Still having problems downloading anything from the store. The log in screen keeps coming up on the game launcher every time I try. I've been trying for 3 days now and can't get anything to download. Don't know what to do.
In case you are still having problems, here is another method for downloading that you may like to try. This is Valgon57's Store Mega List For Extra Quick Redownloading. He provides links to download items by-passing the product pages or purchase history. I don't know if that will solve the log in screen issue, but I hope it does if you have not yet solved your problem.

Also wanted to mention that I'm totally in love with Lunar Lakes. No one told me how gorgeous it was and to think at one point I was wondering if I should get it at all. I was always reading the reviews of the worlds in this forum and its usually placed toward the bottom... But, oh my, the skies are as beautiful as Aurora Skies, but the world remains light a lot longer. Yay! :) And the other planet that gets super close to it is *sings* BEAUTIFUUUUUL! I also love the world objects, particularly the pavilions. I could go on and on, but I'll just mention one last thing... The sims are pretty attractive, too, at least the ones I looked at.

I will have to open Lunar Lakes and look at it through your eyes. It was the last world on my list, but you have described it so beautifully. I never took the time to notice a planet. Of course, I only scrolled around for a few minutes.

There are so many items in the game which I have gotten a new appreciation for because of how others describe them, review them or recolor them.

Chat last night with CS had me reset my password and try again downloading but that didn't help. Ran malwarebytes last night and found nothing. Still need to update that program and try again. Uninstalled sims 3 this morning and just reinstalled the game. Now to patch sims 3 to the latest version and try again. I'm also now in the process of backing up my computer so I can wipe the hard drive and start over. That won't happen until over the weekend since I'm expecting Frontier Finds free tonight on the dd. Then pushin petals on monday so I got a gap between deals to do it. Hopefully that will also fix me IE problems. Thinking of taking my laptop to the library this morning and trying to download to make sure it's not my account and it is my computer that's the problem.

Thank you @Chris_Monsanto and @Nevills for the gifts. @Nevills, The kady shorts helped bring my expected cys for Everyday - Hot Summer to 5 points when it comes up on the dd.

Did they make changes to the sigs on here? I had to remove some of my :) because it said I can only have 1 image when I updated my sig.

Hey everyone, lots to catch up on!

Thank you so, so much for all the kind wishes! Too many to list - at one point I had 16 notifications at once. I'm trying to keep up with the thread and my contest, but mostly I'm kind of lying in bed moaning and clicking on blue buttons. Still pretty darn sick - my fever goes up to around 102 at night, then breaks during the night with that icky covered-in-sweat thing, and... well, it's all sordid and depressing. I'll let you know when I'm back to my spry self. At least I don't have to work today. My husband took the day off because my daughter and I were both going to be off, so they're going off to an art museum in a nearby city while I moan and click. I don't let them in the room with me anyway, except to give me tea, so it's not like I'd be cuddling with them, but to add loneliness to illness is harsh.
    simgeek79 wrote: »
@Cogitotoro sorry to hear you're feeling so terrible, hopefully it passes soon - too bad you have to work tomorrow :w Hope your daughter's ortho appointment went well and that she is happy with her smile :g
Oh, I didn't say on here, but that was so sad! Poor thing, after an hour's drive to get her braces off, they told her that her teeth hadn't spread quite wide enough yet for her retainer, so she has to wait two more weeks! Two weeks seems like forever to a thirteen year old who's had braces for a couple of years.
@frozenorangejuic, love that simlish song project! It gives me respect for how the musicians who do these simlish covers must have to sing the songs reading something like this - not easy!
You asked if the transcription looked right, and it's SO good. The only thing I wondered about was "awng awng lie bye nightwhich" which sounds to me more like "awng awng like a nightwhich" (although I was hearing it as "awng awng like a night witch" because that's funnier).
Hey, just found out you can make these nifty lines all the way across your post by typing a short row of dashes!

So they changed the emojis? I had a look back through and maybe I'm just not remembering which we already had, but this "mask" seems new to me: :mask:. Why do we need a "mask" emoji?

