amberandfreddie, I left a rec for your build. It is lovely. The architecture is nice and the interiors are pretty! Very well done!
Thanks, Princess_Natasha, that's about the best i could do,i'd scraped two builds and was running out of steam, although looking at some of the other media i wish i'd used a bit more color.
Thanks as well for the rec, i've already rec'd everyone who posts a link to their lot.
All caught up with the recs for this challenge! I'm having too much fun seeing what everyone is coming up with for this - everyone's builds are so different, even though they are all tiny!

I love your house, you did a great job on it. It's cute and cozy :-)
Lebanna -- your lot is gorgeous! Made me a bit embarrassed to have enter the advanced category.
Fabulous build -- left a rec for you.
aww! wow that's a big complement! thank you! But don't worry, I have that with a lot of other styles, like victorian. Not really my cup of tea Modern is haha.
Thanks.. by the way, how are you getting on with your pics did you have any luck with the link Faith gave you?
Totally read over your question. Sorry. Yeah, it worked great! (as you saw with my upload haha) although it cut off the bottom edge of every picture. Don't know why, they were perfectly square and it showed fine in the program to replace the images. But oh well, now that I know, I just place the text higher from now on
Hello! So I'm new... well just to this forum. I have been building for a few years (that's what I love to do!!!), but have just started playing around with cheats more than moveObjects. I am working on the #221-222 challenge and I am not sure if I should enter at the intermediate or advanced level. Please help?????

Welcome! I'm curious as to what kind of build you will enter. There have been so many different types of entries. It's making me wonder what other builds will join haha..
As to your question. That is totally up to you what level you join. I suggest you browse this forum for other entries from previous challenges. And compare advance with intermediate and see if you think your builds fit in either level. check out the winners too and pick the one you are comfortable with. You can also try to enter intermediate first and join in on advanced when you are a bit more confident

See the thing is I think I might fall in the advanced but I'm not that confident yet. Maybe I will just try intermediate first like you suggested until I do gain my confidence and hear some feedback on my builds.
BTW I love your build for this challenge! Everyone's are great! I'm so nervous! hahahaha :XD:

Thanks, your build is great too! and I did the same thing. I entered intermediate first. to see what kind of feedback I would get, and get my confidence up a little
It's just a challenge for fun you can see on the first page what the guidelines are for the different levels, and decide for yourself what suits you

I reccomend starting in the intemediate category. Intermediate is always a good place to start for experienced builders until you get a feel for the flow of things. What I personally did was wait until one of the judges suggested that I try the advanced category.
OPTIONAL CHALLENGE: not really I made Mr. Smith but no story
LEVEL:advanced
LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 10x10, Sunnyside Blvd., $20,468
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: This small home is built on a 10x10 lot complete with a personal Koi Pond. The Perpetual
Loft features: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, an efficient custom kitchen with a small dining area, a living area, and an office space on the ground floor.
I used MOO & CFE.
I made plain walls to offset the wood flooring and wood ceiling. I used different color woods in each room to make pictures easier to see.
I used buy debug to light instead of buying lights to keep under budget since the stairwell was very expensive to make. (though after I posted and organized all my pictures I went back into the lot to get the total value and it had depreciated by $3000! I could have put the frieze that i really wanted on instead of the roof but didnt want to redo all my pics)
btw this is my first minimalist build and I have to say I enjoyed it.

haha I had the same thing happening! Don't know what happened. But I just saved my game, quit, came back the next day to see if I could reduce some more (because I was still over budget). And all of a sudden it was only 24,300. 2k less. But it was a godsend haha cause I had not much left to reduce (or not willing to haha). Made it just to 23,500 on the dime.
Great build btw! Omg, cannot imagine how much work that stair case has cost you. I like it
