Hi! I'm brandnewquiet (Amy IRL, pleased to go by either). I run the billing department at a private university and spend most of my time not working with my husband and our two ridiculous cats.

I still remember going over to a friend's house when I was probably around 13 or so and her showing me the sims game her sister was playing. We were both captivated by scandalous woohoo, lol. In my later teens I got sims 2 and have been playing ever since, but I do tend to get spurts where I play a lot and then take a long break.

The last year has been my most consistent time simming, using the sims 4. I didn't like it at first, but I think all the expansions have been awesome and gameplay is more fun/realistic than ever. Now, I've finally moved past just making myself in game and getting much more into storylines, as well as a legacy for my husband/my sims. I also just started my first challenge, I'm on baby 30 of the 100 baby challenge.

Thanks for the welcome to post! I've been on the forum for a while but didn't start posting more regularly until about a week ago. Speaking of, maybe a silly question- but how do you guys get the comments you are responding to, to appear in a box above your text? I select the quote option, but it looks much messier than how everyone else's comments look. Forum newb, I guess! :)

Hi, I joined the forum today after lurking for a while lol! In 2000 my partner (now my husband) bought the first sims game for me and I was instantly hooked. I've played all of the games over the years including castaway, bustin out and the urbz. I have the sims 2 and 3 on pc but am currently playing and enjoying the sims 4 on console. I'm happy to say my teenage son has also developed the bug.

Hello Rosemow and everyone else! I'm Renee. I got into the sims years ago when I saw my brother playing the first one that came out. I loved the sims 2 and would play it all day everyday, even in the summer till it stopped working. I love and miss the sims 3, and of course I love the 4th one, even with all the stupid glitches and problems with it. Besides that, I just started using the forum like maybe a week ago

Hello, I'm not a newbie but a simple player. Started with Sims 1 just before Sims 2 came out. Played a bit here and there, but real life gets in the way (lol). Purchased Sims 3 and several packs/expansions via eBay years ago. Now, many years later kids are mostly grown, I'm just a few years away from 50 (omg!) and purchased Sims 4 and extras when they were on sale. Its a great diversion from housework and real life but I'm trying not to get sucked in too far. ha ha.

Sims 4 is by far the best version so far. They've really done a great job incorporating the Gallery, Library, etc. all digitally!! All while keeping the best part of the Sims by letting users create and share with each other and the "cheats"!! LOL. Never really got into Mods/CC in the past but I'm going to try to take a stab it it soon.

Thank you @rosemow! It is nice to meet you too! I am definitely looking to reading the forums. I have a question though, how do you create a new thread? I wanted to create a new one for a problem I am having in case someone else is having the same problem and I couldn't figure out how to do that.

Hi Simmers! This is actually the first time I've joined the sims community and I've been playing Sims 1 to 4, involving all the expansion packs and stuff packs since my childhood. I spend more time on creating the lots than playing the sims but when I play sims, I make wild stories! I hope once I become a new member, the community would enjoy my creativity and I get to enjoy all of your creative ideas.
