@rosemow Is there anything left I can do to get my game to work I have done everything that you and @chesterbigbird have said to do, I really want to play the sims and I cant afford a new graphics card.
I am sorry that you are having this issue @chesterbigbird will be able to tell you if your graphics card meets the requirements for the game.
Are you unable to launch the game at all?
I have updated the drivers then resarted my pc but the problem still ocurs @rosemow
Could you please do another dxdiag report, now that you have updated your grraphics card? We can the check to make sure that it updated okay. If you would prefer to, you could copy it to pastebin, and then post the link to the report here in this thread. https://pastebin.com
I don't like suggesting this because i know that it can take a while to do and involves a large download, but you may need to uninstall, and reinstall your sims 4 game and packs .
First try repairing the game again. Then uninstall and reinstall origin. Then if the issue remains, you may need to uninstall /reinstall the game. Make a back up copy of your documents -electronic arts -sims 4 folder beforehand and place it on an external drive.
@Gamingbross007
I have not forgot about your problem, Will try and look into it today for you
It's not a easy problem to fix so will need to see if there is anything else you can do to troubleshoot.
@Gamingbross007
Do you have any issues with any other games?
Open The sims 4 config file.. Documents/Electronic Arts/the sims 4/Config. open with notepd
In the config file under
=== Graphics device info ===
Can you post all that graphics info here so i can check a few things.
@chesterbigbird This happened about a month ago but before it was working fine
I Wonder if it is a failing card issue. Usually most people get theirs fixed by turning off origin in game, but you have done that without success.
I come across this fix someone posted :
If you have it in Origin, you open up the details page for The Sims 4 and you should see the Game Properties button. To get to the details page click the "i" icon.... THEN enter the "-w" line into the box that appears. (without the quotes). Start the game and it should work.
No idea if that will work, But it's worth a try
OK so you have done everything to fix the game, updated drivers, Run ccleaner and reinstall origin and turn off origin in game.. and still not fixed.
It may be looking like there is a problem with the card itself.
Have you tried completely uninstalling and re installing the game?
Have you downloaded this yet as a possible fix? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53840
Made sure all antivirus software and firewall is disabled while trying to play?
The same error comment is popping up, i tried updating my card but it says its up to date. i unabled the game thing on origin then i tried again and it wont work?! any body knows? what i can do!

Hello @PrincessKiddo
Could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.
Or you could copy and paste the information to pastebin https://pastebin.com
and post the link to the file here
You will need to break up the link though by putting h.t.t.p. instead , because you are unable to post links because you are a new member.
@rosemow What do you mean h.t.t.p it.. btw i did all the other steps
Hello.
The h.t.t.p. is if you would like to copy and paste the information to pastebin instead of posting the infornation in multilple posts here in this thread. You wouldn't be able to post the direct link of the adress page from pastebin.

Hello
Your graphics drivers need to be updated. Go to the amd website, and update your graphics drivers. Then see if that helps with the issues.
