My Legacy is a mix of the 100 baby legacy and a normal legacy. Every generation will have 10 children and there will be 10 generations so 100 babies total in the end.
I call it a gene challenge, because I am interested to see how the genetics pass from sim parents.
I just began the second generation.
I'm new to the whole legacy challenges and everything. How do you go about doing it?
By this I mean is there a group thing I should be joining and keeping informed of my progress throughout the challenge or is it merely a challenge for my own benefit? Either way I like the idea of the 10 Generation Challenge and am planning on having a go at it to see how far I can get and how many points I can score.

Hey, I sort of lurk around here, and I thought I'd answer your question. It really depends on you. A lot of people post stories of their legacies (either on these forums or on a blog), although it's perfectly alright if you don't want to. There are lots of different types of legacies, and if you attempt one, even if you don't want to post a story as such, people are always appreciative if you let them know you're trying their legacy, and maybe even post a couple of pictures of your heirs. I hope that explains everything!
CSquared (author of the original TS2 Who's Your Daddy Challenge) and I just remade the rules that Stircraxy converted over to TS3 a few years back, which never went past the Ambitions EP.

Are there any free will challenges? I used to run a survivor/big brother style game every time I got a new expansion pack with TS2 to test how popular new items were (amongst other new mechanics,) and the results were pretty amusing. I'll figure out the rules I played by and post them if anyone is interested.
I created an all-new sort of a variation of the 10 Gen Legacy! Although it can be more than 10 Gens, you fail if you don't complete it before the 10th Generation is gone or before the 11th Generation!
It's a Legacy Challenge, where different Species battle it out until one Species becomes the dominant Species of a world!
It's pretty fun, and there is almost literally a different outcome every time! And where you play also affects the progress of your game!

- there are 12 districts and each generation will be each district type for example: district 12 is mining

I'm trying to get a new kind of legacy going, using the premade families in the base game. The goal is for everyone to play the same family and to post their progress so they can see the variety of lives the same family is living - the differences in each generations, etc. Basic legacy challenge rules apply. We're starting with the Wolff family and will probably switch to a new family every month or two, but players and free to continue previous challenges if they'd like. This one is basically, every time a new family member or Generation is added to the Household, a whole bunch of new rooms must be added to the house.
