Hello everyone
With Seasons on the near horizon {22June2018} I am considering updating some of my challenges. Specifically the beginning stages when starting without shelter. Hopefully I can get a copy of #TS4Seasons and test the impact of weather on each challenge.
Stay tuned for more information and as always thank you for supporting my creations and challenges.
@EuphorialQueen - I realized I forgot to show off my sim, Heather Underwood. I've been playing on Long - I don't like Normal play because it makes everything so rushed and I don't get to enjoy my game as much - but no cheats.
The night before last (in game), this:
And today, when she emerged from her tent:
I totally forgot that I had set MCCC to allow for insimination of all genders! So this is going to complicate things a little! What sort of dispensations are allowed for toddlers? Or do I have to send the baby back to Sixam?
@Faoiltearna Heather looks like she is ready for anything ... well almost
I respect your choice to play on a different lifespan.

Sending them back to Sixam is something I can never bear to do because I Aliens.
Toddlers in general are something I may need to address. As this is a special (and unexpected) circumstance you can buy what you need to take care of the child. Since a Toddler cannot get food from the cooler I would allow wither feeding them from your inventory. Or a cheap fridge and one counter. Let me know what you think is needed.

@EuphorialQueen Yay! I aliens, too, and would've been sad to have to send the baby back - even if it is totally unexpected! I'm guessing that the trip to the hospital is okay, or should I buy a bassinet and give birth on the lot?
I've purchased a cheap fridge, and might have to add a counter to make food for the toddler. Clearly, a toddler bed will be needed, and I'll try to keep the expenses down as low as I possibly can. It would be awesome if wood-working allowed us to make toys for them. I haven't gotten my skill high enough to find out yet.

Either is fine
Unfortunately toys cannot be made but they do not cost much. The bookcase for toddlers is okay as well.
Toddlers can play in tents now ( I think) and when the time comes you can have a stove long enough for a birthday cake.
Children / teens can also go to school.
When I get Seasons I will be looking at this and other challenges. When I do I will add notes for toddlers/children.
Because of MCCC, I can turn off the need for school (I've done it before so that the kids/teens can have more time at home to do fun things and work on their skills), so I can easily keep her on the lot. I'll keep the stove in mind for the birthday.
Introducing Yvonne Underwood (my 9 yr old son named her), daughter of Heather Underwood and Senior Pollination Technician #3:
I love the fact that she's green! Very appropriate for the Eco Existence.

@Rawla Thanks! This is my first alien baby, in all of the Sims games I've played (I've still got my original discs from Sims, Sims 2, and Sims 3) - plenty of abductions, no babies. I'm ridiculously excited about Yvonne!
@Faoiltearna I would have my copy of Sims 1 too but I gave it away. I have all of them but I've had a few alien birth's already. Since this is your first, MEGA AWESOME! Yvonne is very special indeed!
I have MCCC settings set to allow more than the usual alien abductions and have both genders able to get pollinated. Strange thing is, I've not had one abduction in all 5 generations of my family so far.
@Rawla I have MCCC set the same way - more than the usual number of abductions. My other single sim, Marisol, who lives in a high rise in the city, has been abducted several times but she's not gotten pregnant yet. This one really surprised me given the number of abductions Marisol has had.
I'm guessing that the trip to the hospital is okay, or should I buy a bassinet and give birth on the lot?
Either is fine
So for whatever reason, the option to go to the hospital never appeared. Instead, Sim Social Services teleported a bassinet to Heather, and she gave birth at home. Solved that problem. Didn't have to buy the bassinet, didn't have to go to the hospital.
@Faoiltearna Silly aliens are silly. lol I love them though. Guess that's what makes the babies so special. They are rare. Almost 2am for me here. Good night. Happy Simming!
So hopefully I am doing this right... here is Natalie! I think this is probably the most ugliest lot I have built lol. She has the freelance botanist aspiration. As for traits she loves outdoors, creative, and perfectionist.

It does not have to be pretty to be livable Keeping it simple will keeps those bills in check. Those simoleons will just keep stacking right on up. Soon you will be able to have a really nice home.
