Please help, how do I get to Member Rank? I do not care about links and photos. I want to be able to edit. I can understand why no links but why take away editing from new members?

Hello @Jemcrystal
There are issues at the moment with the site not registering new members as full members, even though they have the required posts and points. I hope that they will be resolved for you and other new members very soon.
Hello @ElenPink Welcome to the forums! As is posted in the first post of this thread, you need to have 50 points and 30 posts before you can become a full member and can then post pictures, have a signature, start new threads, edit posts , post links that show up correctly and change your profile picture. This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/770609/member-or-new-member-everything-you-need-to-know
You receive a point each time another simmer presses like or awesome or insightful on a post that you have posted. Keep posting on the different sections of the forums and you will soon get the points/posts. The off topic section is a good place to start posting . http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/off-topic-chat
You will soon get the required points and posts if you also post about your simming experiences on threads that you are interested in the thread topics.
Forum restrictions are silencing your customers. I have been playing the Sims for over 16 years, ever since Sims 1, and have been a member of this site since 2010. But since I'm a "new member" I can't create a thread. So if I have an issue that no one else seems to have posted about yet, and I'm completely dependent on others to like my posts before I can do that. I know spam is an issue - but there's so many other factors that make it obvious I'm a real person. All the games are digital downloads now, which means you can easily attach game purchases to accounts to allow your customers to have a voice.

Hello @sparkles555
Welcome to the forums. You have the required points, but just need to make a few more posts and then you will become a full member and can start your own thread.
Just in case you didn’t know, the number of points and posts needed since this thread was started has changed. You now need to have 25 points and 15 posts before you can become a full member. This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest
I appreciate the update, but I stand by my statements. Purchasing the game and tying it to an account should be enough of a verification for spam.
I think one of the reasons why they haven't done the tie in is because of some of the members on here are still playing TS, TS2 as well as some of the older Sims games, so those codes more than likely have been used on the sites for those games. And we all know those older sites no longer exist anymore. Even when we had the old TS3 forums and the game had to be registered before anyone could write out a post, we still had players who would still use the site to spam non-Sims related posts.
