I like how they have dancing now, but I would love if the couples could actually dance together... maybe even slow dance. I miss that from Sims 2, I think it was.

If we ever get an 80s stuffpack and can have zoo animals in the household, then I want a PANTHER.

@Vininianne, no, it wasn't forgotten. It doesn't qualify. As in the first sentence of the post, this list is of "developed" ideas and, as is explained later:

Note: What gets added to the list is subjective. It's not based on what I like or don't like, but on the amount of development of the pack idea. There are a number of pack ideas with just a sentence or two about them, but I've skipped those as they haven't demonstrated that there is enough material for a whole pack or indicated what direction they would like to see the pack go in. If you click the links, you'll see the ones that do make it on the list have a moderate to extensive amount of development of the idea either in the OP or further down in the thread.

If you'd like to have that item appear here, then develop it enough that it demonstrates that there is enough content and gameplay for a complete pack. Take a look at some of the other links in the list to see what is expected.

    How about this:

    Getting Crafty! (EP)

Idea: I thought it would be extremely neat to have optional crafting available in the sims to be expanded upon more. What if we have an expansion pack that is exclusively dedicated to different types of crafts and the ability to use those crafts as a means to earn simoleans? There are plenty of varying crafts in the world, so why not incorporate these into the game. Heck, I do some crafting partially as a hobby and for business. Here are some ideas below.

Aromatherapy Craft (The herbalism skill can be put to good use here as well), sims can create an array of finely scented products from soaps, to candles, and even specialty oils. Sims can earn the holistic trait or earn an uplifted emotion from creating a successful blend/product.

Glass Blowing Craft, sims can create beautiful pieces of artwork from glass!

Pottery, Sims can make their own vases, trays, and what not that is not available in buy/build mode and can sell it for a nice buck if it's nicely made.

    Woodwork

And maybe our sims can start their own website and earn money from selling their wares online or maybe selling their items in shops?

I actually like the idea about herbalism skills used in perfume making and Glass blowing craft. But for the first one EA would have to create more herbs (flowers) for the game since most of the herbs are in GP Outdoor Retreat.

I liked the "On the Road" idea from the survey. Give us that and a Lucky Palms-esque world and we can turn the Sims 4 into Hotline Miami.

That's true. Honestly, I'm not sure how many herbs we have in the game, but if we can use the ones we do have now and even some of the fruit, we can make a few different types of perfumes and candles. I also don't know how much work goes into make these herbs and fruit, but if the developers can make us a few more plus a few other items like a mini lab or a new lot like a Farmer's Market.

This is an amazing list! I also think that simple things like Tweens and toddlers should be added. or even Weather/Seasons would be great! Also, More pool shapes (like circular, kind of like in the sims 3), more transportation ideas besides walking, like cars and bikes. Supernatural abilities besides aliens would also be amazing. And another thing, Turn ons and Turn offs like from the sims 2. More traits, Emotions, Memories and lifetime wishes for sure! The sims 3 had so many traits and stuff it was great. Babies need improvement. More careers would be nice, and being famous or whatever, i'm pretty sure that was on the sims 3? maybe not, but that would be cool. a pack like university life would be amazing. Maybe, Get to school? You could send young adults to college, Teens to highschool, Tweens to Middleschool, Children to Elementary school and Toddlers to Daycare or Preschool. Also... PETS! We NEEEED Pets! They make the game way more interesting and it's great to have a pet. We should be able to walk them, customize them, name them (of course) and play with them, stuff like that. Also, the Dog lover and Cat lover traits were like my favorites. A Zoo or a Farm or a Beach would also be great! Vacations. More vacations. I think that would be so much fun tbh! I also think the Theme park thing is a great idea!

    Teens/Tweens:
    -Getting your drivers license
-Going to slumber parties, pool parties or prom at school
    -Having curfews
    -Getting Grounded
    -Making a Band

    Toddlers/Children:
    -Dressup Parties
    -Hide and Seek
    -Crushes

    Elders:
    -Knitting
    -Sharing old photos
    -Telling stories

    Adults/Young Adults:
    -Life Crisis

    City/Urban Life:
    -Being Homeless

Hi The Sims team and the Simming community!