How is this "triumph"? :triumph: And this "persevere"? :persevere:
[EDIT: looking at them again, I think I'd have guessed they were "going to the bathroom with great difficulty" and "going to the bathroom with slightly less difficulty"]

I kinda like "smirk," which I didn't remember: :smirk:

Did we always have four variations on kissing? Do we need four variations on kissing? :kissing::kissing_heart::kissing_smiling_eyes::kissing_closed_eyes:

lol looks demented - did it always?

And my favorite smile - "grinning" - seems to be gone. Guess I have to kiss it goodbye. :kissing::kissing_heart::kissing_smiling_eyes::kissing_closed_eyes:

Finally, just a friendly reminder about my gift and laugh contest! The first deadline is tomorrow at midnight EST - all you have to do for that deadline is upload a sim and fill in an entry form. Then I'll assign who is doing makeovers on whom. Oh, and I'm not publicizing this, but everybody's getting a gift just for entering, too, so there's that. "Grinning!"

XD because I am a child of the 80's! And my dad watched that movie over and over. It had music from his two favorite artists and though he hated musicals this one was the first one he ever liked. I pretty much grew up watching that movie and think of it every time I go skating XD

I was able to download stuff from my purchase history while at the library using my laptop so I know the problem isn't with my account and is with my desktop computer. I'm 1 step closer to figuring it out so I can download everything I haven't gotten downloaded yet. I know I have 2 worlds, several compilations including one with a venue and several stuff from sets to download. Got my wishlist edited a little while at the library to adding more stuff from a couple sets.

Ah, Xanadu nostalgia. I had that movie memorized...along with Gone with the Wind and the Ewok Adventure.

@Ximph , thank you for the Champions Glory, I'm humming and harring as to whether to get the Gothic library when it comes, the adverts would have to be very kind though) or alternatively to simply build my own. So I'm collecting the medieval stuff, I already have the gothique/gothic and castle stuff as well as the potions book. Already having the potions book is the sticking point with the venue library.

    Anyways, thank you
    Happy simming to all simmers.

Does anyone know if there is a checklist out there of store content? I saw the TS3 browser that Crinrict has, but I'm wanting something more like a pdf list of the sets in the store or something like that. Any thoughts?

Thank you! I'm completely deaf so don't know these things at all. Lots of folks that say they don't care for the world as some feel that it is over the top for its style. I have always felt that when you do have a choice to be able to get all the content including all the worlds, you will have more potential for game play in your own worlds and it adds to your considerable investment.

I recently posted some pics of my sim in the Golden Gondola exchange lot and it contains some of the amazing flora from these Sci Fi future worlds. And the plants look different in the color schemes when place into other worlds. I miss out 100% on sounds but your post really made me smile!

This sounds like a system problem then. I didn't realize you had more than one rig to test your internet with, but no matter now. Have you tried a system restore using a date from when the downloads were still working? I'm assuming that you did look to see that your browser is correctly using the right executable to the launcher, to process downloads.

Good forensic work in troublshooting. I am glad we have more to work with now. Do try the system restore. I had one of my machines completely refuse to get online and I did all the malware checks, registry cleans, even defragments, and when I ran system restore back to the start of the previous month, everything was hunky dory.

@Cogitotoro sorry to hear that your daughter's braces removal has been delayed :( Poor thing, very disappointing! The reason for the mask emoji??? Perhaps that emoji is sick in bed moaning with a fever and her emoji friends don't want to catch it so they make her wear it :smirk: Your contest looks so good and I am so tempted to enter but my computer keeps re-starting itself when I try to play my game (I haven't had a chance to try anything to fix it yet i.e. clean the inside) so worried that I wouldn't be able to "make over" the sim I was assigned. But I've definitely been following and enjoying all the entries so far...

Have to share...while typing up my post, the phone rang...I answered it and they asked for me, I said I wasn't home (lol!) I hate! telemarketers :s any way guy asks who I am. Sometimes I say "the nanny" which technically I could be...but this time I say "her daughter" lol! then he tells me he's calling from 'Windows Security about my computer'...so I'm like "Oh, no thanks, I don't think my mom wants to be scammed right now, maybe another time, thanks - bye" and I hung up.... so much fun! But I really wish they were able to catch these guys I know of a couple of people that have been duped and have lost money :(

Thank you to my fellow Child of the 80's @Ximph for the gift this afternoon - my sim will definitely be "Pretty in Pink" (see what I did there? ;) )
@trithone hope you were able to dig your car out this morning and that the roads / conditions weren't too bad. Is your festival this weekend?? If so good luck :star: hope it all goes well!

