I hope so, the silence has been going on for too long. I really don't know any other games company that is so determined not to let their fans get hyped about new content. If the game is to be released on the 31st like we suspect, then that's only 2 weeks away, how are you supposed to get excited about a pack and plan for…
This surprises me, as wasn't it made with custom content in mind? i'm sure I saw that they were encouraging the community in the making ofcustom content, so I wonder why they aren't bothering as much. :/
You're not alone, although I do feel i've seen more people do so with sims 4 than previous iterations, or maybe they're just being more vocal about doing so on the forums.
Same here, and in the same vein i've seen people buy new content simply because they're bored. The new content may not be what they wanted, or even good content, but they buy it simply because they feel the game isn't holding their attention.
Indeed, EA now know they can release a game without toddlers, pools, terrain tools, ghosts and even basic careers, and people will still buy it at release. Yes i know that some of these features have been patched in, but it still shows them that fans will buy it when such core features are missing. So what's to say that…
In my opinion it's not the fanbase / customers that seem to want sims 4 to fail, it's EA /Maxis themselves. If I had a product to sell I sure wouldn't be as quiet and cagey as they've been. Aren't we supposed to be getting a dine out pack this month? There's just 16 days to go until June, and we know less about it than…
That would make sense. Gosh it's all very confusing, more questions than answers, I'd love a simple answer from the Gurus, but i'm sure they're busy with other things.
No they're the disk versions. Product Description Electronic Arts Note:The disk in the box will not work with a MAC computer, as it's a PC only disk Box Contains Disc; manual
Amazon have the sims 3 basic pack https://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronic-Arts-PCOESIELE11002-The-Sims/dp/B00AHRD69S/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1463253210&sr=1-1&keywords=sims+3 It's £29.90 Which makes me giggle as it's only 10p cheaper than sims 4 which is £30…
I honesty don't follow... How an earth has sims 3 fizzled out when it's still 3rd on a list of best selling games in 2016. Yes it may have slowed after the initial release, but it sold 7 million more copies after those 3 months, and still continues to sell today, as evidenced by its place on the very list you linked to in…
Can you explain this? Where abouts in Europe has no bearing on the Euro itself. It's not like there's a Finish Euro and a Spanish Euro, if something is 40 Euros then it's 40 Euros everywhere.
Sims 3 topped all sorts of charts during its release, so what is it exactly that sims 4 has done that sims 3 failed to do? http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/117865/EA_The_Sims_3_TopSelling_PC_Game_Worldwide_In_2009.php
You asked for proof, you were given it, and now you're backtracking by claiming the proof you were shown is misleading. When in fact it shows exactly what you originally asked for.
It's optional, but not all are redeemed through codes, some are wireless in the same way people get DLC. it is optional, but surely free content is free content? So the new law about not announcing it still applies?
Actually that's incorrect. Pokemon are releasing a free Pokemon each month this year (apart from January and they have announced them all in advance. So I wonder where that fits in with the can't announce free content unless it is released in that fiscal quarter. http://www.pokemon20.com/en-us/mythical.html
That's what I don't understand, if the law applies to free content, surely no one loses out even if it's not released. People who are looking forward to the free content already own the game so they haven't paid out for it just on the basis of getting the free content. If it was paid content I could sort of understand as…
Right so they could tell us about a pack to be released in November, so long as it was to be for sale and not offered for free. Thank you, that explains why Pokemon have provided some information already. :) Does this also mean that the recent pack they have announced Dine out, could be held back and released at a later…
The point about toddlers would surely only apply if the toddler content was free? Just trying to make sense of this. If they were to offer it in an EP which was to be release in November, they could tell us now (knowing EA they would choose not to) But legally this would be ok?
Ah right that makes more sense, thank you :) Still it's a shame I know more about a game that release in November than I do about a pack which was many suspect will be released this month. Ah well that's the Sims 4 for you. :)
I find it so sad that a guru has commented 3 times in this thread, but not one of those comments was regarding the actual point the thread was trying to make. :(