Okay everyone I think it is safe to say we need a new vacation spot, because my sim has to many vacation days and I can't tell you how tired I am of the camping game pack. I need a place to easily pay my 30000 dollar bills with my phone, not rough it out in bear poop and pray my kids don't go on a hike! the unparalleled anxiety of showering at the Hermits house because you don't have your own is not my idea of a vacation. What we need specifically is an island paradise resort type of vacation! this could have many of benefits especially around this time of year! don't have time to go on a tropical vacation? well with The Sims 4 you can experience one!

    some ideas that I have:
you can go to a resort or a "shack" if you will and you can tan,
swim in the pools or in lagoon with a waterfall,
    fish
    take island culture dancing lessons
    build sand castles
island bars and waiters who walk around with trays while you are relaxing on the sand on a chaise lounge chair
    night time shows
little shops that sell island wear, even mysterious objects that can be used at home as souvenirs
    bird watching and water sports
night time activities and games on the beach like volley ball too. and we already have a spa game pack an things like the bon fire! we can even have new food and drink recipes that you can learn and island life decorative objects! and island stories from the people who run the resorts
a bell hop can bring your bags and you can check in and out of your room, there's the staff that clean your room and check up on your needs and of coarse that would introduce a new lot type!
there can even be honeymoon packages!
new island clothes and nautical furniture!

all these things could be done in the boundaries of a game pack!

oh I was also thinking about incorporating a gossiping system into the game as an update! you can turn it on or off but you would get o know the town a little more and you're sims life would be more realistic. the player would feel as if you are more involved honestly, its like you're sims know the norm in you're town but you don't, like you fully don't know the culture you are creating for example?

what ideas do you guys have??

Im not suggesting an idea for a Sims 4 Pack but rather something that kind of bothers me about the packs and that is the lack of clothing/hair options for male sims. With every pack, female sims receive more clothing/hair options than male sims. Would it hurt to have an even number of items for both genders?

    Family Pack
Sorry if im repeating what others have said

    Baby/Toddler
It would be nice if they can unattached babies from bassinet and bring back toddlers

    Thing to do with
*Toddlers can help parents or older siblings with projects like helpin in the garden or helpin in the kitchen babies
*toddlers can catch colds which cause them 2 cry more
*When moms take the kids to the park they baby/toddlers can fall asleep in the stroller
*parents can go for a run or walk while pushing stroller
*Toddlers can stay home w/ mom and learn how to walk talk or potty train or for the working parents they can get enroll to apreschool and learn how
*parents can multi-task while holding babies or toddlers or can wear a baby carrier on their chest *parents can bathe baby or multiple toddles in the tub at once
*toddlers can draw on the wall and get in trouble
*toddlers can crawl into the bed with parents if they get scared night give the parent a "a surprise guest" moodlet

    Thing to buy
    -add new cribs
-rattles & other baby new toy
-a baby bouncer (can seat on the counter or table and watch their mom cooking or clean)
    -walkers
-car seats if they bring back cars
-baby monitors and a mobile monitor for their parent --pacifiers
    -diaper bag
    -strollers
    -teething rings
    -highchairs can attached 2 table
    -add a toddler bed
-add king size bed (so toddler and child crawl in with parents)

    For the other
    Child/pre-teen/teen
*Children can get scared of the dark or Monsters or thunderstorms (seasons) and crawl into bed with parents or older siblings *can i sleep with you?*
    *sleepover parties
    *Teen parties
    *private school
*children can get crushes on older Sims
    -Like older brother/sisters friends
    If you add preteens
*able to choose to be a goody two-shoes or a rebel
    *get acne
*braces will have to go to the doctor to get them taken off and put on
*try to get in with the cool kids
*if you bring back cars then teens can go for a joyride in their parents car
*beg parents to teach how to drive
    *Beg parents for a car
*they all can join after school Sports or ballet and family can attend games or ballet recitals
    *bring back curfews
    *School dances
*if kid gets in trouble at school parents have to leave work early to pick up kid and talk to teacher
    Adults
    *Baby showers
    *family reunions
    *anniversary parties
    *Bachelor/bachelorette parties
*have a daycare or an educational career
*can get ultrasounds or be able to go to get a checkup from the doctor where the doc determines gender
    *have midlife crisis
*able to discipline kids scold/gounded/ sent to military school

    Other fun unrelated idea
a Vegas themed world where Sims can go with their friends to hang out at the casinos. there are also be wedding chapels where Sims can marry strangers after drinking too much and the next day have "a wake up married shocked" they have a choice to stay married or not
    - a car lot where Sims are able to buy cars cash or get a car notes and if they don't pay the car note then the Repo Man can come take the car they will have a 12 hour chance to get it back before the car is gone for good