It's been a while again since I've been on here, but I wanted to thank some folks on here in case they don't see their Sims3 Walls and I don't have a Thank-You Thread on the new forums:

@Duissane for the Show Stopping Styles- Liar Liar Pants,
@Penndra for the Show Stopping Styles- 75 Pieces of Flair Top (I love the Office Space reference there!) for Random Giftie Day,
@KittyKat8103 for the Show Stopping Style- Glitterific Romper and the Show Stopping Style- Buckle it Up Dress,
    @Ximph for the Hibiscus Trio,
@haldechick02 for the Baseball Jacket, and
@Pixieydust for the Show Stopping Style- Peek-a-Boo Elbow! Leather Top.
Thank you so much for your generosity!

Also thank you to @AlphaFen, @bekkasan, @LyrielSims, and @Radlee for good wishes about my back pain. It has been slowly getting better. Part of the difficulty was that I couldn't take any pain meds because I was pregnant.

I've been struggling because this past Monday/Tuesday night I had another miscarriage--this one at 11 weeks. It was so tough because we got to see the heartbeat on ultrasound for this one which we never had before with the previous ones. We'll get through this, but it's hard.

@simgeek79 I had to laugh when I read about your phone call, those are times when I don't feel quite myself, myself
My friends told me off and that I have to stop using them as stress relief...
I'm known to a few of my friends as Victor (as in Meldrew)

@Ximph thank you for the column, just north of here is a small town called Heide, that is famous for it's biennale (every two years) medieval market. I went once, the massive market place was full. I had to really rack my brains to remember the film "The Golden Child" I have actually seen it on VHS probably 1988 or '89. For those too young, use wiki.

Trying to get back on topic....I was kicking myself before, for not looking at the Daily List in advance, I could have prepared for Ragtime in the Big Easy, nevermind, next time round. So my game has saved, back to playing...
    Happy simming to all simmers.

    Funny story,
Today I left the house for the first time since snowpocalypse hit and like a good person i went to buy ice cream. I mean why else go outside? i am casually driving around humming the Xanadu song which morphed into some other 80's tunes since my radio is usually on channel 8. Nothing better than driving and then Friday, I"m in Love comes on because how can you not sing it. I realize when i get home i can go and spend my points to finish off Collectionne Stäncké except i have a green download button?? oh wait i have gifts. Seems @Cogitotoro sent me a few things to swing me over and @LyrielSim did the same. But that crazy squirrel also gave me Tiny Prodigies!!! Words cannot describe how overjoyed I am that i was given a venue!

I think I'll go sit a sim i don't like in front of the fireplace that @Ximph gifted me and neglect to install a smoke detector. You see the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire.

    This community is awesome.

I slept through my first alarm and woke up thinking I'd be late with all the shoveling snow off my car and stuff, but discovered that my awesome hubby had done it for me. :) He even backed the car down the driveway a little so it would be more in the sun to melt the remaining ice. I knew I was keeping him around for something!

Yes, Federated Festival starts tomorrow. The major roads are clear so we are holding it! Woot! Didn't want to try to reschedule that monster. I have to be there at 6:30 tomorrow and will work straight through until 6 or later tomorrow evening, so I'll probably be off the spreadsheet early tonight (haven't been the most consistent checker today anyway). Sunday I have my church job and then do all the paperwork from this weekend of the festival. I enjoy hearing the student's play and having a chance to give them evaluations of their progress, but it is exhausting so I figure I won't be back on here this weekend. Then we will repeat the whole process in Williamsburg next weekend. After that I can get at my taxes! :)

Speaking of inconsistencies...I am going to have to use your info from the Weekly Sales to update the spreadsheet. I totally missed last week's sales. Oh well, I'll worry about that on Monday.
a.k.a. Samantha (though Sam is just fine, too. Also, Simmantha, according to my husband.)

Thanks to a lot of amazing sim friends I have owned the store for a while now. If you'd like to help out a really good friend of mine who just started playing the game, here is his wishlist. Thanks!
