Some people panic when they don't see updates for 2 weeks. Don't worry about it; take all the time you need.

And I vote "NO" on adding a forest to your beautifully dismal desert world. lol

I completely understand the whole lack-of-updates thing. I do have a summer approaching in about 2 months, I'll be able to carve out much more time for these worlds then. I haven't made much progress, But I'm thinking of doing another post-apocalyptic world one thats far more intense. Likely going to be basing things off of 3 and vegas. So shanty towns (on a smaller scale), thinks like Megaton, Vaults which act as Tombs, crumbling cities, etc.

I think when summer comes, I'll most likely work on a large scale post apocalyptic world. I'll also look into my own form of modding to give the perfect atmosphere (currency in caps, necessity for water, etc.) Probsbly will base off of layout of Fallout 3, elements of New Vegas, etc. Will attempt to purchase casino items (the world is on sale, but I only have 1590simpoints of the needed 1900 for the casino stuff JUST 310 AWAY!). Want to really give the atmosphere. I might even make my own cc for this (having multiple versions of the world (cc-free, cc included, etc.) Probably will be the big project for the summer (I'm having too much trouble with a Wind Waker world I'm attempting, and the Brightfalls is for stress relief. HOPEFULLY SIMS 4 DOESN'T ANNOUNCE ITSELF AND KILL THESE PROJECTS! but you know how it goes...

I was really enjoying the work you were putting into Bright Falls. Hopefully when the summer comes around you can start updating that thread again. It's been a while.

The reason the Bright Falls world has been taking it slow was since I actually playu around ingame on my xbox while working on the world. I'm planning to do some stuff from the second chapter of the game down in the corner of the world will also create a landscape for it. I might be working on it my spring break next week.

Honestly, it all depends on what I'm in the mood to do. I don't want to work on something if I don't want to, otherwise It'd come out fairly cruddy. But yes, I'm going to work in Bright Falls during my summer break. (I probably want to work on that most this night.) If it's not homework, bible study, classes, family issues, it's a lack of interest. Hey, don't blame me because I enjoy a little messing around with Assassin's Creed, or Littlebigplanet. I don't only play the Sims. I'm also not really doing anything major until I have had a chance to play with Supernatural, Seasons, and University to understand how they work. I get the feeling Paradise Island (or whateva it's called), will fix a problem with lots partially underwater. With the additional underwatering accessibility, I'm debating on creating a world inspired by Rapture from those BioShock games. What I want the MOST is floating chunks of land. Maybe EA will do something truly awesome and make an 11th EP about fantasy and fairytales, and a 12th EP about post-apocalytips stuff.

But EA only makes 10EPs, right?

I'm enjoying the world thus far, but I'm getting non-stop script errors with ALL the large animals.....Having to cull them off with MC on a regular basis at the moment.

Running all the EPs, most SPs (No Katy Perry or Diesel) and a bevvy of Mods mostly from NRaas Industries.....Any ideas?

My sim Trudy is enjoying your Arcadia community and she organized a protest vs. radioaktivity, I think. But (cry) Sims3 crashed in this moment. 🐸🐸🐸🐸! And not saved.

That picture is probably the funniest I have seen yet Athenaia, I love the anger over such a relevant factor in their lives. I'm sorry to hear the game crashed while this was happening, things like that always upset me!

also, I got around to updating all the pictures on the front page. I forgot to change the IMG codes when i moved the images to a new folder.

    Oh, that's okay, Money :)
My games crashed 'cause I have got a wrong mod... I deleted some mods and now It's running :)
Oh, I know this error with images :D It!s really annoying :D You are really patient if you want to change the codes :)

PS: Manne's sisters are pregnant. I don't know with who, but I hope it is not the same sim :D

Money.....Did you get the Lucky Simolean yet?

If so be careful about adding the slot machines to this world....They're more like cash dispensers.....In one Sim month a hard core slot-addict Sim could easily make a hundred grand!

The Blackjack Tables should be fine (and the Sim-Bot dealers will fit in well).

Thank you for that piece of advice, simhead. I still don't own the slot machines (they went on sale, and I forgot i had some code for a few simpoints when I bought seasons. darn.) In actuality, I'm not so much planning to add the slot machines here since I've been tinkering around with some mechanics for another post-apocalyptic world. I don't want to get too much detail in case things don't work out, but I'm prepping hardcore for my next planned upcoming world. (I'm likely going to not work on that Wind Waker remake, and the Seneriss world is beginning to pick up too much cobwebs to dust off(though I'll try to get something from that world out.)) I'll highly likely create a thread for it once my summer vacation begins and I actually have some sketches and pictures to show. For now, It's creating a couple meshes and learning how to use an entirely different modding device from an entirely different game to extract meshes. If this all works out as planned, something big is coming for all you dystopic fans who hear what I hear when I close my eyes, lean back, and take a sip from a glass soda bottle.

I reckon this world has a lot of potential, it's got a great feel to it.....Just needs more polishing.

Once I've got my own version stabilised (Still having Script Errors with all large animals.....I need to upload the reports to NRaas and find out what's going on.), I'll have a crack at making a few things (first time for me) that I reckon might add to the atmosphere.

