Ok, I have the base game and all the stuff packs and EPs. I have no mods but a good amount of cc (hairs, clothes, furniture).
The problem that I have experienced is when I attempt to recolor an object. The Create a Style tool moves incredibly slow or gets locked up. The last time I couldn't get out of Create a Style and had to quit my game.
- You've been asked this in the other thread, but I've not seen an answer by you but DID you or DID YOU NOT reset everything with MasterController before taking any scripting mods out ?
- Are you willing to try a simple step that does not resolve reinstalling your game but will reset your game to a vanilla standard without saves and cc ? Your stuff won't be lost, it will be just gone for a test.

All my mods have been removed. I resumed play on a game I had had pre-installation. (I had no core mods, only Nraas Story Progression, MC, Animator, nothing big)
My mood bars are discolored, and the zoom in and out is very slow and laggy (however rotation is super fast)
The moodlets "Having Fun" and "Having a Blast" moodlets only max out to "50 minutes" as opposed to the usual 8 hours. They decay very quickly. (Just the fun bar)
When I save and quit, all relationships are wiped out and go back to zero and "stranger".
Try running it vanilla - NO MODS at all, no 3rd party CC, not even Store CC. I have all CC disabled and moved out and I don't have mods anyway. I have all EP's but no Generations yet. My game is running very very well. I didn't open any saved games, created a new one with Bridgeport and it's not giving me any problems. Of course, I never had any problems with LN or Bridgeport from the time I installed LN.

a. No, I did not. But I assumed since people without CC and mods were having the same issues it would be indifferent
Try the following (path can be different depending on your OS):
- Rename your theSims3 folder in Documents\ElectronicArts to Sims3_Backup
- Start the game (All your save games will be gone, your options will be reset to factory settings and all your store cc will be gone. Not to worry, it's all still there in that backup folder).
- A new Sims3 folder will have been recreated in your documents\electronicArts folder. Some folders might be missing for they are only created when you need them.
- Quit the game
- Move the options.ini file from your backup folder to your newly created folder in document\electronicArts\thesims3 to recover your graphic/sounds/gameplay options
- Go to programs\electronicarts\thesims3 and make sure you DO NOT have a mods folder there. If you do, move that to your desktop. Also make sure that there is no resource.cfg on that level (there will be on in your game\bin folder, don't delete that one).
- Repeat above step for every expansion you have.
- Start your game. You will need to start a new game for the other one is still missing right now.
- See if your error is gone. If so, you can put starting the folders back, starting with your saves. Check your game after every folder.
- If you had a mods folder in your programs folder, don't put it back. CC does not go there any more.
- If you find a mods folder in your documents folder, make sure you only put the stuff back that you know to be compatible.

Oh, I have another thing to add. You know how when you add a trait to a sim and they do a lttle animation relating to the trait? In public places I can barely socialize with other sims because they continue to do it over and over and over again. So if i go to the park for example, its very loud because sims are repeating animations over and over and over... I could live with it but it's annoying

Well, everytime I try to do an interaction with somebody, the game glitches, the interaction disapears, and the person is moved to another room? What the heck!
And another thing is, I want my sim to get a divorce, but the only interaction I can do is "shoo" and its getting on my nerves!! ALso, I think we should be able to do more romantic reactions than "Give Flowers" . Thats rediculous! & Where did the "Special " thing you click on to get certain interactions. And with friendly , you cant do anything either!!! come on!!
@Whale: Good to hear. You might have something in there that is not compatible. You're savegame might be messup because of the way you removed the mods. Wait for twallan to update ErrorTrap. That might be able to fix your game, if it is broken. Since you started a new one, I don't think this is the only issue though.

Thats the exact same thing thats happening to me. it's very annoying :x
EDIT: Although for me it's one sim in particular. everytime another sim interacts with him or when he interacts with another sim, whoever started the interaction is moved across the room.
EDIT: Also, hotspots won't show up. I try reading the newspaper to find hotspots like always, but since I installed Generations and the new patch, the newspaper doesn't tell me the hotspots

I am completely up to date and patched. I don't know how to find more specific patch information for you. I installed the game and did all the updates and patches it said I needed this afternoon.
I was playing on an old save. It was a family I had been playing for a while.
I tried playing the game after I went through this long process to download it and now that I can play, for some reason whenever there is a new item that Generations has introduced, it's blank or it won't let me use it. I can use everything else fine, but the Generations things won't work. Anyone else have this same problem?
Hi there the bug i seem to have is with a saved game.
i can not click on my wife to interact with her ,i can select her and select him to interact but not the other way around .
i have no mods never had mods and no custom content.
i have installed sims3,world adventures,latenight,ambitions and highend loft stuff.problem started after installing generations and patching,the were sleeping when i reloaded the save and it jumped them both from the bed to just standing in the room.
once again to make sure its stated correct ,when i play the husband i can not click on wife to interact,but when i play the wife i can click on husband and interact just fine.

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
6GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5450
Windows fully updated.
Game fully patched.
No mods, cc. Only store content.
2. They had not yet gotten the notification of "Its __'s birthday", it was the day before their birthday that I aged them up..
3. I had actually never had this glitch until after downloading the patch and installing GEN.
4. I had 1.21 when this happened..I am now updating to 1.22 to see if it changes.
5. They were not present when the sim died, they got a notification that they died and I had the option to save the memory and that was it..
when my sims are talking to one another, sometimes the bubble that says "brother" or "husband" or whatnot gets stuck on the screen. even when i have them stop talking to any sims, or i switch households, or have them talk to other sims...it still always has "brother" in the top left corner with a little stem that WOULD be connected to an interaction box (tell joke, hug, etc). i switched families and it still had the exact same "brother" as from the previous family...i took out all my mods. is anyone else having this problem?
also my sims will be talking and then all of a sudden jump to another end of the room.

@seadramon: Sorry, lost in translation. I don't understand what you are trying to say. Did you remove any mods that you might had in your game ?

@angldior: Did you try starting it directly from the exe ? Does the launcher start ? Do you get any error messages ?

@Angelakeller734: Sounds like an incompatible hack. Did you remove all your mods/hacks prior to trying ?

@T3hXinro: Audio has always been buggy. Did you try with patch 1.21 or 1.22 ?
@YAMMM7: Can't really tell you cause I don't know how severe the problems really are. Lots of people posted with 1.21 installed which obviously had some bugs. The patch notes are totally inconclusive. If you don't want to hold off, install Gen, that will patch you to 1.21 and then patch to 1.22.

As you can see my sims are active, but their picture never changes, and every square you click gets highlighted. I don't see what could be causing this, I removed all CC. Weird thing is, when you start a new game this doesn't happen. I would hope EA will fix this, because I have quite a history with some families, and will not be happy if their files are now corrupted.

1. I followed all steps above.
2. When I put in saves and went back in that was good, so after that I exited and went back in, it worked
3. However I restarted to make sure and I returned to the same issues
Well at least now I know it's in my cc(?)

I had patch 1.21 installed but after updating to 1.22 the teen still wouldn't go to boarding school.
