In fact I had some evidence of good luck again recently. I was popping popcorn in the microwave in a glass bowl marked "microwave safe" with a plate on top for a lid. I opened the door when it was ready, lifted the lid with a couple of cloths, and one second later, the heavy glass bowl exploded, and I heard "F ing A!" (with full text) come out of my mouth, but somehow, I was not hit by any of the large extremely hot glass shrapnel even though I was right in front of the open microwave when the bowl exploded. I call that being very lucky!

Summer of 2015, when I had gone to Florida (birthplace!) and California (and I saw my family on my dad's side for the 'first' time). Technically I'd already met them but it was when I was a baby. During the Florida trip, I reconnected with my cousin for the week and we played video games and toured theme parks, rode rollercoasters... I think it was the first time in years I felt like we were bonding again. It makes me nostalgic to reflect on that. Quite sad that we live an hour away from each other now, but we originally grew up together in the same house/town and were almost like brother and sister. We just drifted apart. Anyway.
This was a long-winded answer that I did not expect to write.
