No prom?

I thought prom was meant to happen either every Saturday or Sunday (I forget which) but I've just been through a whole weekend and there was no prom event. And I don't see any prom event coming up in the calendar either.

Do you have MCCC? It was causing an issue with prom. They posted a hotfix last night.

@PlayerSinger2010 yes but I downloaded that hotfix (the one that was meant to solve the prom issue)

@catloverplayer thanks, I added a me too. Also noticed that graduation not showing up in the calendar is another bug - I am experiencing this too

Well I took out mccc completely and there is still no prom on the calendar

I have updated MCCC and there is Prom on Saturdays. My Sim went to the auditorium, which I assume the prom is being held there on time, but it was empty.

I now learned that you need to go to that building and change it to Prom before it starts.

I refuse to disable GF pack.

Has anybody figured out a workaround yet? I want to get the pack for my birthday, but can't be bothered if two of the biggest features don't work.

@manicobsessive prom doesn't appear on my calendar but I have tested and it does still happen every Saturday so the not appearing on the calendar thing isn't the end of the world.

Oh! From what I heard people weren't getting the option to even attend! If it does still happen that's good to know.

@manicobsessive yeah I was having that problem until mccc released a hotfix for the problem (mccc was stopping prom from occurring). So far as I know, that was entirely a mod issue.

The prom glitch happened to me without mods on my PS5. It didn't happen on the scheduled Saturday.

Removing MCC fixed it for me. Disappointing to hear people without mods are having the issue as well.

It worked for me today on PS5 finally and I enjoyed my first prom of many but this time I didn't get a popup. I sent My Simself and his Girlfriend to the auditorium. Prom starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm.

I tested without mods and Prom was still bugged for me. The work around is to disable Get Famous since the talent show can overlap causing the issue.

This gives me hope the hot fix may have fixed this bug then. Sometimes they leave things out in the patch notes. I'll be sure to make another test save once I update my game.

I haven't seen any promposals. My sims girl asked him to the prom but she didn't do a promposal.

I play vanilla on my PC, that's probably why the Prom worked in my game.

It happens without mods too. Not everyone experiences the same bugs.
