I got attached to them too! So, I had to give them a really cool house (I didn't build it, found it on the exchange!) and let them have those potions so they get some extra time to be together and young enough to make babies if they want!

@Karritz how exciting it is that you're in a play! I thought about trying stage acting for local theaters a few times, did well in high school plays, but I just haven't found the courage to try. I know it's OT, but I'd love hearing all about it! My Romani sim owned the lot right next door to her employ (the 🐸🐸🐸🐸 caravan) and did the same thing but only going TO work, isn't that weird? Coming home she'd just run across the lot like any of us irl would do, but ALWAYS ran to the carpool on the way. I started just having her go there before work if I was paying attention to her when work rolled about. I love how unique all of your sims are! How many live in the new boarding house?

My actual play of the family before I started sharing on the forums started when Niella had just come back from University. She had met Connor in college and he eventually moved in with her in IP. She met Karlie scuba diving at "Hobart's Reef" (an additional 3rd level diving location by Hobart's that I added.) She eventually moved in with Connor and Niella and she bought Hobart's, raised it to five stars, and had just bought and remodeled The Sparkling Sands right before she and Raj married and planned to re-open it after their honeymoon. And the rest is, as they say, history

Thanks for the comments. I probably made the shadows a bit too contrasting but I was just playing around and I think it made him look more realistic. I think that this version is much better than the last time I tried. Mikezumi is probably the master at creating sims from people, not me.
It took me a minute to realise that you wrote 'rich dandy' and not 'rich daddy'. I was confused there for a bit Ok this final final hair looks good on him too. Seems like Lucas and Mahmoud get along very well! The snow is pretty but I can't imagine it feeling very nice to sit in. Was teh crow completely submerged in the snow? Running on the treadmill for 4 hours sounds like torture to me
Paul and Eddy make a cute couple. I've got a slight grudge against Eddy since he blatantly cheated on one of my sims years ago and broke her heart The love lives are getting a tad more complicated now. They didn't try very hard to hide their woohoo lol. @Silverofdreams30 That must have been frustrating. I haven't had any graphical problems but I'm not sure if I'm on the latest NVIDIA update. She has done very well to own a second resort at her young age. I did the resort thing once after I remodeled the beach in Sunset Valley and I remember being stuck on 4.5 stars for ages.