Just discovered all my lots are covered in little silver spheres which are labelled 'dog generic idle jig' (I can only interact with them using 'moveobjects').....I strongly suspect that this may be a big part of the problem!

Simhead, I've never heard about such a thing, I wonder if there is a way to exploit them for further world creation, such as changing meshes of wild animals perhaps? or removing them from worlds? In a massive world I'm planning intensively right now, I'm looking into ways of changing the wild animals in a large sense. I believe I might have seen someone change horses into zebras in one world, but I'm not too sure.

These are the last two weeks of studio for me, then three more weeks before I fly home. I've been tinkering around with some possible summer world projects, and have two for-sures, a probably, and some random ideas.

Heres the list for the summer (In no particular order)

I plan to update Arcadia, but I'm not going to expand upon the city much else except for refining. I do have something big planned for you all though... Just think of Arcadia as a prequel to a story for now ;) I will post these things around the beginning of my summer vacation, just have patience.

The other major project would be to continue on the Bright Falls world, though the emphasis will likely not be on that.

The world with Zebras was probably Ziwa Bonde.....It looks a bit good! I've got a sim called Stanley Livingston preparing to explore it by hot-air balloon using NRaas Traveler.

    http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/627739.page

Things are not going so well with Arcadia.....The mystery build objects ('jigs') seem to interfere with routing and were causing bigger problems. Deleting them only seems to be a temporary fix. I tried reinstalling the world (twice) but the same problem with large animals and the 'jigs' keeps recurring.

I've been forced to abandon the world for the moment.....Which is a shame because I really like the feel of it.

I'm wondering if the small size of the lots might be part of the issue.....If you do update, it might be worth spreading things out just a little. maybe drop the existing lots onto 20x20s or 20x30s. I'd be interested in helping out with sims or maybe lots for an update if you want to spread the workload.

Bigger lots blegh. If theres something you should know about me, it's that I like cramming things up nice and personal together. I feel as if the things in EA's worlds are oversized for the amount of people living there. I mean, why have a school literally three stories tall for a total of seven classmates?! Smaller lots = smaller towns = more expansive worlds. I haven't been able to hammer down on this world right now. I'm just really not in the mood to work out the finite technical details of things, so I guess i could say I've also put this on hold :P I did start another project which I've been tinkering around with, I'll have time this Thursday and Friday after class to really get into it. Right now... it's just a lot of homework...

For those of you who are keeping up to date with what I'm doing with my worlds, here's the basic workload

    Arcadia = Technical issues

    Bright Falls = Reference Creating

Jeanne (started this past Tuesday) = Own Ideas

Seneriss = On Hold until all 10 EP's

Finally, I have a few other worlds I've begun, or have begun planning which I don't necessarily want to talk too much about. This summer will have a lot of world-working.

Simhead, looks like you're the only one having those issues, as none of your problems are happening to me either. In fact, this is one of the smoothest-running worlds I use. No offense Simhead, but you might want to do more thorough testing (disable all other mods/worlds, try out many various settings etc) before asking a creator to drastically change his work around in order to accommodate your own needs. Not to mention the fact these small lots really help give this world a wonderfully unique feel IMO (especially when compared to the spaced-out, bland EA-made worlds). Please don't change a THING in that regard, Money. :)

Again, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to what you do next with this world, along with your others. Take your time, and I'm sure it'll be well-worth the wait.

Thank You Uberdubie, I honestly haven't picked this world up for awhile, I just can't bare to deal with all the technical features of it right now. I'm really glad to hear it's very smooth-running, That's a definite cookie for lunch tomorrow. All my world making efforts right now are divided among five different worlds, each one working on whichever seems the most fun. (Fun work = Quality work)

Arcadia - this one with some updating techniques
Bright Falls - Technical Problems with uploading a testing world gave me too many headaches
Jeanne - New world when I want to blow off some steam and create something more normal*
Seneriss - Resumed and now an intense and major project with many many awesome ideas
[Secret] - will need to collect data from a game, take notes, and learn to mesh. (Probably might not start as early as planned since I resumed Seneriss)

*I don't really understand the concept of Normal.

I don't recall asking Money to do anything.....I made a suggestion based on my own experiences and offered to help if needed/wanted.

I quite agree with you about the close feel of the world, nevertheless the routing problems remain, for me at least.

Simhead, I'm not too experienced with the techincal details (especially when it comes to having modded games). Are you playing the world with a bunch of mods, or are you playing it vanilla (or with the reccomended ones on the front page. B/c if those are out-dated I'll have to edit that post).

    Money,

Are you still planning on releasing an updated version of the world for the newer expansions? (if you already have and I missed it, my bad!)

Also, I don't mean to be demanding, but if it would be possible to release a version not requiring World Adventures or Showtime, that would be awesome. Or even just not requiring Showtime - I find it breaks my game and is impossible to really have, but I can put my WA back in if I have to (just took it out b/c I never use it).

But this world looks AMAZING, and I would love love love to have it in my game!
