Yeah, sounds logical @rosemow , but today I logged on the forum and I actually can make a new discussion. The button appeared! Two days ago was probably a glitch. Weird. Thank you for helping me!

Hello
There seems to be times when new members are able to post new discussions, then other times they are restricted. I am glad that the button is available for you to create a new thread today
@rosemow
Hi. So weird, now the 'New Discussion' button disappeared again. Maybe I commented to much or something. A little explanation of the guru's would be nice... Because now I'm just confused.

Hello @NickSims
You have enough posts and nearly enough points to become a full member. You will soon be able to start a new discussion.
@rosemow I'm not sure you have to be a full member to post a new discussion. Some days I can most a new discussion and some days I can not and I still a "New Member". It seems to go away after I either post a discussion or a reply to something and will come back if I don't have any activity for a few days.

Hello @Rosedust You don't need to be a full member to post a new discussion. Sometimes though new discussions are restricted for new members, then at other times they are able to start them.
It is best to try to become a full member, and then you will be able to start discussions when you would like to,
You nearly have the required posts, and have over half the needed points.
Happy simming!
There is usually a blue new discussion button at the top right hand side of the screen in the forum sections. New discussion threads though may have been restricted for new members. You may not be able to start a new thread until you become a full member. This occurs sometimes , especially at weekends
You need to have 50 points and 30 posts before you can become a full member and can then post pictures, have a signature, edit posts , post links and change your profile picture. This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/770609/member-or-new-member-everything-you-need-to-know
If you have a game issue, you could post about your issue on another similar thread that another simmer has already started, and there will be simmers that will help you with your issue.
Hi! I would like to write something on my profile but I don't know how to do that. I see people have written text above the Reactions part of the profile, but I don't find how to write there. Where is the tool to write a description for your profile?

Hello @Nellythekidd
When you write in the box that is found just under the word "Activity" on your wall page, the text will appear at the top of your page on your wall.

Hello @Matt_Williams002 You have the required number of posts to become a full member but just need some more points. When you become a full member you will be able to start a new discussion.
I went to edit a post I'd just made because I noticed an error I had made, but I can't even find an edit button anywhere! Do you need a certain level in the forum to edit posts or something?

I'd already read through that but I guess I overlooked where you had to wait until then to be able to edit anything. That is one thing I don't see the point of, though the rest I can since I used to be a mod on a writing forum and have seen some of the crazy stuff people(and worse, spam-bots) try to pull.

Hello.
When you become a full member you will be able to edit posts.
I hope that you will be able to become a full member soon. Posting in the off topic section of the forums is a good place to start posting.