I love my Sam Beckett story out of them all and my short Christmas romance tale is cute and both might be more to your liking.
Apparently there will be a check box that can be used to indicate if the videos are for children or not. But YouTube will also be checking for anything that looks like it might interest children and assume the person who made the video and said it is not for children lied about it. At this point it seems anything that relates to children or has bright colours or animation or is to do with craft or art tutorials is likely to be marked as something children might watch and treated as if they are made for children regardless of how the creator has labeled them.
I do lots of singing but not much dancing. I'm mostly just hanging out at the back of the stage throwing dresses around and singing. Just a tiny bit of dancing. Once they worked out I wasn't in that scene I told you about earlier I no longer have to worry about that 4 bar solo so all is good.
@AbellaKellaher thank you. I didn't do any acting or anything at school other than speech and drama classes to cure a bad stutter and my mother wanted me to speak with a lower pitched voice so I had to work on doing that. I've always been interested in the theater but never had the confidence to try to do anything with it. Then I went to a play with a friend one night and one of the members of the group that put the play on talked me into joining the group as an active member so I did. They are friendly. I've been in the group for over 10 years and they do 4 plays a year and this is only my fourth play. I never do anything major. Mostly I just help out with taking photos or front of house or suppers. But they do like members to be involved.
Mostly I just sing in a choir and I'm doing that as well at the moment which is why I wasn't too keen on doing the play but I think the fact that I do sing was something they were looking for and I sort of got railroaded into it. I'm having fun now and since I don't have a part it isn't too strenuous for me.
I don't often notice the sims heading out for work or returning home, fortunately.
There are 15 sims in the household at the moment. I think there were a few more previously but I seem to have moved them out to live in town. So some of the sims I expected to find there were not there and sims I didn't expect to find there are there plus some I did expect and they were there. It was a bit of a surprise. I moved 7 sims into the boarding school when Oscar arrived.
The build isn't quite finished so I've been concentrating on that. Apart from the absence of lag, this world is a lot more lively than Chocolate Cake Island as I've set it up differently. There are a couple of hundred other sims living there and that includes children my sims can play with. They already went to school and a few were going home with friends after school.
I'm currently trying to work out a new thumbnail for my videos as the one I've been using is Oscar inside the Chocolate Cake Island boarding school. He's not there now.
Mostly though, right now I just want to take a break from Sims and videos. I've spent too much time on it over the past few weeks. I do have the video recorded for the next video and I've put it into the program I use to turn it into my final work to post onto YouTube. But I think it'll stay like that for a few more days. The video will be better for it if I'm enthusiastic about it rather than bored and just wanting it done.
I like to experiment with the sims and try different looks. The possibilities are endless if you don't require them all to look like physical perfection and stunning beauty. I enjoy their uniqueness too. Thanks.
@coco thank you. The costume fitting worked well. It turns out I need 2 costumes - that's sad as that means I have to change at some point and then probably change back again.
As for the YouTube thing, apparently they can't assume who is watching or who is signed in. It seems a lot of people allow their kids to watch on their parent's accounts. That's ok if that's what they want to do, but YouTube can't show directed ads when children might be watching. So they seem to be planning to assume the children are watching if the video being watched appears to be suitable for children or be something children might want to watch. But, at this point they are still trying to work it all out themselves. They don't want to lose creators and they are aware a lot of people who make the videos have whole teams employed to help them with the job and potentially, all of those people could become unemployed if changes result in their videos no longer earning them sufficient income to pay everyone. Worst case scenario for creators, I think, would be anything that's colourful, uses animation, includes children or is about art or craft tutorials is for children. But I think that it probably won't be that draconian. Too many channels would have to shut down if they couldn't earn enough to pay their bills and YouTube could potentially just grind to a halt and they wouldn't want that. YouTube makes it's money from those channels too.
The authorities are after both YouTube and the individuals making the videos. I don't think they'll take much notice of my channel as I have under 100 subscribers and only about 4 or 5 people ever watch my videos. Except for the tutorials, and they are probably the ones most likely to be hit by the new rules as they are tutorials. Something a child might like to have a look at.
I think the problem is YouTube collects data on people who are watching the videos so they can push directed ads at them. They are not allowed to do this with children. So, they have to stop doing that in videos for children. It seems they are going to choose criteria that they think will meet requirements to ensure only videos children won't want to watch will have directed ads played and all the others will be treated as if they were made for children and have comments and notifications turned off and show only random ads that are child friendly.
That means no one will ever know when one of those videos has been posted and no one can comment on them either so it's a bit pointless bothering with even trying to continue making and posting the videos. I'll just wait and see what happens. My video making for YouTube may end in January.
At least it won't affect my income as I don't have any income from my videos so I am sort of sitting on the sidelines watching and wondering what might happen.
On another subject, the costume fitting went well thanks. I have something I can wear. It's blue and I think it has tiny white spots all over it.
@bekkasan I can’t wait to get the harsh bits out of the way before I set Simon and Tammy up but I want to send them to University so the Humara story will play out there.

University in this game can be quite a fun time, if you don't take it too seriously. I gave all kids the "immune to cold" trait though, because those winter classes can be taxing.
No, Eddy certainly isn't . Then again, given I'm playing on epic timescale, both boys have all the LTR's that make the own brother their worst competitor in this regard.
@AbellaKellaher Yes, hair (and clothes) make up a huge amount of how we perceive other people. It's also one way how we can signal our personality. I noticed that, if I don't like a certain sim and hardly play him, a slight makeover can already change that dramatically. Yeah, Lucas has these eyes that often make him look lost in some dream world, even though he doesn't have the absent-minded trait.
Isn't Mahmoud right though? All these university flings will soon be forgotten.

Yep, I don't think the "Paul and Eddy" romance will have a very long half-life. Lucas is just fooling around anyway. He doesn't start any romantic relationships, he's got a girlfriend at home. Also, public woohoo is always fun in this game. I'm mostly doing it because it's so goofy.

