What surprises me is that there are four listings for TS3 EPs and TS4 is all alone with the base game.

Get To Work is up there as well. And that's normal. The Sims 2 games were still there when The Sims 3 was out also.
People are buying because they are all cheap.

If you are worried though, Get To Work launched higher on the chart than WA/Ambitions/Late Night/Generations/Pets/Showtime/Supernatural/Pets/Seasons/Island Paradise/Into The Future all did.

The only EP that debuted higher than Get To Work was University Life. And Get Together only had 3 weeks on sale. It should be there next year :)

Hahahaha....TS3 EP's are still at 40 euros and the starter pack is about 60 as well still.

Depends. I bought TS3 Late Night for under £10, or €12. Even on sale GTW and GT were £15/€19. Master Suite Stuff was like £4, lol.

Don't underestimate the 'savviness' of shoppers.. you can find games a lot cheaper on certain sites, compared to Origin. TS4 Base Game is £50 on Origin but I bought it for £22 on cdkeys.

The big difference here is that falllout and GTA are not PC only games like the sims. Since the sims have always been the top selling PC game, I expect it to be on that list. Mostly because it only sells on PC and has a 15 year presence in the industry. --SimCity 2013 is on that list...for the 2 copies it sold last year. LOL

True, but Fallout 4 and GTA V sold quite a bit on PC. And people buy the PC versions of those games moreso due to mods.
Star Wars not so much, but GTA V is a huge mod zone.

SimCity 2013 actually sold pretty decently on Origin, since it's been less than $5 for the game + all DLC for the majority of 2015. Lol. Nothing to be impressed about.

Link? Origin says different. Like majorly different.

This is the most accurate sales representation of video games the industry has. All professional gaming websites use this.
Even gaming developers use these to know whats trending, how the public is receiving their work etc. For example, they recently used this to determine if people are ready for VR or not.

Does it say how many costumers are happy with it? Does it say how much they bought it for? No.

It was to be expected. The moment good news about the game are released, someone will come and say these news are not accurate or are not relevant somehow. For me, the fact remains that Ts4 has made a list of top-selling PC games of 2015. A list elaborated by an independent market intelligence firm not affiliated with EA at all. So, even if these numbers are relative (PC gaming is a niche market compared with console gaming), the game can't be doing that bad. Or at least not as bad as some people here say/hope.

    The non American one darling.

There are different parts of Europe where the dollar is weak though. That's not an actual representation of The Sims 3's normal RRP :D

Only the ones that don't have the Euro, because last I checked the Euro and Dollar (American one) are on the same page.

Didn't SimCity fail before the Release of Sims 4 so in its failing the price would fall, too. . . Hmm. So, now TS4 is failing? With all the resent 50% sales they've been having... Reasoning is Aw3some.

Well, The Sims 3 had a $20 price drop permanently from just over a after launch. So to answer, more people probably payed full price for The Sims 4 in it's second year than The Sims 3, seeing as The Sims 3 wasn't available for full price in it's second year.

And happy with it? Get To Work had one of the biggest debuts for a Sims expansion, the only one being higher is University Life. So they must have been happy enough with the game to spend an extra $40 on it.

Love that quick subject change when presented with a fact.

It's not a subject change. Choosing the version of Origin where The Sims 3 is the most expensive is not a fact. Lmao.

They had 4 sales in one year. The Sims 3 was permanently reduced for a lot longer. It's only failing if they lower the RRP price. A sale means nothing. Star Wars went on a bigger sale than Sims 4, and it sold 16 million already.

They didn't choose the most expensive, they said it was 40 euros and you asked for proof

I know what the Euro is, but WHERE in Euro is what matters. Parts of Europe have a much stronger dollar than others.

What country though? I mean, do you want me to post a screenshot of the Mexican store on Origin where the games are like half the normal RRP?
You cannot choose certain countries where the dollar is weaker/stronger and use it as fact.

I could post a screenshot where The Sims 3 is super cheap in Mexico too. I'm not going to fall for a random European page.

What are you even saying? All parts of Europe that HAVE the euro have the same thing. There are more parts of Europe with the euro coin than the reverse, 19 countries to be exact, being England not one of them.

Market share can be measured in terms of units sold or in terms of revenues. In this case, the NPD group has used units as the basis for their calculations since it's a more accurate indicator of the market position of companies such as EA.
