Thanks for the help @luthienrising. I did clean out my cache but I am still receiving the same notice. I guess I will have to see what happens when I try to start a new load since that is the only option the game is giving me right now. On a side note, does the fact that my last saved game was being played on Potter's…
Congrats to the winners of the Established category!! Thank you judges for your feedback, guess I'll see about fixing my slideshows when I come around back to playing
There is another thing to moving the house. I am not sure if it has been fixed, but I noticed that the exterior stairs will not move with the house. They just stay where you placed them.
I am going to step out of the next few challenges, including this one. Real Life is crashing hard on me right now. I started doing Vivian's house and as I stepped back just now and looked around, I've realized I need to set the game down to concentrate on RL. I am going to miss my little creative outlet, but it must be…
Hmm....does it need to look exactly like a Christmas tree? Remember, we only have three levels to play with. When I read your post and considered appearances in my head, I actually thought "Christmas Present Tree?" Have rooms as presents that would make up each layer of the tree. Either that, or use the octangular rooms to…
Sweet! Now I don't need to worry about the garage. As for the sewing room, I have an idea of how I can pull it off after glancing at some images for Arts and Craft style interiors. It's just finding time to do it that is tricky. Boss is on vacation next week and I am one of the managers, so it'll be....@_@
Carports are not really seen with colonial styles, @EEtheridge. Honestly, I'd rather do away with the garage altogether. I tried it out to see if I could mock it but the foundation tool makes it nearly impossible. Carport is just about all we can do in way of garage on TS4 right now. Otherwise, the challenge is do able.…
*glances at email, looks at pictures of her build then back at the request* Another driveway?! Er...um...I can figure this out! I think...* keeps staring at photos and the email* I do have one question. Could we possibly use whatever left over amount on the first part budget if we feel the need to do any kind of editing to…
I actually use this free program called OpenOffice from the Apache Software. It's an awesome program because it does let you create your presentation, write stories, use xcel-like program and a bunch of other things. I mainly use it for story typing and making presentations. As for where to post the presentations, I used…
Oh, no, I can place counters just fine and dandy. It's the windows and mirrors that aren't all that move-able. Windows only move up and down, rather than all around like paintings. Ah well, perhaps one day in a patch....
I kind of bounce around for any build that I do. My strategy is never set to one strategy. On this build, since I found a picture of the exterior that inspired me, I started with the shell and just played with interior. For stair placement, I decided on kitchen stairwell instead of a grand staircase. I agree with windows,…
Oooo I went to check out TSR for anything new on objects and I found this beautiful set! I bet this can help out with challenge #4, if ya'll want to use it. Since I am done with my build, I won't be using this set this time. Provence Dining Room I am loving this ability to add mods to the game without it making issues in…
Congrats to all winners and entrants for challenges 1 & 2, the participation is what makes these challenges fun! I love seeing all entries, so much variety
Thank you @DieterPrivate, I hope some of my choices helps you with yours. I kept Googling images for each room for ideas and to verify the look I did was appropriate.
On a further note, if anyone wants to have pumpkins added to their build, I discovered that someone has made the CC for it! thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims4-sets-objects-garden/title/pumpkin-patch/id/1263292/

Sadly the enlarge trick does not work on rugs. Le sigh Both of my starters are cc free due to how little I start the house off with. I believe in starting basic then go from there. My origin id is celdyson and my hashtag SouthernHavenDesign
Southern Haven Design presents the Woven Song Bird! A lovely little starter for the single sim with all the basic amenities, all it requires from you is some TLC. The home is S$15,171 on gallery. One Bedroom, One Bathroom 20x15 lot If having trouble finding the home, check the "unowned content" box. Not sure why it's doing…
OK, I have finished my house and ready to upload/take pictures. Just one little issue....the dagum upload image is a freaking wall!!! D: I have tried messing around with camera placement on lot but all I keep getting is either the interior wall of my house or the interior wall of the house across the street. I would…
No, it's not the lighting, I know about that one. The build/buy mode cheat that I am talking about is where you can select items that would otherwise be unavailable to you until you get the achievement required. I might just play to get those items but for building sake...there are some items that are just perfect but I…
I've been seeing hints of this and now I'd like to know more about this. How do you use the build/buy cheat in the game? All I keep finding is the mod from twistedmexican...is that the only one?
Thanks @DieterPrivate for making a Mr. Green. I might use him for photos since I am not entering the sim challenge. I can only imagine how difficult it is to purposefully kill a sim. Probably not as hilarious as accidental. So, what made him and his twin laugh so hard?
Wow...I've finished the bones and exterior of the house. I think I had a little too much fun with the landscaping. I have a maze...and I managed to make it creepy-ish...creepier with that ghostly garden gnome hanging out somewhere in it. Now for that interior...ehhh...I'll tackle that another day after tons of research
Hahah! I tried that reasoning on my husband because I have no shame in that area. Our toilet is enclosed as well, which makes him happy. He still accuses me of being raised in a barn. Ah well, relationships have their uniqueness
