nothing happens I followed all the instructions before but still the same things happen I only got this from Origin while I am installing it. For hours I got this screen of Origin I waited for a long time.
@bootsguy That laptop is below minimum requirements for the game, both in the CPU and in the graphics, and it has the absolute minimum possible RAM. There's no way you're going to get anything but massive lag and computer overheating if it will run at all. Better laptops than that overheat. I recommend just not.
I have been playing The Sims 4 since 2014 using this laptop and I see no problem at all.. Only when this broke few weeks ago and lost all my files including Origin when I have this issue and could not download Origin...
How do I update the drivers then?
You've been very lucky to get away with it so far, but your specs say that there is going to a problem eventually, and you've now found out when. You cannot realistically expect that when your machine doesn't even meet minimum requirements, you will keep being able to play as the game gets updated. And EA has no obligation to help you to do so if you don't meet minimum requirements. They might help you with Origin, though. If nothing we suggest makes a difference for getting Origin to work, you need to be in touch with EA Help.
You update drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website. But it doesn't matter. You will still have way too little computer power to continue running the game long-term.

Hello
Are you having computer issues in general when you are not playing the Sims? If you are, I hope that you will be able to resolve the issues soon.
1. View hidden files and folders
2. Delete all content -> C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Origin
3. Delete all content -> C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Roaming \ Origin
4. Access to your browser (chrome in my case) and delete all Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
In step 4, we will see the website of Origin correctly. (And to download the updated OriginThinSetup.exe).
(If it works Origin website in a browser and not in another, it is because we need to delete cookies and cache on this browser too)
Hopefully, after following these steps, you can get Origin installed properly.
Try shutting down your computer completely. Then restart the computer and see if the issue remains.
If the issue remains, try uninstalling and reinstalling origin.
I had a problem with Origin too... I got an error but I forgot what it was, are you getting a message with an error? Cause if Origin is telling you what's wrong you can google the error and find a solution, it worked for me, but my laptop was also below specs and that was one of the many issues I started having before I gave up the sims on the old computer.
I got this screen from Origin. Is it still downloading and have to wait or what do I do with this?
Did you get it installed and updated. This is the first time since last month I let Origin connect to internet and update 10.4.5 will not install, driving me crazy. It comes up with an error.

Hello
There has been an origin update recently. If you are haven't be able to update Origin, try uninstalling origin and then reinstalling origin and see if that helps the issue.
Hi, yea tried that. When I go to update or reinstall because it vanishes it comes up with an error about not having permissions. Even though I an the administrator on the Pc. Also, I have tried deleting the files from the drive folder, but it won't allow me to do it because 'Im not the administrator.' I definitely am. Clearly that's a laptop issue.
Like I said though, the way I have to get around it is to clean boot my Pc. Had to do it the last two times origin wanted to update.

It is good to know that clean booting has helped with this issue in your game. Other simmers having the same issues can also try doing that to help their issue.
Click on a taskbar, click Start Task Manger. While Origin.exe is loading end process Origin. Click yes and it should quit Origin. Now click The Sims 4 again. It worked for me.
Wait, that laptops compatible on the low end, hold on let me look something up. please stand by:)
How did your computer break, was it dropped or what?
If the computer was dropped and the hard drive was reformatted you will want to run this at the command line:
chkdsk [Drive]: /F /R
So if I wanted to check my disk for errors or bad sectors I would use chkdsk C: /F /R
"/F" Fixes any corrupt areas of a disk and "/R" looks for bad sectors and recovers material from it and removes it from use ever again.
Edit: Also chkdsk may ask you to schedule a chkdsk at boot, as it can not fix or check a disk if the volume is in use, if you get a prompt yes or no choose yes.
memory can also accidently be put in a bad sector.
*Also if the company reinstalled the OS for the computer check the back of your laptop and make sure the key matches that one or you may have a registry file error.
*Only applies if it was bought with windows 7

I was having the same issue with Origin after the latest Origin update. As odd as it may sound I found a thread on the EA site (sorry can't find it now) that suggested shutting down both your router and or cable modem then bringing them back up again. This resolved the issue for me.

Hello
It is kind of you to post what helped to fix the issue in your game
You probably had all that before Origin updated or the game was updated to 64 bits - - as your pc is not even capable of running a 64 bit game. Most likely Origin never upgraded itself on your pc because it would have seen that was not possible and now you are trying to download an Origin client and game your pc can no longer handle. It was fine while you had the old version but now that version is no longer available. Plus with only 2 gigs of ram Windows is taking up all your ram practically. Even your dedicated video is only 64mb ( that needs at least 250 or higher - that is way below even Origins requirements - never mind the games.
I was having a similar issue every time Origin had an update. Origin would always encounter an error and said "No Network Commection" which was obviously not true, because my computer was connected to the internet. I learned quick how the solve the problem though. Instead of just clicking on Origin normally, right click instead and then select the "Run As Administration" It will then prompt you to "allow Origin to make changes". Click YES. This should fix the update issue AND may even force the program to start. Hope this helps!
EDIT: If this method doesn't work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Origin. Make sure to go into your "Windows Program Files x89" and delete the Origin folder. Also check in your Documents and delete any Folders labeled Origin. This will not harm your Games. Then go on to reinstall Origin. After that, please refer back to my previous directions and run as "Admin"

It would be good to go to the HP website and search for your laptop model . Then update your laptop with drivers there.

It could also be something in your computer that is conflicting with it. Try disabling all background tasks and install Origin again.

Only fix I found was to clean boot Pc. Can find instructions online. Hope that helps if you haven't tried it already. It's so annoying..
Hello
I am sorry that you are having issues with Origin. Perhaps try manually uninstalling then reinstalling origin, and it may help with the issues.
