C3 (ciane's creative corner) Clue Mansion n Robins Roost Inn

This month's build and share was to create the Clue Mansion for Mr. Boddy. Requirements included being able to kill a sim in all the rooms via fire place, except the conservatory that needed a pool and the kitchen with old appliances. Also, only two bedrooms upstairs would have a single bed (for the last remaining Sim and Mr. Boddy's ghost). There would, however, be at least six bedrooms suites with their own baths - all in the appropriate clue colors - yellow, green, blue, purple, red, and white.

I put fireplaces in all the bedrooms and added beds to each as well, because sometimes you have to NOT follow someone else's rules.

I hope some of you participate in the build and share this month, whether you play by their rules or not is up to you. I'd love to see your creativity either way.

I wanted to put fireplaces in the bedrooms but just didn't have the funds. lol I splurged on the mansion part a bit too much, perhaps. Still fussing with mine, but hope to post pictures of it by this weekend.

I still absolutely love how you replicated the board, even down to having the *squares* in the hallway!

Clue Mansion looks very nice! Very nice exterior design of the home! The roofing looks nice and the chimneys look great! The white colour of the exterior gives it a great look, and is a great contrast to the different coloured rooms inside the building. The layout and furnishing of the interior of the mansion is very nice! The different coloured bedrooms look very nice! It is great that there are fireplaces in each of the bedrooms.
It is a very creatively designed build!

The simversions of the six character players look very nice! You have captured them very well in sim form! The colours of their outfits suit who they are!

Oh woops! LOL I didn't realize you had already edited your post to include their pictures! Very nice - very different styles each (the Purple looks a little like Bruce Banner to me for some reason. )

I've been participating in the Round Robin thread where we build for each other, one person at a time, taking a couple weeks on each build. This is last round of the builds and I'm doing an old medieval inn.



Oops, I planted one tree too close to the roof line! This is why you take pics. So much more becomes clear then.

Yep! I find the same thing. Many times I'm taking pictures, and I see something that just doesn't look right. (Especially when I'm in Sim's eye view.) Then I have to fix it, then sometimes I need to retake all of my other pictures!

This looks GREAT, Ciane! You know, you didn't really have to make it for me, but I'm awfully glad you did. It's going to look great in both Dragon Valley, and Cotes D'Ambonnay.

Forgot to mention: I love the CASting you did on the soothsayer's chair! That thing was always so gaudy, yet you made it look really nice and period. Going to have to save that as a preset.

The exterior design of the medieval inn looks very nice! Very nice layout, and the roofing and dormers look very nice! The wishing well is a nice touch in the build, and it is nice that there is a chicken coop at the inn. Very nice roof covered water trough area for the horses. The fenced harvestable garden nook is great! Sims will enjoy harvesting the plants and trees there. Very nice layout and furnishing of the interior of the inn! The texture of the walls gives a great feel and look to the rooms. Very nice dining hall! The type of seats used suits the type of build well! The banner looks great on the wall! Very nice gathering room! It looks very nice how the chairs have been placed there. Sims will enjoy resting there chatting. Nice chess nook in the hallway for sims to have fun playing chess. The type of chairs used in the bedroom looks very nice.
It is a very nice inn!

Well, I moved the orange tree and actually added a bit more space between all the trees. Then I fixed the ceiling tile that I noticed was off in the hall pic. I made the lot a community hang out. If I'd had WA installed on my laptop, I'd have made this a base camp for those with the traveller mod who can vacation in any EA world. I added the download link to the end of the picture post.
