What is #ProjectIndex ?
#ProjectIndex is, as
@mastressalita says, "the ultimate potluck" in SimLit reading!
The goal is to sample as much amazing SimLit as possible by reading a little (or a lot) of the works in the various indices on the Forums!
If you participate in the
Writers' Lounge (and we invite you to!), then you might want to sample the works listed in
the index of the Writers' Lounge first post.@mastressalita also has a comprehensive
Stories and Legacies Index and a
Stories and Legacies Archive .
As you read, please stop by here to share what you love about what you're reading! Please tag the person whose work you read, and either link to that person's story or mention which index it came from, so that other readers can find it, too.
Index of Indices
Here's a list of the indices you can sample from! If you know of other indices, please let us know and we'll post them here.
How can you get your work listed on these indices? Just PM the person who's listed as the keeper.

Happy Reading!

I love the various points of view of the characters and how the voices change with each character! I got to know Ike, Leonora, Mike, and Ikey when they came to S-GAS, and so I've got a real fondness for them. Ike is legendary!

Yeah! You can also check out the Simmer's page to see what Sims are there. I usually only bring them over for collaborative projects, but lots of people upload others' Sims into their games!

And if that fails: just ask. Even if the answer is "no", now you know!

So I had announced before that I'm doing #ProjectIndex by sampling from the Stories and Legacies Index and doing a weekly reading write-up. My first edition of Weekly Reading Roundup is out! You can see the full write-up over here:
Edition #1: January Legacy Launch-Off!
For the first week of January I have sampled legacies... and since it is also the first week of a brand-new year, these are all brand-new legacies! Each one I sampled have been started within the last three months, and are still within the first two generations!
The works featured in my debut issue are The Ambrose Legacy by @BobbieBlue23 , Bogsmirth Legacy by @gurllivinlarge , The Cohen Legacy by @Peach77 , A Day in the Life of the Foxcrests by @irishshedevil , The Japan Legacy by @iiimee , The Huffman Legacy by @ra3rei , The Pollak Legacy by @pixalqueen , The Noble Legacy by @Ruby10990 , The Sterling Legacy by @emilyduru , and Waters Legacy by @shiba306 . (And Ashes to Ashes by @CitizenErased14 gets a mention even though I didn't sample it because I'm saving myself from possible spoilers until I've read Dust to Dust. ^_^;; )
So for the full write-up, just head over here and check it out!

I wanted to ask-- is it okay to comment on your roundup thread? Somehow, it seems so beautiful and well-organized, that it feels like it would be a shame to comment But I'd love to keep commenting!
Maybe it's just my librarian curse that my threads turn out looking well-organized? ^_^;;;

Such a good choice of rotation story! I'm also a huge fan of July's Vortex. Glad to see you enjoying it as much as I did, for practically the same reasons too!
Now while I no this is not simlit in a traditional sense, I recently checked out Virtualee's "Cursed beauty" series on Youtube and I loved it She does a mix of storytelling and gameplay so basically she shows screenshots and then reads her story (she has an amazing way of voicing her characters) this is usually about 5 minutes per episode an then she shows 5-10 minutes of gameplay with these characters. The video's have a great length and the storytelling is wonderful and animate.
Here's the link to the playlist, if anyone is interested

I've also started @rednenemon 's The Racket-Rotter Chronicles, which is awesome! I seriously love the family dynamics going on, and Sinbad is awesome. I love the relationship between Sinbad and Shark. So adorable!
Oh, yay! I'm a long-time fan of Skinner Saga!
And I just started Rackett-Rotter, too, which I really love! I'm looking forward to reading it slowly, novel-style.

Oh, I guess they're similar! Archives tend to imply storage--keeping things for reference later. I think that @mastressalita uses the word "archive" for her list of completed works, and "index" for her list of works that are currently being updated.

yea i can join in febuary. i missed january because i had to fix my story(make it a blog)
The Stories and Legacies Index are all works submitted by currently-active members of these forums, that have had updates within the last three months (that is, they are currently-active works) or they are completed.
The Stories and Legacies Archive is a sister thread of the Index that originally started when I needed a place to store those works by forum members that are currently on hiatus (not updating right now, but may again in the future) or are officially discontinued, as I wanted these things to be separated from the main Index but still available. In addition, it also houses works that could be considered "blasts from the past" -- things by either non-active EA forum members (they haven't been on these forums for more than three months) or non-EA forum members. These works could range in any status from completed, to discontinued (this is the case for a lot of them, sadly), to on hiatus. Some of the works by non-EA forum members are still active and updating! But because they aren't forum members, I can't ask them to join the main Stories and Legacies Index, which requires the written approval of the author to be listed. So it's sort of a place for "everything else."
If you want currently-active works by currently-active forum members, the Stories and Legacies Index is my main archive that I update every day. That's the place you'd go to submit your own site. It even tracks new updates for everyone that registers their site there! But if you, say, want to find something like Candi's Uglacy that was read for Book Club this week, you'd find something like that at the Stories and Legacies Archive.
