OK since everything else on the quiz seems to be in the game, more or less, what's up with the volunteering options?? Can anyone tweet to a Guru about that maybe? I don't have Twitter, hahaha. @SimGuruNinja You can't have a BEACH CLEANUP without a BEACH...
You'll be able to use the phone and take your family to one of several volunteering options. It's a rabbithole activity (like school) and you'll be presented with choices on how to proceed. There is rewards & consequences to your choices.
That sounds really cool! Do you have to take the entire family or can you leave one or more behind? Say you have a teen that's on restriction can you choose for them not to go along as part of their punishment? Or if you have a toddler you can leave the teen at home to babysit?
I just wanted to point out that from the trailer we really haven't seen much new stuff for the toddlers beside the one new outfit and the mess making. When the sims were eating at the dinner table I didn't even see a matching height chair for the chair set.
So far we haven't even seen new hairs either.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have Twitter. I thought we could have a thread for questions that people have about the upcoming Parenthood pack.
1. Is the chart with stars and dots on it interactive or just décor? I noticed in one shot it has a clockface with 9:00 and in another the clockface is 11:00, suggesting that it might be a way to set curfew. Can you also schedule chores?
2. Will the school projects be available in buy mode, or do you only get them from school?
3. Can the parenting skill be learned from a book?
4. The quiz listed some options for volunteer activities. Will these exist in-game? As rabbit-holes, perhaps?
1) It's interactive. Family Bulletin Board. Among other things you'll be able to set and adjust curfew times here.
2) They'll come from school, but you can buy them also. (There are several!)
3) Sure, Magazines and Online Forums are a great way to help a new parent out.
4) Rabbithole volunteering w/ wide variety of choices you make throughout the activity

Is there anything else for teens to do/be apart from getting punished, set curfew and anything else (that isn't the same as for children/younger sims)?
@SimGuruNinja Is the parenting skill similar to the vampire tree in terms of uh...branchability? Or is it more like a 3-4 fork-in-the-road divergent kind of result/end?
Also are the traits like the regular traits or more akin to the Toddler "had a good childhood so here are some skill boosts" traits?
@SimGuruNinja I have a question can parents take over the "Science" project (ie the volcano?) since you can't have parenthood GP without at least ONE parent being THAT one.
Just something small I noticed : There's wall-mounted skateboard decks in this image
And in this one the teen wears a hoodie with a logo that looks like it took inspiration from Element, a skater brand.
I mean it's probably because I wanted skate-related stuff for months now, but I just love the attention to detail
Also that flannel shirt around her waist was something we've only really seen with cc before. I wonder if it's a standalone accessory or tied to the pants, although I'm guessing the latter.
I'm telling myself it's just decorations and indicative of nothing so I won't get disappointed, but skating is the activity I really, really want. My kids and teens need this... Skating was the best part of being a teenager.
I'm really excited Sims can set the tables! Does this mean they will actually sit at the set table settings instead of grabbing their plates to sit on beds near other sims?
I am so feverishly excited for this game pack that I'm, like......almost vibrating? A part of me -- that obsessive part that I like to pretend doesn't exist -- has me wanting to refresh the forums until the pack's release. I wish I hadn't heard anything or seen anything. I'm going to miss being able to focus on literally anything else.

your heart says your never to old but your bones after awhile say yes you are
but if you can put up with your bones yelling at you then more power to you
Does this mean they'll finally stop walking past the dining table with their food & going to sit on the beds to eat? Because that's driving me up the freaking wall.

that is exactly what i hope. like for example you can decide how to punish your kids rather then just have it kind of randomly decided for you.
Nice! I love this GP already ~sz~

Did the teenage height decrease with this patch?
In this screen shot, you can see the key difference height adult and teenager sim.

It has been confirmed that there is no change in teen height.