Weekend. Time to get a break from studying. Paul decided to pull a guitar out, and I noticed, he is carrying a collection of four different ones on him, plus a bass and a keyboard.
When I looked at his skill sheet, I noticed that Mr. "One Man Band" still had his performance stat sitting at 0. Oops. Time to rectify this. As it's hard to actually do anything with a second sim at the same time, Lucas had to endure the same procedure, and both brought their performance stats into the mid double digits by early afternoon. Then it was off to a party at the sorority Paul had been invited to.
I have the impression the ladies don't enjoy cleaning very much.
People can't do much in the house in such a case, so everyone stays outside, and of course the game fails to spawn a juice keg, as there isn't any space for it, either. This is the reason why I let the boys bring their spellcasting to at least level 9 (or just use MC instead). Without any party objects, the party is kind of dull.
Lucas starts a conversation with one of the other guests. I assume that's where the expression "talking through your a**" comes from.
The conversation was enjoyable enough, while Paul tried his best "born to be wild" impression in the setting sun outside.
While Lucas tried to find his inner rebel, Paul was pondering the meaning of life, his role, and everything.
I sent Paul over next door, where Eddy lives, and he asked whether he could stay over.
Lucas asked the same thing of Shannon. On the slope they were standing on, things looked slightly funny.
She seems to like her shoes.

Lucas is cute and I like the hair you chose for him. Mika Moore is a very cute sim, I highly recommend her. I like the final hair you chose for Paul, I think I've got that one in my game too
Thanks for the comments. I probably made the shadows a bit too contrasting but I was just playing around and I think it made him look more realistic. I think that this version is much better than the last time I tried. Mikezumi is probably the master at creating sims from people, not me.

Lol meteor strikes can be devastating, the recent one from Karritz comes to mind, you were lucky! Thanks for the additional info about Karlie. She has done very well to own a second resort at her young age. I did the resort thing once after I remodeled the beach in Sunset Valley and I remember being stuck on 4.5 stars for ages.

I love my Sam Beckett story out of them all and my short Christmas romance tale is cute and both might be more to your liking.

Apparently there will be a check box that can be used to indicate if the videos are for children or not. But YouTube will also be checking for anything that looks like it might interest children and assume the person who made the video and said it is not for children lied about it. At this point it seems anything that relates to children or has bright colours or animation or is to do with craft or art tutorials is likely to be marked as something children might watch and treated as if they are made for children regardless of how the creator has labeled them.
I do lots of singing but not much dancing. I'm mostly just hanging out at the back of the stage throwing dresses around and singing. Just a tiny bit of dancing. Once they worked out I wasn't in that scene I told you about earlier I no longer have to worry about that 4 bar solo so all is good.