I am all for anything that brings back the things from previous versions we all loved. My son wont even consider playing sims4, he says its too boring and I can agree. He loves what Sims3 became with all the expansions and goodies, functioning businesses, weather, islands, world travel, supernatural, magic, dating, romance, carnivals, pets, whole families, past, future and mystical worlds to explore. Every new incarnation of the sims starts off far too sterile from the previous version we have grown to love.
*I think the whole family dynamic is totally off without toddlers and that experience of growing up; potty training, learning to walk, talk, drawing on walls, making messes, figuring out how balls and other things work, learning what is funny and to laugh or telling nonsense stories.
*Children are good but we need more options for them. Home school, public school, private school, military school. Sometimes it is good to be able to send kids off and have them come back older and more educated.
*What ever happened to teen events like prom, crushes, that awkward first date, playing sports, graduation and getting that diploma, taking college or aptitude tests and going off to college or traveling the world to find your way, hooking up with a band, becoming a carnie at a carnival, studying art in a foreign country. A music career should be more than just a solo event, what about a band act and more instruments. Jazz quartet, orchestra, country bumpkins playing banjo and washtub, rock guitar bands; choreographer, stage designs, light shows, or managing a band and having the connections to get them the gigs to make them stars. There is lots more to that career that could be expanded on.
*College/upper education needs an over-haul from previous versions. In society today we have adult students that take classes online while working and raising kids or doing their college long distance, some do go to traditional college right from High School with that traditional college experience, frats, sports, parties and such; but college and advanced education is so very much more.
*Sims need a Simtube.com too so they can learn to build a boat, build a moat, bake a special cake, learn a new style of painting or a new craft altogether gain skills with quick videos or gain a part of a skill.
*Elder sims shouldn't all be the hip ol' granny or gramps still able to keep up with the kids. They should get new interactions like teaching younger sims, telling stories especially family tales to keep the family tree alive, who wouldn't like to know about crazy uncle Joe and his jokes or Silly aunt Sally and her passion for pink, baking cookies with Grandma, planting tips from grandpa, how to make an awesome new rug from old t-shirts, making a family quilt, building model rockets to launch in the backyard or at the park, rebuilding that old jalopy under the tarp in the garage and going for a joy ride then souping it up and making it a hotrod. I loved Grandpas farm in Sims3 horses, cows, and chickens to go with the gardening. It would be awesome to add things like making yogurt, cheese, sausages, burgers, steaks, more vegi's to grow or making wine, juice for the kids, outdoor pizza and bread ovens.
I could go on for days on the wishful ideas from past expansions. My over-all wish is better family dynamics, better or more choices for directions of simlife. Marine biologists, ghost hunters, paleontologists finding and exploring worlds, living a simple life on a farm or in the hustle of a city partying it up or a non-party life but still a good life. Creating actual family trees that are generations deep and Uncle Joe or Aunt Sue doesn't get forgotten just because Jimmy moves out of the family house, your family is still your family if your living in the family home, next door, across town or in a totally different city.

Everyone on here has a ton of great ideas <3 ! I haven't played The sims 4 for very long, but I noticed that flowers doesn't give much for players to do so I thought up that maybe there can be a stuff pack called 'Get Crafting' or something :) .
    * sims can use up the flowers crowding your sims inventory by creating flower arrangements and placing them in vases to decorate your house
    * flower pressing can be done to decorate picture frames and other things
    * fresh or candied flowers can be used to decorate cakes and be used in new dishes and deserts!(Surprisingly, a lot of flowers are edible and can be eaten.) Eating these dishes can give a positive buff called 'flower power' or something.
    * daisies and other flowers can be used to make flower crowns and other accessories that your sims can wear! I think all ages (except for babies of course!) should be able to wear/ make them.
*flowers can be used to make soaps and perfumes; using the soap/ perfume can change their emotion or give a buff ex; lilac perfume/soap can give a 'calm' or 'tranquil' emotion for a couple of hours. After a few uses it will run out and your sim will have to make more.
    * Finding gems and minerals can be sent to be cut into small spheres and shapes to be made into necklaces and other accessories!
    * Kids can make friendship bracelets out of beads and offer them to their friends, if they accept they automatically become best friends!
    * Sims can buy a pottery wheel to create vases, plates, and bowls!
    * a glass blowing station would be another creative way to make vases and beautiful plant watering bulbs!
*cotton can be grown and made into yarn or can be bought along with other fabrics which can allow your sims to knit or make quilts, which can be used as decoration or put on beds or even have sims curl up in them if it's in their inventory.

I just saw this idea and I love it! It would be amazing if we could use up those flowers in perfumes and soaps! If it's fine I would like to add some other things as well:

    * The sewing skill- sims can create quilts and other fabric crafts like scarfs, doilies and even stuffed animals if their skill is high enough!

    *Flower pressing

*Flower arranging- Sims could give them as gifts and each of the bouquets can have a different meaning or emotion tied to it depending on the flowers that you use! I also think it would be nice if the sims could make flower crowns and other accessories that they can wear or sell!

*Maybe even sims can use the flowers in recipes! (Surprisingly a lot of flowers are edible) It could give a buff called flower power or something like that not to mention it would look pretty!

*Jewelry making- Sims could create beautiful creations to give to their loved ones! Kids could make friendship bracelets and give them to their friends!
