@BlueWizardRob@rosemow i sometimes get the table bubble to pop up if I first talk to the assistant. i know it's not a fix but it seems to help with the issue sometimes
I have a question when your sim has kids with another players sim do the kids get the parent in their contacts? Meaning my sim had 2 kids with this other players sim and the daughter is an adult now but her father isn’t in her contacts. Also he isn’t part of my household they just had kids together.
Hello
If the daughter talks to the sim that is her dad and starts a friendship with him, he will show as her dad in the contacts section.
I would have thought that but they have done events together and her mom is the only one that has him in her contacts she still doesn’t have her father in her contacts.
He should appear in her contacts if she has done events with him. Try seeing if there is an option when playing the daughter and clicking on the sim that says “ add to contacts “.

I have started talking to the assistant first always. It is the only action other than the tables that the higher reward. It also isn't dependent on getting the tables to pop up so you can deliver something.

Using the ingredient counter is also good to get the higher reward.

She is in the way of cooking. I just stared a shift, the tables were working, now only one is working but there are no sims at that table. I'm serving to no one but at least i can serve.
I can’t seem to find an answer to this anywhere... maybe someone here can help?? Do traits stack? For example, is it worth giving your sim the ambitious trait (better at all careers) and also the foodie one (better at barista and culinary careers)?

Hello @Why_tho_101
Welcome to the forums It is worth giving your sim both traits. They both help the sim in their career, and also if they change from one career to amother career later on ,it will help them in their second chosen career.
Is there a way to remove existing walls/doors/windows in your home? I would like to reconfigure my house but haven't figured this part out.
yes. you have to go into build mode icon . once your in mode, you have to pick doors, windows , rooms etc icons. You then press on the windows or doors and it will give you the option to move, change color, put item in storage or cancel action. For rooms you go to the room icon and you can move walls to make the room wider, delete the room, or cancel action. You have to clear your land in order to change your house. This costs sim coins to do and will get more expensive with each patch of grass you remove.
Anyone know how to complete the quest "complete a family event with an elder"? I'm stuck on this and c as not figure it out.
Hello
This quest would require you to have one of your playable sims do an event such as as a mentoring event with a Sim that you have recently retired and is still in the home. Recently retired sims have special events that you can do with them.

The only events that appear when I choose my retired sim, is "begin friendship" or the regular discussion things like, tell a joke, etc

@rosemow I did not get those special events after I retired my sim. Maybe it's a game bug? My game had the same issue as @Bg81 is posting when I retired my sim.

Hello
There is a special icon over the head of the retired sim and an icon in the events section when you click on the retired sim to start an event , and they can mentor other sims who have a career or hobby . The retired sim needs to have had a career or hobby and the playable sim needs to currently have a career or a hobby.
@rosemow my retired sim had a job and hobby both in cooking He would get the family bubble event over his head. He did not have options to teach his grandson anything. just the normal events like hang out at the cub, quick chat etc When he retired I got an heirloom and when he left the game i got another heirloom. Both in cooking
