From a freeplay (just the way I used to play Sims 3, when I first started playing - no pressures of story-writing...etc...just playing the game...)
Haruo heading into the grocery store to sell off vegetables and fruits. Two days into it, he had a cat (a stray that turned up at his door); the third day, he got a stray dog...(the dog found three Tiberium on top of the one Tiberium that he found in the dumpster. Now he's rolling in §. (Can someone tell me how the hell Townies would throw out a Tiberium in the dumpster - ~facepalm~)

No, he started out as a burglar in one of my games. I got him into my household and made changes and played with that sim in a couple of games. I then used that version to try to make him more Asian and played with him in one of my games. Now this version has so many more changes he doesn't look like the original at all.
Annie was so busy exploring, collecting, fishing, etc., in Egypt, she didn't have time to socialize, except when she went to the market to buy or sell something. So when her social needs got low, one of the things she did to bring it up was to play social games on her tablet.

Good idea. Another is to call someone from back home. They always answer and it does increase the relationship slightly.

Yeah, besides for chatting with the food merchant on the rare occasions when she goes to the market, that's the other thing she does. But back home, she gets her social needs met entirely from her horses, and she only knows one sim, a child who asked her to spin on the skating rink at the summer festival, who she afterward had a water balloon fight and soccer shootout with. It works though. Who knows, maybe they'll eventually be friends, because she's now in China and will need someone to call from there too.
Actually, she knows one other sim from back home, but that sim is the burglar she beat up one night, and she is not going to be friends with her!

This is Emily Hunter who is currently living in Barnacle Bay. Her mom is one of the sims I made and her father is one of the pre-mades from the bin. She is a travel writer, writing about all the places she visits! In this picture, she's back home in Barnacle Bay and she has just stood up from finishing dinner when she looked up at the night sky. I thought she had a lovely faraway, dreamy look. I guess she's hankering to go on another trip soon!

My Sim Tibor went to a party, he talked with one of the guests, the others were fownstars and ate the awful spaghetti the host had cooked.
