Update Pending?

I just went into Origin to make sure I have it set so that auto-update on the game doesn't happen. To my surprise, I see that there is an update available on my game cover.

Is this the one people have been talking about? I thought that was due out next week. Now, I'm confused.

Yes, that is the August patch. I think the stuff pack releases on the 13th which is Tuesday.

Ah, that's where the misunderstanding came. I got the date and a heads-up from the MCCC mod help thread. So, you can imagine my surprise when I went into Origin to make certain I still had the auto-game update turned off. Only to see an update was available. (I was hoping to play today, too.) And, sadly, it wouldn't allow me to play unless I updated. This is aggravating to say the least. I can't play either of my two game saves since one relies heavily on MCCC and the other on RTF. So much for restarting the first save. I guess I'm not going to actually play my game today, but rather do some much needed housekeeping chores, as in reduce my 7-8 Tray saves down to just one. Tired of the clutter, quite frankly.

For future updates, what I like doing on patch day is I will log into my Origin account before the patch is released, even if I don't play the game at that moment. This way even after the patch is released I can play without patching when I do decide to start up my game. I do like what today's patch is fixing, but I am going to wait until after a couple of mods are updated as well.

That must have been what I did in the past. Sometimes I can start playing early, other days not so much. Today was one of those 'other' days.

I'm all patched, but have been filling a new save with builds from my current Tray that I wish to keep. Then I will delete the Tray to replace it with another one, until I've gone through all of the Trays I've saved on my desktop. (I don't know how I got here, but I'm now digging out, so to speak.) Then I will create a new empty Tray and upload the saves I really wish to keep. Nice, clean and fresh.

@Sharonia they did fix the restaurants, off the grid lots, and Sulani. That link is messed up, or at least it was for me, but I did get into it, but not by that link.