I didn't do any acting or anything at school other than speech and drama classes to cure a bad stutter and my mother wanted me to speak with a lower pitched voice so I had to work on doing that. I've always been interested in the theater but never had the confidence to try to do anything with it. Then I went to a play with a friend one night and one of the members of the group that put the play on talked me into joining the group as an active member so I did. They are friendly. I've been in the group for over 10 years and they do 4 plays a year and this is only my fourth play. I never do anything major. Mostly I just help out with taking photos or front of house or suppers. But they do like members to be involved.
Mostly I just sing in a choir and I'm doing that as well at the moment which is why I wasn't too keen on doing the play but I think the fact that I do sing was something they were looking for and I sort of got railroaded into it. I'm having fun now and since I don't have a part it isn't too strenuous for me.
I don't often notice the sims heading out for work or returning home, fortunately.
There are 15 sims in the household at the moment. I think there were a few more previously but I seem to have moved them out to live in town. So some of the sims I expected to find there were not there and sims I didn't expect to find there are there plus some I did expect and they were there. It was a bit of a surprise. I moved 7 sims into the boarding school when Oscar arrived.
The build isn't quite finished so I've been concentrating on that. Apart from the absence of lag, this world is a lot more lively than Chocolate Cake Island as I've set it up differently. There are a couple of hundred other sims living there and that includes children my sims can play with. They already went to school and a few were going home with friends after school.
I'm currently trying to work out a new thumbnail for my videos as the one I've been using is Oscar inside the Chocolate Cake Island boarding school. He's not there now.
Mostly though, right now I just want to take a break from Sims and videos. I've spent too much time on it over the past few weeks. I do have the video recorded for the next video and I've put it into the program I use to turn it into my final work to post onto YouTube. But I think it'll stay like that for a few more days. The video will be better for it if I'm enthusiastic about it rather than bored and just wanting it done.
I like to experiment with the sims and try different looks. The possibilities are endless if you don't require them all to look like physical perfection and stunning beauty. I enjoy their uniqueness too. Thanks.
@coco thank you. The costume fitting worked well. It turns out I need 2 costumes - that's sad as that means I have to change at some point and then probably change back again.
As for the YouTube thing, apparently they can't assume who is watching or who is signed in. It seems a lot of people allow their kids to watch on their parent's accounts. That's ok if that's what they want to do, but YouTube can't show directed ads when children might be watching. So they seem to be planning to assume the children are watching if the video being watched appears to be suitable for children or be something children might want to watch. But, at this point they are still trying to work it all out themselves. They don't want to lose creators and they are aware a lot of people who make the videos have whole teams employed to help them with the job and potentially, all of those people could become unemployed if changes result in their videos no longer earning them sufficient income to pay everyone. Worst case scenario for creators, I think, would be anything that's colourful, uses animation, includes children or is about art or craft tutorials is for children. But I think that it probably won't be that draconian. Too many channels would have to shut down if they couldn't earn enough to pay their bills and YouTube could potentially just grind to a halt and they wouldn't want that. YouTube makes it's money from those channels too.
The authorities are after both YouTube and the individuals making the videos. I don't think they'll take much notice of my channel as I have under 100 subscribers and only about 4 or 5 people ever watch my videos. Except for the tutorials, and they are probably the ones most likely to be hit by the new rules as they are tutorials. Something a child might like to have a look at.
I think the problem is YouTube collects data on people who are watching the videos so they can push directed ads at them. They are not allowed to do this with children. So, they have to stop doing that in videos for children. It seems they are going to choose criteria that they think will meet requirements to ensure only videos children won't want to watch will have directed ads played and all the others will be treated as if they were made for children and have comments and notifications turned off and show only random ads that are child friendly.
That means no one will ever know when one of those videos has been posted and no one can comment on them either so it's a bit pointless bothering with even trying to continue making and posting the videos. I'll just wait and see what happens. My video making for YouTube may end in January.
At least it won't affect my income as I don't have any income from my videos so I am sort of sitting on the sidelines watching and wondering what might happen.
On another subject, the costume fitting went well thanks. I have something I can wear. It's blue and I think it has tiny white spots all over it.

University in this game can be quite a fun time, if you don't take it too seriously. I gave all kids the "immune to cold" trait though, because those winter classes can be taxing.

@AbellaKellaher Yes, hair (and clothes) make up a huge amount of how we perceive other people. It's also one way how we can signal our personality. I noticed that, if I don't like a certain sim and hardly play him, a slight makeover can already change that dramatically. Yeah, Lucas has these eyes that often make him look lost in some dream world, even though he doesn't have the absent-minded trait.
Isn't Mahmoud right though? All these university flings will soon be forgotten.

I guess the expression "dandy" is a bit old-fashioned, but it crossed my mind when I look at the combination of the shirt/sweater combo Paul is wearing and the hairstyle, which is also somewhat retro. Think of rich kids at an elite university.
Paul befriended the crow the moment they arrived at university, and there wasn't any snow on that day yet. I don't think I would have found it in the snow, heh. I wonder if the game hides anything in there.
Yep, I don't think the "Paul and Eddy" romance will have a very long half-life. Lucas is just fooling around anyway. He doesn't start any romantic relationships, he's got a girlfriend at home. Also, public woohoo is always fun in this game. I'm mostly doing it because it's so goofy.

When I looked at his skill sheet, I noticed that Mr. "One Man Band" still had his performance stat sitting at 0. Oops. Time to rectify this. As it's hard to actually do anything with a second sim at the same time, Lucas had to endure the same procedure, and both brought their performance stats into the mid double digits by early afternoon. Then it was off to a party at the sorority Paul had been invited to.
I have the impression the ladies don't enjoy cleaning very much.
People can't do much in the house in such a case, so everyone stays outside, and of course the game fails to spawn a juice keg, as there isn't any space for it, either. This is the reason why I let the boys bring their spellcasting to at least level 9 (or just use MC instead). Without any party objects, the party is kind of dull.

The conversation was enjoyable enough, while Paul tried his best "born to be wild" impression in the setting sun outside.
