You are the very definition of a troll. You come on to my list attack it, you then create your own pro list, and then when you feel my list is getting more attention you attempt to post both list.

This is exactly the same problem I had with the other post, it's a bad list and extremely unethical and dishonest. Most of the negatives include a justification which excuses why the removed feature should be considered acceptable to be removed. You need to remove all the stupid justifications.

Does the other list include justifications explaining why every included feature should be considered a bad thing that it's on the list? People who are dishonest while pretending to be honest, tend to be psychopaths, btw. Or narcissists.

@JoeWoW1003 I feel that you should remove the opinions and just state "What is in the game. What is not in the game. New things. Old things." instead of opinions. Facts are facts. =) But if you prefer that way, I suppose it works too.

nice post i think people need to take things in context. sure there are things "Missing" but i think the base game will still be fun. i think people love to gripe but i think the hate needs to stop more so on these forums want to "hate" go on mod the sims not only are the mods allowing post after post bashing the game but they also allowing a 5 + page talk on pirating too which i just find sad the whole point of the sims community is to provide a friendly connection of fans of the games. not to bash a game thats not even out yet.

Not allowing decent is a form of communism. Or even Socialism. Where I live that a big fat no to silence the masses. Do you know dictators control the media in their countries? All they do is spew propaganda all day long. To keep it within a game discussion and not politics, think Tropico games/ about a dictator, try Tropico 4 or 5. I think you might like those games sense descent bothers you so much, I'm just sayin'.

ETA: Btw, No MTS does not allow players to discuss how to get 'free' games, not do they allow anyone to even say they will get it 'free'. That will get you kicked off of MTS< but actually a very positive site is telling people how to get a 'free' demo. Oh, the irony.

I have read that if acne was in the game then the game would be required to have a higher rating but I couldn't find a source for this so I'm leaving it here.

    Wow. EA's plumming logic

It seems to me all the lists purport to inform about a game that is not yet released and they are laced with the creators' biases. The original list was deliberately presented with the negative bias of its creator. To argue otherwise is disingenuous. On the issue of Open Worlds alone - some simmers want and like them and some don't. All this seems to serve at this point is to argue over biases. Or to even insist that one's own definition of what is a true sequel is the only definition.

If I really want to get "accurate" information I try to get it from the source. The game whatever it is will be the game when it is released. Some will like it and some won't. Same thing happened with the transition from TS2 to TS3. We still have simmers here arguing how one or the other is a better game. None of them are wrong. They are preferences. If I want to know what the game is really like I watch demo videos, read articles from the gurus or from creators' campers who have actually played the game. All else will be revealed at launch if I chose to buy and play it (I probably will.)

Reading negative or positive laundry lists of game features does not helpfully inform me if I will like the game. It just informs me of the negative or positive biases of the creators' of the lists which may or may not agree with my own biases. No one's preferences are superior to another's. The hard part about making a game is to make it as appealing to as many as possible. Someone is always going to end up unhappy when a choice is made between those preferences. The crowd that hates story progression is happy. The crowd that wants story progression is unhappy.

I will be happy when the game finally launches and all these conversations are finally rendered moot.

So...you feel everything should be included in the list, even if they are duplicates or just rumors? That's kind of odd logic.

If you would care to have an actual discussion about this and make an argument for the things you agree with as other people have done before you perhaps we can fix some things.

If you're just here to call me stupid, a psychopath, unethical and dishonest, well, please leave :D

People need to stop adding justifications to the removed list. Justify it all you want, no justification will make me feel better about the removed features.

Yeah! How dare people question burglars being missing from Sims 4 even though we have zero proof of that!

This is an outrage! I need justifications for hating this game!!!

I think it is wonderful to have both the good and the bad listed in the same post. That way people can see them both to help them decide if they want to take an early plunge at the game or not. Good job and I hope everybody can help keep the list as accurate as possible.

Since you're so keen on justifying the removed features. How about i hate on the new features?

The New CAS - Stolen from EVE Online.
Photobombs - Wow how amazing must of taken them months to put that in.
You can bake birthday cakes - How amazing, who knew that you could actually bake your own birthday cake. Its so creative.
Improved pathing - this i'd like to see.
Voodoo dolls - yes lets teach our children some witchcraft.

I think ill stop here, i randomly selected things but im not gonna create a complete hate list. See its not nice, but the features we lost outweigh the features we gained. I like the new features ill give it that, but seriously stop justifying the features we lost. If no one bought EA's excuses for it, they're not going to buy it from you.

The point here is that it is a matter of perspective. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you do like it, don't put others down for not liking it. Every feature, whether it is in the game or not, has been nice to have in the Sims series. As the game develops further after launch, more features will be added. If it isn't your time to buy the game, I implore you to remember that what you enjoy or hate isn't necessarily what others would enjoy or hate.

But alas, statements like these peppered so few in the forums will be lost among the roar of battling opinions. And for some reason, I still couldn't stop myself from pretty much saying: Hey guys, state facts, not opinions. I want to know what's in it, what's not. Not what everyone's debate will be about it.

(I didn't read everyone's responses so forgive me if something here was already mentioned). Sims 2 teens could get acne. It wouldn't raise the rating. And as for favorites, I like how I can make my sims more unique with them and differentiate them more. Like for example, one of my sims like spaghetti but the other one has hamburgers as her favorite food. Or like if I was making my simself and my friends' simselves, I would put maybe either country or pop music as my favorite and I'd make my friends favorite music rock. I don't like how clothes can be unlocked because that just screams "RPG" to me. I like my sandbox play and I don't wanna have to unlock stuff in order to have everything that I paid for with my own money. Will Wright isn't a sim (or is he?) he was the creator of the game, the one who gave the charm in the Sims. Ever since he left, the game no longer has that charm imo (and in my opinion, Sims 2 was the last game that had that). For the eyelash length thing, I don't wanna have to choose different pre sets for them. I want complete freedom in how long my sims eyelashes are lol (even though these sims look like they don't have actual eyelashes). I liked zodiac signs because.. well just because xD. I just like how each sim has a different zodiac sign and if I were to make my simself, I can make my simself be an Aquarius and such. I do agree that they should've made story progression an option like it was in Sims 3, where you can turn it off (and improve it in Sims 4).

He was a Sim in Sims 2 and that's why he's listed as a "missing feature."

I know for a while that part time jobs were questionable. English Simmer posted a little Sims 4 lets play she was allowed to do and it had part time jobs for her teenager in the family.

One of the part time jobs was babysitting, but I don't know if that means that sims will be able to hire babysitters or if those babysitters would come to your house or not. I just thought it was interesting.

I noticed that too about babysitters. I was about ready to jump in this thread and add "AH ha! There ARE babysitters!"

But then I realized that from the video we saw it's just a job your Sim can get, doesn't necessarily mean a babysitter will come to your house :p

@JoeWow1003 At least there are more than three types of part time jobs. I do wonder if elders will get the same pick of part time jobs or if they will be different. Or maybe they won't even get part time jobs. It does make me curious. :)

Very well done. Thank you for posting, it really helps see what is in the game and what is not! So thank you!

Can't you download a babysitter from the gallery then just take her out when your adults come home? That's what I'm going to do.

No cars? I just saw a screenshot today of a few Sims gathered outside of a house and on the street, there was a car driving by.
