does work like a charm and I've had no problems with it. It also adds some pretty magnificent sunrises and sunsets to all of the worlds. I just had to go back to Aurora skies to replace the fences in my Victorian house. The new settings make my game run much faster, but I did lose the grass texture. It turns out there are waterfalls in Aurora Skies as well! I couldn't see them with my old settings so I didn't know
